Lucky Spoon is great! I could eat ice cream every day, but this is the perfect alternative. The Only 8 line with merely 8 cals a serving is damn tasty; you’d never guess you’re eating ‘healthy’. + They’re open till 11pm. + It’s affordable. + All the toppings you could need. + Clean and posh spot.

Looks very nice and in a great location, but I got the worst food poisoning ever after eating here. I haven’t ate or craved yogurt since.

Looking for quality yogurt and a comfortable environment? Then you’re SOL at LS. I had been to Lucky Spoon once before, a while ago, but couldn’t remember what the fro-yo was like — I only remembered a part-time employee who also played house music part-time. And so having just come from a couple of art openings, and one design show, I was feeling inspired to try Lucky Spoon again. The flavor selection, however, was pretty weak, but fortunately they at least had my go-to flavor– the Original Tart(non-fat), even if it was pretty icy. And perhaps it was the free champagne, wine and beer from earlier, or perhaps it was the energy of being with five close friends, but that night I had decided to put granola and blueberries on my tart yogurt(when typically I don’t deviate from my strawberries and semi-sweet chocolate chips combo). Everyone except for one other friend got fro-yo, and we were all just relaxing and hanging out and enjoying our fro-yo as good friends do together. HOWEVER, I had to interrupt this good time to alert my friends that there was, in fact, a fly in MY yogurt — me, the vegetarian. This was completely disappointing, yet I still continued to eat around the infested area. But still worse yet, it was 9:57 pm(the store officially closes at 10:00 pm), and the employees started to kick all of the customers out — before they had finished their yogurt! Let me just say, I have worked in the ice cream biz(still not fro-yo, I know), and it is just plain courtesy to let the customers finish their dairy or non-dairy treats. Sorry Lucky Spoon, but that was JUSTPLAINRUDE. That being said, as the employees were kicking us out and cleaning up shop, I did manage to snag a handful of Peanut M&M’s to share with my friends. As if this wasn’t already implied, I will NOT be returning to Lucky Spoon.

The closest to Pinkberry I’ve found since leaving LA! I love Lucky Spoon! The original tart is really good, I like to get half tart and half Berry sorbet. The blueberries are big and the gummy bears are small! My favorites!

I don’t want to rant about how I wish there were more organic froyo options and how this isn’t one of them and blah blah blah I want my berries pesticide free… so I’ll keep it short(ish). This is your average froyo spot. The frozen yogurt here(original tart, my usual choice anywhere) isn’t the creamiest or the tastiest, but it totally does in a pinch. Some fruit is fresh, some is canned and disappointing. They have the colorful flavored mochi here. I wish they had the plain white ones, but oh well. I don’t eat any other candy with my froyo, so not sure about that selection… it looked pretty standard, at a glance. The shop is clean and bright, like most froyo shops. Service is very friendly, so that bumps them up a star! Conveniently located in the Ladd apartment building, their prices are on par with most froyo shops. Last time I stopped in, I got one flavor and a few fruit toppings(strawberries here are huge) and despite the heavy fruit, my total was less than $ 3. Don’t let the gargantuan cups trick you into dispensing more yogurt/toppings than you need!

We stopped in recently after a trip to the art gallery. Lots of great flavor options which rotate daily. We both like the«light» flavors at all of these self-serve places and Lucky Spoon usually had 4 flavors that are 8 calories per ounce. Some have been hit and miss so I recommend sampling before committing to a flavor. Not one but TWO toppings bars! Huzzah! Ample seating inside, limited directly outside the store. I recommend walking across the street and enjoying your bucket of yogurt(they have rather large«cups» here) under the shade of the Park Block trees. Gotta say, I am looking forward to visiting the Art Museum more often now!

Pretty good fro-yo in downtown portland, topping were decent, the fro-yo was average, I’ve had much better fro-yo in Urbana Champaign! Coco-mero has probably spoilt me!

A friend introduced me to Lucky Spoon and has henceforth turned me into a ‘self-served snob.’ There flavors change frequently, staff is always polite and sincere. Oh, and their yogurt is the tastiest of tastes. Variety is always present, whether you’re looking for straight up chocolate or feeling a little fruity, they got you. Plus, my most favorite part is that they serve cones and the majority of the time the cones don’t leak. C’mon, no one likes a leaky cone. It’s a great day date. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying grabbing some Lucky Spoon this summer and sitting across the block with good ol’ Teddy Roosevelt. If he weren’t a statue, I’m pretty sure he’d want to eat at Lucky Spoon too.

Being spoiled with Pinkbery coming from LA this place was complete disappointment. The yogurt came out almost melted and consistency was equal to cottage cheese. Fruit flies everywhere employee not very motivated !!! 2 starts is being nice

Because there’s no better way to end a nice, sunny day… Now that spring is here and Oregon has remembered that it, too, is allowed to be sunny every once in a while, I will be frequenting this establishment very frequently. I’ve been going here since I moved downtown a few years ago, and I’ve enjoyed it the whole time. I come here with my staff, I drag my boyfriend here over the weekend, and I have been known to go twice in one day. Sorry I’m not sorry, waistline. Actually, if you love frozen yogurt and are worried about your waistline, this is the perfect place for you to go. There are always two flavors that are only eight calories per ounce. So, for four ounce serving, you’re looking at about 32 calories. Awesome! Also, you’re never short on fresh fruit(which is actually fresh). They don’t have nearly the selection of toppings that other downtown yogurt shops, but they more than make up for it in the quality of their product and the cleanliness of their location. This is hands down my favorite froyo place in Portland. Viva Lucky Spoon!

I discovered Lucky Spoon from a coworker. I work about 5 blocks away and the location is a convenient spot for a break from work or near by PSU. I have been to a similar type of establishment in South Beaverton and, considering LS is in downtown, the prices are fantastic and the variety of toppings can’t be beat(fruity pebbles!!). Yesterday I sought out Lucky Spoon for a much needed afternoon break. I elected to go off my normal chocolate or vanilla and get the salted caramel. Oh. My. YUM. Coupled with a chunk of pound cake, a sprinkle of Captain Crunch cereal, a piece of chocolate chip cookie and, my personal fav, chopped Heath Bar I got the afternoon pick me up I needed(read: good sugar rush :)) all for less than $ 3. Check their FB page for double punch days and updates on their flavor offerings.

Typical frozen yogurt. Self serve by the ounce(44cents/oz). Great flavors and option of toppings. I kinda debating within 4 stars or 5. Overall a good solid 4. The place is nice, clean, spacious, and has free wifi!

Lucky Spoon is close to my work and helps cure the sweet tooth that plagues me in the afternoons. They are about the same, compared to other places I have tried and offer a variety of yogurts and toppings. I don’t think there is a bad frozen yogurt place. As long as there is one close to where I am at then I am happy!

Three words: snickerdoodle frozen yogurt. Are you kidding me?!!% So awesome. Some other words: This place is nice, clean — staff is friendly enough(check in through Unilocal and receive 10% off your purchase!) Lots of frozen yogurt options but you have to ask for the sample cups. Toppings out all looked fresh — nothing worse than seeing some sad old strawberries sitting there. Whipped cream is available ‘upon request’ — what’s up with that? Why not just put it out? I don’t get it, but hey — some people are weird about their cream I guess. … But hey. YUM. Good times. Who doesn’t love a good froyo(/frogurt?)

This place is amazing. They have many revolving choices of froyo and most importantly, ALL of the toppings are extremely fresh. I’ve been to plenty of froyo places with stale toppings, yuck! They’re active on their FB and the ladies who are always there when I go in are so sweet! Go Lucky Spoon!

Love this place. Can’t stress it enough – it’s locally owned, and when you give them feedback, they listen! I just read the review about them not having mochi, and I remember the last time I went, I saw the mochi topping and thought to myself«Who on earth would want mochi on their froyo???» Well, apparently they made it available to those who want it! They have great flavors – red velvet and cake batter being some of my favorite. And they have a ton of different toppings. I love that they keep their Facebook page updated with the flavors on tap, and that they offer double punch days. In fact, on my next break from work(in about 15 minutes), you can bet I’ll be there serving myself up some red velvet froyo! P. S. They are also open late, so you can get your late night froyo on too!
