Great wine and even better atmosphere. I came here with a friend and it was very cozy and relaxing. Will definitely come here more often.

We had our departmental holiday party here last weekend and it went splendidly thanks to Enso’s staff and their incredible space. Every member of their staff was knowledgeable and incredibly helpful to all of our guests. They made the process of booking and throwing a party their incredibly easy. I can’t thank them enough — the party was awesome and way more than we could have imagined!

Made it here for date night with the hubby and boy does it fit the bill: dark mood lighting, intimate corner spots, lots of urban décor, and a modern flare. The staff were friendly and helpful(note: you have to order at the bar). And the bread plate was super delicious. However, the dish that held the balsamic and oil was way too tall — we couldn’t mix the two resulting in the first half of our loaf being oil only(too bland) and the second half being vinegar only(too biting). Please try a shorter, wider dish for this! I was excited to try the wine flights that I saw on their menu online. I went with the red and he tried the vintner’s choice(Note: the latter came with 4 tastings instead of 5 for mine). I was pretty unimpressed with all of mine except the malbec. I noticed that most were winners of some sort of competition per the medals on the bottles on the shelf. But it just wasn’t my cup of tea(or glass of wine?) Overall, if you are coming for a very light bite and glass of wine — a good spot. But not terribly impressed by the rest of the menu or the taste of my reds. Worth a try for sure.

Love this place! The dance portion of our wedding was held at Enso. Beautiful space, fantastic wine, and excellent service. If I had to do it over… I would consider having my entire event here. Ceremony and dinner was at Washington High School– Rooftop deck. Thanks Enso for a memorable evening!

A friend took me here to meet up and grab a glass of wine. Nice, big space, somewhere that would be good for groups to meet up with for a tasting. We each just had a glass of something, service was slow and no one was really around. After the server not really acknowledging us we realized you probably had to order at the bar… bit awkward. So we walked up and then he told us that he would come to us. My friend ordered a glass of white and I ordered a glass of red. It was red. That was about it. Not sure what they really specialize in. Again, cute space, easy location, plenty of street parking and restaurants nearby. Somewhere to go grab a glass of wine before going to dinner maybe. Not somewhere that had me thinking I really wanted to go back to though, nothing stood out.

We stopped in on the way to seeing live public radio next door. Had half an hour, so we decided to get a glass of wine. After dithering pleasantly we ordered a glass of wine a $ 6 rosé for me, a $ 8 Chardonnay for him… and then seconds later we realized that it was the same price for us to get a bottle of rosé. Might as well get a bottle! We got a bottle of decent rose and some Marcona almonds and then proceeded to be late to our show. It started to pour as we sat there sipping wine and chatting so we ended being soaked AND late to our show. Lovely atmosphere, decent wine, great prices. Fair warning, prior plans may be seriously derailed.

Always a great time at ENSO. Their wine is affordable and great, beautiful interior and friendly staff. Their table red and white blends are great!

I loved the décor at this place. It’s very open and romantic/chill. Came her with two girlfriends and we all got flights of wine. I enjoyed all the ones we tried. I also had a really good pinot gris here. The charcuterie had really yummy salamis! Plus the bartender was easy on the eyes and quite the schmoozer ;)

Fantastic! Try their Sangria, it’s refreshing and spritzer like, which is ideal for this hot weather. So glad we stopped by.

What a beautiful place! It’s a hidden gem. I could just sit there for hours sipping the delicious enso wines. Great selection of meats and cheese as well. When I think urban winery, I see a place like Enso. We also booked their event space and had an awesome time. The people who work there are super nice and very cooperative. I recommend this place to all my friends.

I adored this cozy urban winery! The setting is something to rave about. They did an amazing job with the dim lighting, table set up in the main room, and the bar counter. It made for an intimate yet casual night to enjoy some good wine. The wine itself is nothing to scoff at, it works in tandem with the setting, but is definitely the highlight, as it should. The reds were smooth yet robust and bursting with different flavors. Not to mention, you can get a flight(5 pours) of their reds for $ 10, I was shocked beyond belief because I’m not used to that. I left completely content. Partly because of the service, which was exceptional, but mainly for the wine and the ambiance.

Absolutely love the vibe and atmosphere here. I came later in the evening on a weekday night, and there was plenty of room and tables. It was exactly what I was looking for, and the wine was delicious. It was a darker setting and they had a nice cozy looking, albeit fake, fireplace and candle lit tables. I would love to come back but would hesitate on the weekends from what I’ve heard about this place being too busy. I do wish they had later hours also.

Sure, the wine is exceptional, but have you tried their sparkling wine cocktail? Blood orange, cardamom and cava. Essentially a cocktail mic drop inside this winery. At least in my world. It’s not even prominently«advertised» on the various chalkboards or wine menu. Sneaky, huh? That drink should be bottled and sold in specialty stores around Portland!

We went on a Tuesday night by happenstance while we were out for a walk. We ended up picking up a delicious bottle to take home after we enjoyed a taste of some selected reds. I liked the atmosphere and vibe and will be back again to try some different wines. Cheers!

Came by at 4pm on Friday, 10/17, to check out happy hour and buy some bottles for a party. Parked on the street in front of the entrance, but the signs were a little confusing, so my friend asked the bartender if it was okay to park. Her response was curt, snarky, and something to the effect of, «I don’t know… sometimes they come around to ticket… you know, like, ‘police officers’…I DON’T KNOW!». Okay, I see… you must not want to be bothered by customers? Great, no problem. A simple«Sorry guys, I’m not really sure» would have been more than adequate. Can’t comment on the quality of the wines because we left, and there is no way we are supporting this business or buying these wines. To the woman working behind the bar that day: you were so rude that you deserve to be fired. If you are the manager or the owner, you have terrible business sense.

ENSO winery is really cute! The term«urban winery» is very new to me as someone from Hawaii, but this is a cool concept. The grapes are imported from vineyards in Oregon and Washington, but the wine is made right in the back. You’re free to look around back there to observe the process if you want. We even got to peak at what was brewing in one of the barrels! If you’re curious, there’s a huge map drawn on the back wall that shows where the grapes are from. As everyone has noted, the ambiance is really top notch here. Looks like an old garage made into a cozy space with couches, tables, clean bathroom, plants at every table, nice and clean décor. It’s small, but the high ceiling makes you feel comfortable. I love that they have flights of wine for $ 10. You can select from a flight of red, white, or a mix, with 5 wines each. The wines were okay. Not too memorable but still tasty. The sangria($ 8) wasn’t my favorite, but I’ll give them points for warning me it was going to be different than most other sangrias. It was an unsweetened, bubbly, dry rosé with frozen berries. However, it tasted more like a wine diluted with club soda. As I said, not my favorite, but it seemed to be popular amongst the regulars. They offer bread, meat & cheese platters but we were full so we didn’t get to try the food. If you don’t have time to go to an actual vineyard in «wine country» Portland, this is a good alternative to taste some wines and enjoy the urban winery experience.

Great wine, love the atmosphere… came on a wine club day… I think it was an appreciation day for being apart of the wine club. It was lots of people and a taco cart outside with good food. Big groups are fun! You can walk around and meet new people and of course try new wines. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about their wines, which are pretty tasty. This place is great for events too!

Came here with a wine tasting voucher. For two people, we each got seven wine tastings. The generous tastings were good, but I don’t remember a specific wine that I would want to try again. I like that each wine came with a description on a paper that came with the flight. They also serve beer on tap and bread and cheese platters. Service was good.

Wine = dinner parties with black dress and tinkling glasses amidst toasting. Rolling Piedmont hills and walks among the grapes for sure come to mind, maybe even a proposal. Maybe that’s all bullshit. you could be in senior year and running a mariokart tournament while chugging black box. Either way, you hear«urban winery» and you’re intrigued – where are the vines? Don’t be alarmed: ENSO earns a 6⁄5 for ambiance. There’s a living room space if you want seclusion. There’s an open warehouse bar if you prefer great breeze and day drinking. Want sunshine. take your pick of the table’s outside. Charming service recommends other local spots while dropping off the free almonds(well-salted!) and olives(great variety!) before providing another dose of explanations about the winery. Great variety in the several inexpensive flights, 10 – 11 varieties all in-house. The rose was particularly nice. ENSO’s a no-brainer for tourists. You’ll certainly leave appreciating Portland, and if not already, you’ll definitely become an urban-wine enthusiast. For locals, ENSO’s the perfect reason to become an urban-wino.
