Purchased a nice used refrigerator from the Tigard store on Thursday (¹²⁄₃) with a 6 month warranty on parts and labor. It was delivered and installed as planned on Saturday (¹²⁄₅). Delivery guys were nice and professional getting a large fridge through some tight gaps.
Unfortunately after it was installed, 24 hours later it still has not cooled appropriately (thermometer says 65 degrees). I know the fans and compressor are running and the condenser coils are free of dust build up.
Called Tigard store on Sunday (¹²⁄₆) to request service technician. Service technician (Robert) returned call Monday (¹²⁄₇) am to set up appointment for Thursday (¹²⁄₁₀) around noon, earliest available for my area.
UPDATE ¹²⁄₁₀ — Robert arrived as planned around noon on Thursday. He checked out the fridge and the freon was to low. He recharged the freon and it started to blow cold. Within the hour the fridge was at the correct temp. The freezer got down to temp a couple of hours later. As long as there isn’t a leak in the system it should be good to go for a while. Got 6 month warranty to wait it out.
UPDATE ¹²⁄₁₂ — water started dripping out of the ice/​water dispenser. Turns out the ice is melting and the freezer isn’t cold anymore, holding about 50 degrees. Called JB (manager) at the Tigard store about possibly returning and exchanging it. He’s going to talk to Robert about the fridge and get back to me.
UPDATE ¹²⁄₁₇ — so I’ve called the Tigard store on Monday and Tuesday to follow up since they weren’t calling me back. JB said he needed to get in touch with the owners to see what he could do. Apparently the owners are very difficult to get a hold of. On Tuesday JB suggested I call the Portland store since doing an exchange would be difficult, not to mention I don’t trust the products that they are selling. Called Portland store Wednesday and Thursday morning. They kept wanting to send the repair guy out, not understanding that we’ve already gone that route and the fridge still doesn’t work. Left a message for George to call back. Last chance…
…well they finally agreed to a full refund. Ended with having to go to the Portland store to pick up the check since they didn’t send out the delivery guy with the check over the weekend. So at least I have my money back, now just waiting for them to pick up the fridge.

Updating two years later. This was the best $ 300 we ever spent on a washer. It is STILL running like a champ. We will definitely buy here again. Check this place out. We would have spent way more money to get a new washing machine and our last one (new) one only lasted about three years before it went out. It’s a no-​brainer to buy a refurbished machine. You would probably spend more just getting yours fixed!

Bought a washer and dryer a while ago and still run like a champ.
It was easy to find what I wanted and easier to set an appointment for delivery. Delivery crew carried the set upstairs and hooked up/​tested the machine before they left. Looking forwarding for my next purchase.

Just bought another appliance (refrigerator) from Kaady’s and we had the same great experience — big selection, great service by Rami, and on-​time delivery by Tanner and crew.
The dryer we bought previously is running like a champ, and the first thing Tanner asked when he arrived was about the dryer and how it was working for us.
No complaints whatsoever here.

We have been getting our appliances (washers, dryers, & refrigerators) at Kaady’s for years (maybe 20+). We have been buying mostly at the SW store, but the last time in August 2014 was at the Halsey store. We like the variety to choose from, the prices, and have never had any difficulty with delivery or service. Next, we’d like to trade our glass-​top stove for a gas stove and we will be going back to Kaady’s. Thanks Kaady’s!

I own rentals and have worked with Kaadys for 10 years. They have alway given me excellent service, and used appliances. MY most recent purchase of a dishwasher was alittle delay in getting repaired, but when it didnt work more than a few days, following, I called and they replaced and installed a different on within a few days. Thats why I stay with them. Always love talking to

Wow — I was a totally satisfied customer of a Kirkland Signature washer/​dryer set — sales guy was terrific, delivery guys arrived on day and general time scheduled, were really professional and set the machines up perfectly. I would’ve given them 5+ stars.
Today? Zero stars if it was possible, and I say AVOID this business.
29 days after delivery, last night, the washer stopped in the middle of the cycle, full of water and clothing. It will not drain and will not re-​start. I called them first thing this morning.
Had a fairly quick callback from a «Michael,» who told me he was the only repairman for the business and that he had 15 repair orders to do before mine, so he would come to repair my machine «in a week or so.»
I explained that a week until repair was not feasible/​reasonable, re-​iterated that my washer died in mid-​cycle and is full of water (and soggy clothing). I said at least three times that I realized it wasn’t his fault that he’s the only repairman and there are so many repairs, but this was a rather dire situations & could he (the sole repairman) come sooner, or should I get my own repair guy and then bill Kaady? The conversation degenerated into shouting, and he yelled at me that they’d just send me a refund. Well, that doesn’t help me with my problem of a broken, water-​filled washer… and the fact that I would then have to go out and shop for a new washing machine and then get someone to take this one away — i.e. a ***totally unreasonable*** way to deal with a broken washing machine UNDER WARRANTY.
So, I called Riad (sp?), at the Portland location, who had told me at the time of my purchase that he was the owner of this business. Today I asked again to confirm that he was the owner, and he said yes. He walked me through a quick repair of the lid switch, which did nothing, and then said it’s something else that they have to repair in-​person. He said he’d have someone call me later in the day and «get someone out there to repair it.»
It’s now 7pm, after close of the business day, and I have not heard a peep from Riad, nor anyone related to Kaady.
Now that I see the Unilocal reviews, I see that some guy named «Michael» is purporting to be the owner on here, and replying to peoples’ complaints by talking about the different repair people he’s sent out to various customers.
So – who owns this business? Is there really only one repairman, named «Michael» to service everything, as one «Michael» told me today? Do they really leave customers with broken-​down washing machines that are full of water and in mid-​cycle, for a week?!!
Who knows — all I know is this is appalling customer service.
I suggest absolutely avoiding this place until they get their act together again. The warranties don’t matter if they don’t repair in a timely manner, and cannot help customers whose machines break down in the worst moment. You don’t want to be in this situation, I promise you.

We purchased a used washer/​dryer set and oven from Kaady Appliances. Not only were the prices (especially including delivery) reasonable, but the warranty was great. Our washer wasn’t draining properly and they sent someone the very next day to fix it. They had it fixed promptly and it works great!

I called the store on Highway 99 looking for a refurbished electric range. Wow that store did not have what I was looking for, they promptly called the east side store and put me in contact with George. Within a couple moments of speaking with George, I had colored photographs emailed to me for the inventory they had in stock that corresponded with my budget. I drove down to meet George and he showed me his inventory. There was nothing I actually fell in love with for their we furbished inventory. However, George showed me what was in back if it still needed to be cleaned up and refurbished before resale. I looked at this very dingy white electric range with ceramic glass top. It was hard to imagine that he could have that thing cleaned up, furbished and looking great for delivery two days after. George did exactly what he said. I was very particular about a date and time for delivery. They called to reschedule a few days later. But, when I put my foot down, they truly accommodated our original agreement on delivery. The range showed up on time with two very nice delivery guys. It was immaculate and has met my expectations specifically for my budget. Thanks Kaady. I will definitely recommend!

This place is horrendous. The employee was unprofessional and rude, I would NEVER purchase anything here!

Thumbs up! Returning customer. Solid used AND WARRANTIED appliances. Friendly staff. Willing to work with budget and schedule for delivery. Even rescheduled delivery for free after first attempt failed due to my oversight.

Bought a new GE Stainless steel fridge. I compared prices and I found I saved more than $ 300 and it was delivered and installed for free with my old fridge put in the garage. Very nice service

Here’s an update of my more recent experience with Kaady.
First off, in response to Michael’s comment, the previous repairs were scheduled at 2 or 3 pm on three consecutive Friday afternoons in inner SE Portland. And I’m pretty sure the stove that stopped working was originally purchased at Kaady but maybe no longer under warranty. If we are not a priority then don’t keep promising to fix our range.
After the flakey repairmen wasted our time for a month, another company diagnosed the problem over the phone and said it would be too expensive to fix it so just find a new range. So guess where our landlord goes for the ‘new’ gas stove? Back to Kaady.
When they delivered it, none of the guys could install it for us cuz they weren’t trained to hook up gas stoves or something. ?? Apparently that is not an included service with your gas range purchase and delivery. So my husband tries to hook it up himself, and we ended up with a massive gas leak while gone for the day.
Around the same time, Michael reached out to me to because of my previous review and asked how he could make things right so I said how about coming back and properly installing this gas range my landlord just bought from you? He agreed and we scheduled a time for a couple days out. I called same day to confirm as I had to leave work early again, he said he’d check with the repairman and call me back. And once again, no call, no show. Really?! The repairman finally managed to make it to my house and properly hook up the gas line the next afternoon but the guy only had one wrench and no thread paste goop so I had to lend him mine…
So Kaady gets another star for trying to make things right, but not much more than that since it took FIVE tries for them to actually show up when promised. And the whole thing took over 2 months to sort out, leaving me without a working oven. So unfortunately I’m still not impressed.

Since My last Posting I was contacted by the Owner of Kaddy’s and he went above and beyond to fix the problem. It took a letter from the BBB but Mike at Kaddy’s was a Stand Up Guy and corrected the problem.

This place should be re-​named SHADY’s as they lie and cheat their customers and dont address customer warranty issues.
In March of 2013 I purchased a reconditioned LG Front Load whashing washer.
After two months of normal service the maching quit working.
The machine came with a 6 month warranty. When I called Abe Kaddy twice to request service he gave me the runaround and promised to call back twice.
Well that never happened. My next course of action is to file a complaint with BBB (which claims they have an A+ record.) HMMM. The Oregon Dept of Justice and Small Claims Court. And if that doesnt work
I will picket outside of their stores. The Tried to screw the wrong person.

My husband and I needed a new refrigerator for our new home and went to kaady. We picked out the one we wanted and was very happy they give a 6 month warranty. Unfortunately we needed it because it started warming up within a few weeks. They exchanged it after trying to repair it to no avail, unfortunately the new one had problems as well. We called and they are now giving us a brand new floor model! Although its been a pain, they have been very good to us to make things right. Because of their great customer service, I will be back if I need another used appliance in the future for sure!

Wow, talk about a semi — really bad experience. We ordered a washer and dryer. The washer did not make it through the first load. A piece had fallen out preventing it to spin (minor). So it stopped before the rinse cycle leaving a full load of laundry that I had to ring out and set aside. Fortunately, the manager worked really hard to get someone to offer a replacement and they came that day. HOWEVER, when I rewashed those clothes and put them in the dryer, they only made it through 30 minutes when the dryer just stopped working! We called them and the maintenance guy came out — about 20 minutes after the call. Turns out it was just a power issue and not an issue with the dryer. We originally posted a bad review, but they really pulled through and made sure we were confident with the purchase. I’m still a little worrysome, but that’s what you get when you buy something used. I may add more if they do indeed work for the next couple of months.

I bought a washer/​dryer, a fridge and a dishwasher from this company. The fridge needed a part and they promised they would order it and send someone out to fix it when it arrived. Don’t believe them if they tell you this. They won’t return my calls and keep giving me the run around. They also promised to pick up my old washer/​dryer and have yet to return my call to schedule it, and keep telling me they will put me on the schedule, but never do.
I have called 3 times and went in person to try to get this resolved. They keep telling me they will call me back ASAP, but NEVER have. My Fridge is still broken and the old washer/​dryer still sitting in the garage. I am not impressed with their customer service after you buy items.

I paid a fair price on the freezer I bought. It came with a 6 months of free service. The freezer stopped working on the 5^th month. Scheduling the time to get the unit fixed was a nightmare. It took 3 appointments for them to actually show up. Of course by then it was past the 6 months and the repair guy tried telling me I was going to have to pay for it out of my own pocket. They eventually fixed it for free. Save yourself the headache and pay a little more elsewhere. Not worth the savings you get.

All I wanted was a simple phone call for a schedule. I can’t blame the fringe-​workforce-​mentality of the delivery guys. I fault the owner for this kind of behavior. I call to get an estimated delivery time. Was told the driver would call me back. Well that is too difficult. Keep in mind, I am a tenant and the white-​devil is doing business with Kaady’s. Landlords love them, their tenants do not. Already read several non-​yelp reviews had the same issues. So. If you’re a tight wad and doesn’t mind the questionable-​quality product, installers ogling your wife or you’re a slum lord who only wants the worst for his property, and tenants this place is for you.
