I could not be more satisfied with the fine attention I receive from Dr. Dahra Perkins and her team. My first visit began with an hour-​long talk in her consultation room during which she asked me many questions about my life – and not only about my health history. Only then did we move to the examination room. Her approach is to see her patients as people who are more than the sum of their ailments. Wellbeing is the palpable goal at Integrative Primary Care Associates, and I have felt in very good hands since I started seeing her more than three years ago.

My insurance company’s website indicated this office was covered for me and they were accepting new patients. I called and was told they are taking new patients. Yay! Then when I told her what insurance I have, she said they aren’t accepting new patients with THAT insurance. So, they are accepting patients, but not me. Nice. If they aren’t going to accept people with my insurance, they should take themselves off the website.

I’ve been seeing Max for quite some time, and he’s been great. He’s thorough, remembers what you talked about months ago, and is a good man.
The front office phone guy is a bit abrasive, if not downright rude, but Max and Vera have gone out of their way to help me multiple times.

I didn’t even get past the process of trying to be seen by a doctor before I realized that the service and patient care here was a joke. I wasn’t able to get anyone on the phone when I called to try to get in to see a doctor last week (very frustrating as I was having a severe panic attack and needed to be seen by someone). I decided to send an email through there website and did get an email back from Sandra (no phone call, just a brief email response) saying that they have a few providers that could see me. After responding that same day (Friday), it wasn’t until Monday that I received another email from Sandra (again, no phone call… just an email) respond to a question I had about their providers by saying «yes». That was literally all that was in the email. I then responded saying that I would like to schedule and appointment, and attached my insurance card to make sure they accepted my insurance. I then received a long email back (the next day) from Sandra, being lectured about how it is the patients responsibility to know what coverage their insurance provides them with and that she isn’t going to call my insurance company for me to verify any coverage. She even said (and I quote) «your insurance company is the one that pays the bill so it is their responsibility to tell you what coverage you have». Receiving a lecture about how I need to deal with my insurance company is the last thing I need from someone when I am under severe stress and am attempting to ask for their help… especially when all I was asking is whether or not they actually accept my insurance. I never once asked her to verify benefits for me. Rude. Ridiculous. Horrible response time. Would NEVER want to be one of their patients if I had a mental health emergency. I’m happy to say I have found another provider who called me on the phone and scheduled and appointment to meet with me this week. Seriously, simply calling these people to inquire about treatment will trigger your anxiety. BEWARE!

Absolutely horrible. Every time I go here and see Vera I leave feeling insulted. Don’t go here, even if it’s your last choice

2 times I have called seeking to be seen by my doctor with strep throat. Both times have been told the only available appointment was at least a week away or to just go to urgent care. What is the point of having a doctor if when you need them you can’t be seen?
