Hassalo on Eighth

I have lived at Hassalo on Eighth (Velomor) for about a month. I don’t often give reviews, but this place is really deserving. First off their property management team is top notch. They really care about you and making your experience here great. From the time we viewed units to our move in — everything was easy and made us feel at home. The unit we live in is lovely: Very quiet; top notch appliances, beautiful finishes and very homey feel. The common areas are kept very clean and fresh and the concierges are not only very helpful, but friendly and personable. We lived in the Pearl before and we it felt very cold. Our little dog loves it too.
The location is great — right on the Max and PDX Streetcar lines. I also like that they have NORM which is a state of the art wastewater recycling system and are LEED platinum certified — Cool. Bike parking galore, awesome workout room onsite, doggy parlor and pet relief area with a beautiful courtyard and rooftop gathering area.
The Lloyd District is being transformed: I have worked in this area for over a decade and what is going on with the residential development, retail additions and well as the renovation to the Lloyd Center Mall are changing the face of the Lloyd District. So looking forward to the Green Zebra opening up just steps away as well as Café Yumm, Garden Bar and many more! I would highly recommend this place (and I’m not very easy to please)!

Hassalo on Eighth has been the best place I have ever lived. The concierge is awesome. The location is perfect. The employees are beyond friendly and helpful… And the amenities are breath taking. Thank you Hassalo for the PERFECT place to live.

All I can say is that the team that has helped me choose an apartment and negotiate the incredibly hard move from the Big Island of Hawaii to Portland has been wonderful. I have yet to arrive, but have the lease signed and Amy, Jessica, Angela, all of them have worked graciously to help me, from sending me videos to letting my two friends preview my apartment. I love Portland, and am so excited to join this new community. These are best folks I have ever worked with when it comes to leasing an apartment.
