One word, Bulgogi Cheesesteak! I enjoyed this place a lot. It’s fusiony, of course. Take a regular dish, replace the original meat with bulgogi or kimchi or something and boom. That being said, I totally enjoyed my meal. The portion was big and the cost was reasonable. Staff was friendly, place was clean, wifi good. I would recommend stopping there for a quick and tasty lunch.

Yum yum! Not quite as memorizing as I remember when ordering the food drunk at the cart by pge park years and years ago. But still good. The same great menu with a couple additions like the rice bowl and rueben sandwich and now burgers and even nachos. I like the original burritos, quesadilla, and tacos. I always order the kim chi quesadilla with added short ribs, dipped in sour cream it’s still good! I also enjoy the burrito with bulgogi beef. Now if only they would fusion up something like mexican meats in korean dishes ie, al pastor kim chi pancakes… mmmmMmm. new cart idea? Somebody take it and roll. but please credit Me :) Bonus: punch cards for the frequent eater! Also mango ketchup and other salsas free to diners.

Asian fusion rarely impresses me, and this place was not one of the exceptions. They call it Korean and Mexican fusion here, but really it’s just«Korean-style meat» in place of the typical meats you find at any taco stand. The problem is that the substituted meat doesn’t stand out at all. When I ate it, the meat didn’t taste like Korean barbecue(unless Portlanders have some really low standards for that), it just felt like dried up meat with no flavor. Maybe they shouldn’t leave the meat sitting around forever before serving it. If you’re gonna change up the ingredients to the typical taco, those new ingredients better be the focal point of the dish.

Okay, do NOT get your hopes up when you read Mexican and Korean fusion– it is just mexican food with korean bbq substituting the other meat. With that being said, I still loved it. I don’t think there was cheese in the items either… It is extremely cheap for the amount of food you get. SO yay for that. The employees are also extremely nice and amiable. Will be back(with my boyfriend– he’d love it…)

This is delicious — the service is fast — I love that they have a brick-and-mortar restaurant now. Definitely stop in for the best Bulgogi burrito you’ll ever have.

I’m a huge fan of Korean food, it’s one of those type of dishes that I can if given an opportunity will eat everyday! Korean Spicy Pork & Bulgogi could might as well be a first and middle name lol. Anyways, I’ve been going to Koi since they started as a food truck, however I have to say, I do actually prefer their brick and mortar location location. A. I can walk to this location and they are open pretty late. So when you need a good source of protein/carbs after a late workout, it’s nice to know that Koi is there for you! B. I’m not sure if I’m the only one who pays attention to this, but well I do. Their prices here is a tad less compare to the carts? Not sure why? I got a rice bowl yesterday from the cart and I paid $ 9 while I was just at this location the night before and paid $ 7.75? Yeah, I’m confused too. Well, anyways. This place is solid, always delivers, food is good and I had always received great customer service. It wont give you that crazy«holy smokes, wow factor» you’re looking for, but this to me is my comfort food So when the crazy«rain-a-thon» comes back to Portland, this sure will hit the spot!

Not impressed. Had the Kim chi fried rice and it was crunchy, as in yesterday’s fried rice they tried to reheat and serve. The flavors are ok together. Probably will not be going back.

Fed the whole family for the same as it would have cost for fast food. Great food and they serve beer to boot(happy hour:3−6)

From my understanding this place started off as a truck and now has a permanent place on Division, so you already know it’s gonna be good. I would compare this to a Korean Chipotle. If you’re a fan of Chipotle, same concept but with Korean food. I like Chipotle, and I like Korean food, so it was awesome! Yes, it’s not going to be authentic Korean style food, its fusion! You have a choice of getting tacos, burritos, sliders, or a rice bowl with your choice of meat. Then the fun part, choosing your insides, bulgogi beef, chicken, pork, kalbi short ribs, and spicy tofu, all delicious but I recommend the beef bulogogi. You can also add the extra stuff like cheese and sour cream. I tried the tacos with a variety of the meats and they were all hit in my book! Great food on the go! Portland, you’re lucky to have this accessible and even more locations to come.

I was very disappointed to admit that the low Unilocal stars proved to be true. Went in around 8 pm on a Monday. The food holder apparently went out so the guy working there decided to warm up meats on the grill, but that was the only thing besides the tortilla that was warm. We ordered a few different types of burritos and tacos but we were all sadly disappointed that it didn’t hold up true to our expectations of a ‘regular’ koi fusion burrito. The employee didn’t look happy to be there and didn’t seem pleased that other people who were coming in wanted to order as well. I honestly regretted my decision at that moment to try the shop out. Koi Fusion has always been my favorite Korean fusion place to get a burrito and I still believe it is but next time you’re having the craving, skip the shop and go in search of the food trucks instead.

Just tried the k-dog with pork and the burrito with bulggogi(spelling?) and both were amazing. I love sautéed kimchi and all of the fresh flavors packed into each bite. The blueberry kombucha was also fabulous!!!

I have always thought KOI Fusion was just alright – I have eaten at their food truck, kiosk at Bridgeport Village, and now their storefront on Division Street. The concept of Korean tacos, burritos, and bowl is a fun twist but it’s overdone. Their menu items don’t change. Change it up! You need something new like, I don’t know… fried kim-chee rice balls? I like that this KOI Fusion location is similar to Chipotle where its allows you customize your toppings. Normally, I’m a fan of short ribs but their bulgogi marinade is far better than their kalbi marinade – the kalbi has good flavoring yet a little too sweet for my taste. I feel that the price is a little steep for something I could make myself. I guess you pay for the convenience of not having to make it yourself. I would still eat here but not mind-blowing good.

We went looking for the Koi food cart but found of all things, a brick and mortar building! The food was exactly as I hoped, interesting, well done, tasty, and CHEAP! Bulgogi Tacos and a Quesadilla with Kim Chee, a couple of beers… just great! Could not be much more happy with things! Go give it a try. A brick and mortar restaurant is not cheap and you should do everything you can to support a quality business like this!

I came here because Pok Pok was closed for labor day and this was the only place that was open around the time we were in the area. I got the short rib quesadilla and my boyfriend got a bulogigi burrito. Both were really good and reminded me of mogos. But i stopped eating at mogos 2 years ago so this was a nice find.

Nice open space. Not very busy, so I’m guess it’s new. I’m seeing a lot of Korean Tacos out here in Portland, but Kogi from LA still wins. Short rib is very sweet but flavorful. I don’t mind it at all.

If I had to pick one thing to live off of it would be koi fusion Bulgogi tacos with guacamole and cilantro sour cream. It all started at the truck but was happy to see them join there brother and sister restaurants on division. Nice open space, good beats, and great food that is outside the box :) A great extention of the pok pok tradition

4.5 out of 5* Originating from a mobile truck, Koi Fusion made me excited to visit the brick and mortar location. The food was great. We ordered two tacos with a side of kimchi, as well as the bulgogi rice dish. The food had amazing flavors and the quality was not too bad. The temperature that the food was served as was perfect! The location was convenient and had plenty of space to dine in and meet up with friends. I loved the fact that the place was very clean! It’s a huge plus in my book. Let’s not kid ourselves though, this food is expensive. Take into consideration that you’re basically eating from a food truck and you’ll see what I’m talking about. I don’t mind paying for good food but the portions they offered was on the smaller side. The bulgogi rice dish was almost $ 8 and it barely hit the spot. The two tacos, which were delicious btw, were over $ 2 a piece, when they are worth only about half that. Price is the only thing I would change about the tacos. Even though the side of kimchi was only $ 1, it should be included in the tacos as a complimentary option. The reason is because kimchi is as Korean as it gets. It’s like charging extra for(free) chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. Overall, it was good. I recommend this place to people who are sick of Chipotle and are craving Asian food(lol).

My friend had been raving about this place and insisted that I try it. I’m glad I did because it was really good. I believe the place started as a food truck and recently opened this place. I shared a rice bowl with kalbi and kimchi and I highly recommend it! The kalbi was juicy and moist and the kimchi was pretty spicy. Check this place out if you’re looking for something quick and delicious.
