I first visited Lodekka when it was parked in NE Portland but am glad it’s now located in SE, at the Tidbit food carts on Division Street, much closer to where I live. For those who’ve never been, Lodekka is a vintage clothing shop in a double-decker bus. While many people stop by while waiting for their food to be made at one of the carts, the store is worth seeking out on its own. Here are five things you should know if you’re thinking about shopping there: 1. I think the official name is Lodekka Double Decker Dress Shop, but there’s a whole lot more than dresses! I’ve seen the cutest pencil skirts, cutoff shorts and more. I also bought one of my favorite pairs of sunglasses here. There’s a bit of everything, whether you’re looking for vintage clothes, locally made items such as belts or even Pyrex bakeware. 2. It’s not just women’s clothing. There’s plenty for men, too! 3. It may be a bus, but don’t worry, there’s a dressing room. 4. Prices are surprisingly low for the quality of the items. The sunglasses I bought were less than $ 10. 5. The owner, Nicole, has a great sense of style, and the clothing she carries is always on trend. If you want something unique and vintage that will make you feel super fly, chances are good you’ll find it here.
