Luke Dowling, Psy.D

Luke is an excellent therapist! As a fellow counselor I often refer people to Luke and only ever hear good things from his clients. He is patient, wise and has an excellent sense of humor. I think one of Luke’s strongest qualities is his ability to help his clients build confidence, feel understood and experience true empathy and support from another human being.

Individual therapy with Luke has been such an incredible source of support in my life most especially with my emotional recovery.
As a woman and trauma survivor, safety is crucial for me and he provides not only an atmosphere together where I can let-​go, but also one where my emotional and physical needs are respected. I am able to share my experiences and process with him in a way that I have never been able to before in another counseling session.
He is always able to meet me on my path, wherever I am, with compassion, gentle guidance, lightheartedness, sincere empathy, practical suggestions and intuitive insight. When he holds space for me, he listens to my every concern and can also keep me focused — which is a phenomenal skill. I know that the time that we spend in session together is my time and that he is without any other agenda. I leave each session feeling honored and ready to meet my authentic self again. I trust that he is approaching my care with ultimate professionalism and human connection.
Luke has given me a sense of complete relief. Because of the manner in which he practices and also the comfort that I have being in therapy with him, I am making enormous progress. He really has a wealth of experience in counseling, total awareness of the human condition and our ability to heal. I can’t thank him enough for what he has given me.
From personal experience, I recommend Luke for absolutely any support or need that a person could expect to receive from therapy. He is a full spectrum therapist and an incredible person.
