Do you ever go to a department store, and kind of speed walk through because you don’t want to get sprayed with«eau de par-fumey» or have someone hit you with the latest blush color in «just kissed»? That’s me. But this past week, my sister and mom made an appointment for her to get a makeup consultation at the Lancome counter for her upcoming wedding so I had to be in the middle of it all for a good hour. These sort of consultations can go South real quick-like if you’re not careful, and you could walk out with a suitcase of makeup Bozo The Clown could envy. But on this day, we had the advantage of having Brittany do a masterful job of creating a look that my sister could love for her wedding day. Brittany asked my sister her thoughts on what she was looking for and did a masterful job blending and creating a natural look, but when my sister suggested things that she liked(i.e. purple liner) or asked for changes, Brittany was great at altering what she had done in a really tasteful, beautiful way. She was also very personable and fun to talk to during the experience explaining products and techniques in a way that wasn’t pitchy. And while we will be 3 hours out of Portland on the wedding day, she made a point of providing us with detailed notes on how to recreate the look… fingers crossed! I would definitely suggest if you’re looking to DIY your makeup, visit Brittany for a consultation or have her work her magic day-of! …and just a heads-up at this time there is a great free gift if you spend so much(which we definitely did)
