I’m almost hesitant to write this review, because I don’t want people to come in and snatch up all the good stuff! I LOVE this Goodwill. Yes, it is more expensive, because they only have higher end clothing, shoes, accessories, etc., but that is what makes it a five-​star Goodwill. If you are looking for quality, secondhand clothing at a great price, this is the place to go.

Way to overpriced for a goodwill, i like a good bargain! However they did have nice stuff!

This is the fanciest Goodwill I’ve ever been to! All high end stuff. For someone who loves Coach at good prices, THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU!
It wasn’t what I was expecting, the prices were kind of high, I was looking for a traditional Goodwill with the regular prices and colored-​tag days. But while I was here, I didn’t mind looking around!

This is a very high end Goodwill with lots of designer items. This place feels less like a thrift store and more like a high end consignment shop. Don’t expect to find any amazing thrift store prices here!
The store is set up nicely with the clothes sorted by style, but the selection is not that large. You might find a gem here and there, but it probably won’t be in your size! The shoe section is also quite small. It is all presented very nicely though, which makes for an enjoyable shopping experience. They also have a security guard there.

This Goodwill is a great place to buy work clothes. I got a really nice pair of Ann Taylor slacks in great condition for only $ 20. However, it is pretty limited to work clothing/​clothing for older men and women, not a lot of trendy items. It is also a little pricey. I bought a Free People tank top for $ 20. I was hesitant to even spend that much on it, but I really liked it so I went for it. Later that day I found two of the exact same tank top at the Buffalo Exchange on Burnside and those were only $ 10 in the same condition, so it was definitely overpriced as a thought. But for professional clothing this place is great and the prices are on point in that department.

I could do without all of the boring Banana Republic and Loft items, but otherwise a great mix of fun and traditional stuff. The prices seemed fine to me, as the condition of most pieces is quite good, and I had to do less hunting to find what I wanted.

High end stuff, Prada, Dior, etc. Super small location, located off Taylor and 10^th (right next to library). Security officer inside, kinda weird. But if you want a good deal on a lot of high end product, come here! Nicely lit and not like any Goodwill you’ve ever been to.

I don’t understand why this store has such low reviews. Yes, it’s an upscale Goodwill, and prices are a bit higher. But it’s well kept and nicely arranged and I think it’s a perfect fit for this area of town. Ideal place to pickup a new outfit for work or a nice night out. They had a great selection of dresses and cute tops.

No! This is not Goodwill. It feels like a funeral home where people’s ugly crap goes to be embalmed. Boutique for a whole other customer. First of all, I don’t care if you have a Michael Kors dress in the window… I don’t get it! Its like they hired someone to curate a regular thrift store but they go and pick the crap you can get on sale at Ross for near the same price new, and then mix it with some tacky 90s crack dealer basketball fashion, then sprinkle in some highlighted choice bric-​à-​brac on fancy shelving, OH BROTHER. I’m sorry. It is so annoying. Go see for yourself. There’s another one on Hawthorne

Is it because this goodwill is downtown? Everything is so much more expensive than other goodwill stores.
Yes, they display quite nicely, but the products themselves are no different to any other goodwill.
So why have prices of a second hand boutique store?

I didn’t realize it until right now, but the last time I cruised through here was 4÷9÷13 and today is 4÷9÷15. Same dates and more or less same review on this the second anniversary of my last visit here. I always enjoy my visits and love looking at all the pretties, but found nothing that made me bring out my wallet and spend (high-​ish prices). They had some spectacular handbags here that made me purr and one pretty peach-​colored top that would be great with my coloring. I guess the «you never know» factor always brings me back for more (like the cool sweater I found last visit and still wear), but as usual I left with nothing. The store is clean and the staff friendly and willing to help. Oh yeah, I will return — I know myself too well; after all you just never know what you’re going to find, LOL.

Most pretentious goodwill I’ve ever entered.
Everything was $ 20. Nothing is $ 20 at a normal goodwill unless it’s a full outfit, or some wonderful packaged antique. The store was itsy-​bitsy, the selection very small, and the girls’ attitude was that all the customers were an inconvenience to them. One woman even asked me (second in line, so I’m not sure why she ignored the first woman) if I was ready, as she was helping a little old woman at the jewelry counter, and then when I said yes and said she couldn’t help me, gesturing to her customer, & implying that her hands were tied up, until the little old lady hurried up.
I did not like the vibe of this store.
Hopefully I caught it on an off day. But I’m not thinking so.
You’re working to help the poor, not at a Coldwater Creek. Please, Humble yourselves goodwill.

Absolutely unbelievable! Not only is it corporate & unfair to its employees, but I’ve now found 3 items here priced higher than the actual Target clearance tag that’s attached. When I questioned the employee, she looked annoyed at me and would make note to «remove» the tag next time. I will not return to Goodwill-​Im staying local next time I want to thrift shop it! Way too over priced.

I would have to agree with everyone … About halfway… To me it seems like some days there is some real great stuff to be had. I am a bargain shopper, and know a good price when I see one. So don’t be stooped when you walk n here and assume that because it’s used it’ll be cheaper (on a high-​end retail scale). Because, like some reviewers said, there are some awfully ridiculous prices. $ 29 for Anne Taylor LOFT that was probably $ 8.99 on the clearance rack. But other times, I found a (tag still attached) merino wool J Crew sweater for $ 19.99, where, even on clearance was probably in the $ 40 range. Most often, I find prices to be more expensive than what you would get on EBay for a better quality, minus the gamble.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for $ 2 pair of pants, not the store for you. If you’re relying on finding what you came for, not the store for you. But if you’re up for an occasional good deal when you see one, keep checking this place out. I think it depends a lot on who prices the items that day/​shipment. 3 stars for inconsistency and the excessive amount of «Coach» items in any condition. But if that’s your thing… If you’re looking for some real designer items at competitive prices check out women consigning on nw 11^th. Like another reviewer said, the men’s stuff seems a bit better, my husband came home with some nice ties that just needed to be pressed.

How is this a goodwill? Not only is it overpriced for a thrift store, but items are overpriced even if they were being sold at a regular store! $ 35 for a simple leather belt with no brand? I think no.

I was appauled at the negative comments and reviews for this store; it’s amazing how many people are willing to trash such a wonderful establishment in the name of «being fair.»
Yes, this GoodWill store is not an average GoodWill store in terms of pricing and merchandise. But that is not enough grounds for a negative review. The items carried by this branch are high end, designer brands that would otherwise cost four to five times the cost elsewhere. The items are clean, organized, and in excellent shape.
Please keep in mind that the goal of GoodWill is not to sell clothes at the cheapest possible prices, but rather to donate its proceeds to those in need. That goal is not undermined with this store; if anything, this store is generating more capital that goes towards helping people in need. There are 10+ regular GoodWill stores in the greater PDX area, if you truly want a shoe that costs $ 5, go to the other branches. But don’t come here and expect to pay $ 5 for a pair of Cole Hans.
The store carries an excellent selection of both men and women’s items. I always go here to buy my work clothes and end up saving hundreds of dollars worth of money. Just recently I purchased a DKNY suit that would have cost me $ 500+ at Macy’s for $ 100 and I was very happy with it.
Please reserve negative reviews for establishments that deserve them. Just because you want yo pay $ 10 for a Gucci handbag is not a good enough reason to trash an otherwise helpful and very much needed store.

I am an avid thrift shopper and advocate for thrift store shopping. But for the life of me, I can’t see spending mega bucks on USED (even though nicer and higher quality!) clothing, handbags and shoes!
Goodwill is for PROFIT — clearly! This particular boutique caters to the high-​end shopper… Which is kind of an oxymoron… Since you’re shopping in a «THRIFT» store!!!
I was looking for work trousers… Since the VALUE VILLAGE on 82^nd went out of business in December 2013, I have had to start looking at other thrift stores for new treasures.
Unfortunately, I only left this store with a pair of $ 1.57 gloves… only because it was snowing, freezing outside and I forgot my gloves!
I tried on 4 pairs of trousers — nothing less then $ 19.99 per pair. The only trousers that were less were SUMMER pants. I tried on 4 nice pairs of trousers (Talbots, Ann Taylor and Gap). Nothing special about black or grey pants! Since I am on a budget and needing some work clothes, I don’t want to break my budget on 2 pairs of pants! So I headed to another thrift store a few blocks away. Where I got 6 pairs of trousers, 2 shirts, a purse for my daughter and some BRAND NEW high-​end nail polish… All for the bargain price of $ 13!!!
The shoes at this Goodwill are way overpriced! I saw a pair of Tori Burch open-​toed wedges for $ 49.99 — not even in «like-​new» condition, either. Later the SAME DAY, I was out at the Salvation Army Thrift Store and saw the same exact pair — in the same condition — for $ 7.99!
I think the best priced items are the handbags. You can get a really nice brand for a really nice price!

Can someone, anyone please explain to me why stuff at this Goodwill is more expensive than it would be than say in the original store where said items could be found for the clearance sale price? Huh? I am waiting.
Seriously, the stuff in here is so ridiculously, stupidly, overpriced I am amazed that this store stays in business. Just because this is an ahem, «boutique» Goodwill store that carries nicer, name brands and designer items, somehow all reason is abandoned by both the store and shoppers alike.
Better bargains for name brands and designer labels can be found at the many consignment shops around town. To date, I have yet to find that reasonably priced, Goodwill priced item here.

This place is a goldmine if you’re an experienced thrift shopper. It’s a location where Goodwill funnels a lot of nicer merchandise. Is it more expensive than most Goodwill locations? Yes. Clothes from Nordstrom cost more than clothes from The Gap, and most of what you’re looking at in this location comes from high-​end retailers. Actual Polo shirts, not the RALPH by Ralph Lauren garbage labels. I’d rather buy a used shirt for $ 20 that’s of high quality and will last another 5 years than a janky $ 20 polo that’ll pill and dissolve a year later.
Like any thrift store, you need patience. Be okay with walking out empty-​handed. They might have nothing in your size, or the right price, or the right color or whatever.
Most thrift stores in Portland seem to reject nothing, being flooded with old concert tees, ratty old plaid that probably came from Hot Topic circa 1997, and hideous «ironic» materials and patterns. This Goodwill is a wonderful oasis for anyone looking to build an adult wardrobe on a budget.

Their awning says «Goodwill on 10^th». Well they told you now didn’t they! They seem to carry «labels» in their clothing that are supposed to reek of old money perhaps? I think the folks that are doing the pricing of these articles need to recognize «dated» items vs. «retro» and «vintage».
However, I also like the fact that this place is a step up from the normal Goodwill «shops». I don’t have as much chazerai to go through and it’s real easy to browse. The items are all on hangers and fairly organized. They also seem to be cleaner and not wrinkled. They don’t have so much inventory that it becomes overwhelming like some of their other stores.
I do think though that this store is trying too hard to be uppity and they might be a little too big for their britches.
