Sellwood is known for it’s antique shops that settle in every price range. But, most people are unaware that Love Art is representing affordable local art in Sellwood too!
Love Art offers everything from large sculpture or handmade furniture pieces to small cards and unique trinkets ranging from less than $ 10 to well you know, expensive.
The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. It’s a great place that highlights several Portland artists on a rotating basis and is always full of fun and interesting things to check out.
As we enter into the Holiday Season, Love Art is a great option to perk up your gift giving options with the amazing wares from the hands of the local Portland talent!

What a sweet art/​craft gallery right there on 13^th for the world to see. It’s got huge and fantastic metal sculptures right outside the house. Once you step inside it’s just full of stained glass, paintings, jewelry, and all the wonderful creations done by some fabulous local artists.
The couple that owns the gallery are warm, friendly and easy to talk to. No pretense here at all.

Tucked into a quaint house on Milwaukie Avve, Love Art! Gallery is a dream for anyone wanting a special housewarming gift or new, homemade addition to their home. From stained glass wall hangings to whimsical metal animal structures, photographs, paintings, and jewelry, you’ll be amazed by how many beautiful things are housed in one place!
Everything is from local artists, which fits nicely with Portland’s focus on supporting local vendors, and finding something you’ll love won’t be a problem as there is so much beauty to choose from!
Every time I’ve been in, the staff is very friendly, and I leave feeling inspired.

Perfectly Portland, that’s what Love Art! Gallery is, perfectly Portland.
Affordable, handmade, art abounds both inside and out. If you’ve ever walked, rode your bike, or drove by this place you’ve surely noticed the large sculptures outside and thought to yourself, oh, I should go there some time. I know I have.
So today, as I strolled up and down SE 13^th just north of Tacoma, I did just that. I’m sure that any gift I ever want to give, could be found here, and for a reasonable price.
The owners search for artists that create good quality and sell for good prices.
Today was an especially great day because they have lots of outdoor moving sculptures beginning around $ 100, and there was just enough of a breeze to keep them all gently spinning. I know I wanted to buy at least three, one for me, one for my sister and her family, and one for my folks!
While I was there, a customer was selecting light weight metal sculptures with her toddler in a stroller, they took home a lovely 2 ft turtle that lay on the ground (or was it a lizard?) and a 4ft tall free standing heart for her garden.
I highly recommend this as a place not to missed next time you are in this hood.

I want to buy everything here!!! Something for everyone, sculptures, glasswork, jewelry, paintings, garden pieces from local artists. My favorite was the mosaic bust lantern. Beautiful!
This place is definitely affordable and I could envision most of the pieces in my home. The employees are friendly and helpful.
Housed in a warm little house with children and dogs afoot, this is a true Portland experience. Worth checking out! Especially if you are in need of a great and unique gift!

Fabulous shop that showcases some amazing artists’ work. The owners are personable and knowledgeable about their stuff. Wonderful place to go browse!

I went to shop on its 1 year anniversary. I met local artists there like Barbara Paanakker who is an amazing artist. Great little shop with many different types of art. Highly recommended.

This little shop is awesome! Everything made by local artists and very unique. The sculptures out front made from all kinds of things were super neat, but I have no idea how anyone would be able to take one home with them :)
The couple running the store had one of their little helpers with them still in her PJ’s. I was a bit jealous, I wish i had been the child of some art loving store owners when I was 1. Too awesome.
Lots of gifts, art, cards, paintings, pillows, stained glass, fused glass, jewelry. If you can’t find something here you absolutely love, you’re a total stick in the mud.

When keeping things local and wanting to purchase some good, but affordable local art, you really want to consider this place! Out front they have metal sculptures made from recycled material. I think one of the birds was made from an old Chevy truck.
All of the pieces inside would be welcome in my home, well not some of the jewlery and such, but all is made by local artists, and the prices are fantastic, especially when your not in the mood to deal with Saturday Market.
They have coasters…20 for a set of 4. Stepping Stones, stained glass, paintings, greeting cards, the list goes on. Who I am assuming was the owner of the shop was quite friendly and non pushy, which I love when I am window shopping. It leaves an impression on me, and the attention to small details makes my spending options clearer.
