The ladies at L’Occitane were helpful and friendly. My husband got me a gift card a few months ago and I finally got around to using it. They worked to find an ideal facial cleanser for me. I was able to take my time through the store without being pressured to buy. Overall, a fine and dandy experience.

I have been to this location a few times, I honestly do not understand why people say the customer service is terrible or they are pushing products on you. Let’s first start with the fact if you work in retail it’s your job to ask questions and to up sell. I have been to several locations on the east coast and the customer service is always fantastic. Yes they ask questions to find the right products for you and they recommend things for you. I personally love that. They have a great skin care line, probably one of the best I have ever used. It can get expensive but most of the bottles will last about six months or longer depending on what it is. The Divine collection is my favorite, I love how smooth my skin looks, I have had several people comment about my skin and what I use. The foaming face wash from the immortelle line is the best, I always had a issue with acne and since using this product it’s completely gone. They have a great line of shaving products for men that smells awesome. Try the beard oil if you ever get scratchy feeling it works. Also give the body washes a try, who doesn’t like using a great product that smells so good. Another thing to remember, if you go in with an attitude you probably will not get far, remember people who work in retail are people to. Kindness goes far and if you think they are pushy and don’t like being asked questions maybe you should shop online. The staff at this location are friendly and offer great customer service. Don’t forget to ask for samples if you are unsure if you will like the product, they also offer mini facials so you can test a full line of product. The location I use to visit in Delaware gave you a complementary glass of champagne during the facial.

Huge fan of the L’Occitane products! So happy to find out that they were in pioneer place. The products are amazing and organic. They use plant and flower extracts for all body and skincare products. The staff and management at this location are very knowledgable and helpful, so if your looking for a quality product backed by excellent customer service, this is the perfect place for you! Bonjour!

Oh-la-laa bonjour L’Occitane… Sniff, sniff, whiff, whiff, j’adore the fragrance of lavender. Fragrance is powerful in that it can provoke memories. The scent of lavender whisks me away, back to sunny, warm days in southern France… having a little picnic on the hood of the Citroën on the side of the road next to the blooming fields of lavender. What an awesome memory. What an awesome store. There are products galore all packed with the divine and relaxation inducing fragrance of lavender. Besides lavender, which is my favorite, you’ll discover they do carry several other delightful fragrances as well. You’ll find a great selection of bath products, lotions, perfumes, home fragrance/candles and a line of the same including shaving needs for men. I see in other folks reviews some complaints about poor service. I am here somewhat regularly and have only received good and pleasant customer service. If you haven’t been in to L’Occitane, or to southern France, do pop in and at least take a whiff. Review # 104 — PDXYelp 100 challenge

The customer services provided by this store just SUCKS! The staffs including the store manager will only be nice to you when you make purchase, and be rude to you if you ever go back to make returns. I made a few complaints to their store manager about the attitude of their staff was rude, and all she keep saying was«I’m sure it’s just some misunderstanding.» Well, I’m pretty sure no one misunderstand rudeness and unfriendly attitude. The store manager even told me that I’m a challenging customer, and I should shop online and not at their store because I’ve made three returns in this past year, and I complaint about the attitude of their staff. So, if this is the customer services you would like to get or support, you can shop at this location. Otherwise, if you have to use their product, I would suggest you to «shop online» like their store manager said.

Went in again for another free hand cream and found them even pushier than I remembered. Next time, I must remember free isn’t worth it. Items are marked high and sales staff seem to operate on commission. Sales staff pushed me toward a $ 108 moisturizer. My shampoo(purchased almost a year ago) just ran out but I felt no compelling desire to repurchase. It was something like $ 22 – 25 and wasn’t anything special. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t life changing. Pronounced: LOX-ee-tawn. L’occitane.

The only reason this review is not 1 star is that the L’Occitane products I have tried are by-in-large incredible. That said, as often as the products succeed, the service at this store fails. I was incorrectly and condescendingly ‘corrected’ by the sales person, and my honest questions were punished with snooty attitude. I’m from New England; I can cope with snootiness — but it’d better be backed up with great knowledge or service. Here I got neither, so I took my money elsewhere.

I’m a huge fan of this store and their line of products. I too have benefited from their Shea Butter hand cream for dry skin. It’s amazing. And when my mother wanted a rose scented, easy to apply skin cream for her very fragile skin, I searched 4 stores before finally making my way back to L’Occitane and again they came through for me with the perfect thing. Their helpful staff are always great too. It’s a joy to shop there. Sure, their products are on the spendy side, but they are such high quality and I find I use less then I would a cheaper product cause it goes much further.

L’Occitane, I find it to be a name that is hard to pronounce and makes me feel as though I’ve tried, yet failed to be, pretentiously sophisticated. Despite sporting a unique name, L’Occitane offers a variety of soaps, lotions, fragrances, hair care products, facial care products and a variety of stuff for men’s(my brother loves their shaving cream for his sensitive skin). But don’t be mistaking this for a Bath & Body works… this is very high quality stuff that has subtle and more sophisticated scents. They attempt to make their stores feel like local stores plucked from the French countryside and they succeed with their sweet décor and top-notch products. They are known for their line of products with«shea butter» in them — and I’m addicted. The hand cream is the best I’ve tried and they even sell it in a cute little size for people like me who just NEED to have hand cream handy in a pocket or purse in the winter. Their foot lotion(with lavender) makes you feel heavenly and their candles are sublime. If you sign up to get email notices, you’ll be made aware of all the sales and hopefully you can catch the stuff at a cheaper price. After all, the only downside to L’Occitane is that the more products I try, the more products I become addicted to – and these are not inexpensive products. Now, if only I could sound cool and oh-so-French as I try to tell people about this place… I think my «lox-ee-tan» pronunciation just might need some help!
