I don’t understand why there are so many bad reviews. Jimmy’s is a great dive bar. Every night during the week they have a different special or discount. My favorite is the beer and burger special on Wednesdays for $ 4. They have a grill and all of the bartenders actually know how to use it. You can almost always play pool there and lately I have been loving their selection of beers!!! I also really love that their cocktails are affordable!

Respectable beer selection. One giant screen for the main event and six or seven undersized tv’s for everything else. Audio can be hard to hear with echo and other noise. Food is average. A neighborhood drunk or two are typical. Service is great. Jimmy! Get rid of the lights above the bar counter — they block the big screen when sitting at the bar.

Went for karaōke and had a blast! DJ Ariel knew how to get the bar up and going! Drinks and food was reasonably priced and the staff was close at hand.

I’ve lived right next to Jimmy’s for 8 years and have been there countless times. Alexis is great and it ends about there. You can often find Jimmy and his friends in there, which isn’t bad because that’s what I would do if I owned a bar, but they are often rude. Not a great neighbor. I’ve had my car hit by drunk people, my yard peed in, and have to deal with loud music and drunk people yelling on a weekly basis. I know, I know– who cares if I don’t live right next door? Valid point. What others would care about — the food is all heated up frozen food except maybe the chili. The staff is horrible, especially the emo brunette with the jean shorts and the customers are either the depressing regulars or PCC students who wish they could join a frat. I wish more than anything this was a classier place with some good food. As it stands, it’s an ok spot when you’re in a bind.

The food and the atmosphere was great. The blonde bar tender was awesome. She was very helpful and attended to our needs! The tall brunette bar tender behind the bar however was not very helpful. It seemed like our requests were not welcomed. Would love to see more bartenders like the blonde girl.

Food and drinks were good. However the service from the tall brunette was terrible. The short blond was amazing and looked like she was doing all the work. I hope they find better staff like the blond.

Always an awesome night on Saturday! Best Karaōke KJ in town! Great humus plate and the bartenders are super nice and very fast. I love this place!

A friend and I headed over to check out Jimmy’s a little while back, given that I lived not far away and had driven past it so many times without stopping by. We were glad we did: the bartender was friendly, the place had a kind of old-school, unpretentious and worn-around-the-edges neighborhood feel, and the food was actually decent(not gourmet, but certainly a step up from what you often get at a local watering hole). Sports were on hand on the TVs, but we didn’t feel like we «had» to watch the game or risk looking stupid. Using a Unilocal coupon, we were in and out of there with two beers and two sandwiches/burgers for about half the price of more«hip» places. Just keep in mind that this is old-school, in a friendly way, and not a Portland Monthly all-the-rage sports bar kind of place… which is a nice thing to know can still survive in this town to help keep it real.

Friendly service, and reasonable draft beer. Place is really dated, but for the price and service, it’s ok.

This is your average bar… I can’t speak for the«grill» aspect because I did not order food here but I’m sure it’s good. Bartenders are friendly, there is ample seating downstairs along with a pool table and some video poker. Upstairs is a little loft with clean bathrooms and a shuffleboard. The shuffleboard isn’t the greatest but will do if you have the itch. Good little place to get your drink on.

I enjoy Jimmy’s. They have good service and the food and drinks are reasonably priced. I had the Bacon Cheese Burger and I’ve had their salads and soups. All had awesome quality and average food wait times. It is an older crowd. I’m early twenties, so it isn’t the best place to be meeting new people my age. Local bar with a lot of regulars.

No pretense here, comfortable, congenial, sane pricing… a big tall open space, tad bit echo-y, food is good, ample beer selection and great Bloody’s.

Beers okay… foods edible if you get what you ordered… atmosphere is marginal… help is questionable… bartender is a dick! Will never go back…

I had a pretty decent time at Jimmys. They have several beers on tap and a full bar and menu. Maybe it was also the beer talking but my Philly Cheesesteak was really tasty. Perfectly chopped meat… onions and peppers grilled nicely… and of course some slathered american cheese. You can tell it’s certainly a neighborhood place. Lots of locals. I like the fact that they have an upstairs area and plenty of TVs for watching sports. Nothing out of the ordinary and nothing specifically that stands out about this place other than I think they have better bar food than most. The staff is fairly quick. Atmosphere is laid back. I would definitely come back if I was ever in the area.

Love this place! Love Jimmy and love all the great bar-tending staff! Great atmosphere and my wine glass is never empty here. And you’ll never miss a game.

Casual, Sportsy, friendly bar. It’s like your friends living room, except the booze and food aren’t free. Ha. Very comfy. It might be my pick for ‘where to watch football this year’. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Plenty of beautiful, crisp TVs to watch. For what I expect and want from a sports bar in Multnomah — this is perfect. Low key. Mixed crowd and the owner is usually socializing with his customers. I ordered hot wings and didn’t want them soaking in buffalo wing sauce. Chlea?, I believe was her name, was willing to make them less saucy and they were perf. Thanks for accommodating my inquiry.

Solid neighborhood sportsbar/tavern in Multnomah Village. Nothing too out of the ordinary here… it’s a great place to grab a drink and some quality guilty pleasure bar food. One that stands out during my many trips to Jimmy’s is the speed, friendliness, and overall quality of the bartenders/servers. No apathy, surliness, or lethargic coolness… they work hard to make sure you get what you want as fast as possible. The place already got pretty packed for NFL Sundays, but should be an even better place to catch a game with their new projector and huge projection screen on the wall.

Food is ok, coffee is ok, just a regular neighborhood bar. Today(on a Saturday, at lunch, 2 people playing keno in the entire bar), a bartender served me without asking for an ID, then a friend who’s older than me, clearly over 21 and showing no intention of drinking — just lunch — tried to join me, but didn’t have her ID on her, and the bartender threw her out. So keep in mind that the staff is inconsistent and rude.
