Holly made my wedding skirt for my wedding this summer, and she was wonderful to work with. She was completely open to my ideas and inspirations, but kept her integrity as a designer. I love to see what small batch work she brings into the store, because it inspires me as a maker. Thanks Holly!

I generally equate«Boutique«to be shorthand for«out of my price range». What I love about Haunt is that it’s not. While it does have high end jewelry and clothing there is also very affordable and unique pieces. One of the first times I met with Holly Stalder, owner and brilliant designer, she told me she likes to make the kind clothes that are in everyday peoples price range — a women after my own heart. As someone who is rapidly growing out of Forever 21, this is just music to my ears. I happend upon Haunt by chance in search for my wedding dress. I knew one thing for sure and it was that I didn’t want to step into a big box wedding dress store — and I wanted to keep it local if possible. Holly was all of that and more. I shot her an e-mail and we quickly made an appointment to get together for some brainstorming and some serious dress-up playing. I knew Holly was«the one«. Not only is her creatively abundantly apparent in her design but she is so sweet and accommodating. My dress was affordable and no-fuss. She gave me just what I was dreaming about and it fit like a glove. Our timelines were clear, Holly was prompt and even helped this clueless bride pick up shoes and jewelry. I could not be more happy with my dress and the transaction as a whole. She even added some of my sisters wedding dress into the fringe of my dress making it that much more special. My day wouldn’t have been as magical without her magic and I would recommend Haunt and Holly Stalder to any Bride.

happenchance to walk in after a year of wanting to check out Haunt’s neighbor, Sword +Fern. happy i did. beautiful jewelry, delicate clothing mixed with feminine Pacific Northwest edge. a little bit of everything; and a lot of personal willpower to limit my purchase to a long amethyst necklace and over-sized agate ring. ladies working were polite, the shop understated, wide price range for most budgets. i will be back.

If it wasn’t for my shopping trip to Redux, I’d have no idea that this shop existed. I walked in on a whim when I saw something cute on their window display — a wool chevron-print pouch; which I ended up purchasing two :) The store is rather small but there’s a little bit of everything here: jewelry, vintage shirts & dresses(even wedding dresses?), wedding-esque accessories like headbands & pearl necklaces, rings, pouches/clutches, etc. I hope my 3-star rating isn’t a sign of disrespect, but the overall items in the store just wasn’t my usual cup of tea. I am a fan of helping out local artisans so I was happy to leave with a purchase. Perhaps the next time I visit Redux, I’ll pass by this place again to see if another item on their window display catches my eye.

Amazing selection of delicate, ladylike pieces in a soothing, oasis-like atmosphere. Check out the beautiful hand-knit designs by Laura Irwin!

Portland is a creative town, including one of a kind and limited clothing. Haunt is for that. It is the outpost of Holly Stalder, who started Portland’s fashion renaissance, Laura Irwin, champion knitter/hat lady and Rachel, who makes soulful jewelry and has a pretty rad collection of garage sale snarfed taxidermy, some in the store. There are less than a number counted on one hand of nationally known designers of wedding dresses in Portland. Holly is one. She is well known and nationally published for her one of a kind bridal designs. Very cool lady clothes store, and gift spot for guys for their ladies.
