AVOID! Shady billing practices. Still waiting for «the check is in the mail» refund for over billing and charging «no show» fees for appointments that were cancelled well in advance.

Very disorganized, expensive and the PTs don’t use the time wisely. I was pressured into buying a TempurPedic pillow and could never get the receipt for my insurance. There was some trouble with the staff and I was personally insulted by one in particular although there were multiple complaints so she was fired. I tried to stick it out since I started there on an MVA but I will not be going back after I was erroneously sent a bill for 2600 because the was a documentation error!

Many choices for PT locally. Avoid Laurelhurst. I’ve had 4 or 5 sets of PT in the last 10 years, quality can be variable but Laurelhurst is by far the worst I have experienced.
My new Doctor referred me when I injured my neck in April 2011. Saw Suzanne Trebnick (co-​owner). Her manner is rather anxious which was off-​putting. Also disorganized and the half hour of time wasn’t well used. They seem keen to get you to buy stuff. $ 4 if I want a length of therapy band to take home, previous PT I’ve had you take home the length they cut for you during the appointment. I brought in the new memory foam pillow I had purchased to have them check out my alignment. She never was able to make the time to check it yet was able to make the time to walk to the supply closet, fetch the wedge type that they sell and tell me this is what I should buy. The PT assistant checked it during the second 30 minutes and said it was fine. Left with 2 simple exercises to perform @home, a bit unimpressed but willing to give them a second chance.
Second visit was a total disaster. She was late for appointment start, seemed very stressed and even more disorganized than first visit. My neck was no better and she decided it was all due to my pillow. Didn’t seem to believe word of her assistant who had checked it. There was a weird vibe between the owner and staff. Second half of appointment was again with a PT assistant, I was given no new exercises to perform at home and no indication as to whether I should continue exercises from first appointment. Nada. Since even my worst previous PT experience was way better than this, I decided to look elsewhere.
Switched to Providence. First visit, 1 hour appointment, organized, clear exercises to do (6), full range of motion and strength assessed in first visit, checked out my pillow, showed me how to roll the end of a standard pillow for support so I didn’t need to buy anything new. Night and day difference.
I had a $ 1500/​yr PT allowance from my insurance, so I called Laurelhurst to find out how much the initial two visits had used up. $ 575 plus my $ 60 copay. I was shocked. Called their office manager, told her I was unhappy and considering making complaint to my insurance regarding poor quality of service, she said she would discuss with PT/​owner, see if the disasterous second visit could be refunded and call me back. She never did. I called back twice, each time she was available until my name was relayed to her by the receptionist, at which point she «had left office» «was in a meeting». I was told to leave voice messages, which of course were never returned.
So basically I second the other review left here. Plenty of PT choices in town, no need to go here.

Evasive and unethical billing practices. Fear mongering on the part of one of the doctors, however the other is outstanding. The fact remains that the billing is not to be trusted and it would seem that they have overcharged me, not once but twice…
