UPDATE: Still great. I’ve been going here for years. The shop is great, spacious, and friendly vibe. Cindy gives a good no-​nonsense haircut at a good price. «Vicious» dog (NO, not really) sometimes there as well, which I consider a plus.
I first went to this shop years ago after I attempted to get a trim from a barber in Falmouth. He refused to cut my hair and was VERY nasty about it — because I am female. I’ve been going to barbers for many years and that had never happened to me. I hope that guy has retired –but no matter.

Great place for a haircut! The two ladies here are great, and service is way better than the places downtown (much cheaper too). It’s hard to beat the $ 14 deal! After experiencing a horror story $ 44 basic haircut downtown, I would never dream of going to another barber in Portland again besides Forest Ave. Barber Shop. I’ve only been here 3 times over the past year, but the ladies still remember my name and background.
Note: this place only accepts walk-​ins and is also cash-​only I believe. But from my life experience, there’s usually something special about a place that does not accept plastic.
Bottom line: If you’re looking for a quality haircut at a great price, then look no further!

My new go-​to barber shop. Yes, it’s a BARBER shop. Not Supercuts. Not a $ 40 haircut from a fancy place downtown. In and out, great service, great prices. Simple, easy, and inexpensive.
