My first time visiting this quaint restaurant off of Mississippi ave, being a trendy area this restaurant fits right in. Obviously if your going to this place your going to get mac and cheese though they do have some burgers, sandwiches and few other items the mac is what our party went for. I probably would not have visited this establishment if it was not for my nephew whom loves mac and cheese, that’s all he orders at restaurants. I ordered the cheese burger mac and cheese and I was happy, everyone seemed pleased with there food and the younger kids liked it better than Kraft! I was very hungry and even though I had ¾ of my wife’s salad and an order of cheese balls which seemed to be a hit with our party of 8, I only got a half of 1, so order enough for everyone to try at least 1, but I was still hungry. Yes I can eat a lot but to me mac and cheese is a side dish, I easily could of over eaten and had 2 full meals. Taste was decent however, but if you have very little skill you could make this at home and get a larger portion, again I’m an over eater. It’s different it’s kind of fun and the flavor is alright, would I go back? … I guess if I had a reason like a child or something I might. OK maybe if I was in the area for lunch I may try it again but it’s still just a side dish for me! .

While doing laundry down the street I decided to give this place a try. First impression, not very busy for a Sunday afternoon. They do seem to have quite a few options for your mac and cheese choosing, as well as a decent selection of hard alcohols. I ordered the gluten free caprese mac and cheese to go. After waiting about ten minutes for it, I was somewhat shocked at the size… kind of on the small side for the cost. It’s ok tasting, not anything to really talk about. Frankly, I probably won’t be coming back.

I had a pretty good experience here. I had the chicken Parmesan mac, which was pretty good. It seems a little expensive for one meal, and not enough food. Additionally, a friend of mine had complained that their food was too cold, but my meal was okay.

I want to give 3.5 stars, but up to 4 for a great customer services. I ordered original Mac and cheese and pulled pork sandwich with macaroni salad to take out. The Mac and cheese was somewhat dry, could use more sauce and portion was slightly small. The pulled pork sandwich was good, plenty of meat, sweet BBQ sauce, and coleslaw topping. Maybe they taste better if I dine in instead of take out.

The Mac! has delicious Mac and Cheese. I just wished for the price the portion was a little bit larger, but I’m probably just a fatty! I ordered the four cheese with two eggs on top. mmm Simple interior with tables and cool old school metal lunch boxes decorating the walls!

I can’t believe it has taken me so long to come here! Shame on me for not knowing it existed but thank you to the Travel Channel who showcased this spot on a nationwide MnC tour! We went the other day for HH mac before heading down the street for trivia. I ordered a portion of the 4-cheese as well as the fried mac balls. My husband(AKA the weirdo who doesn’t like cheese) tried ordering the pulled pork but unfortunately they were out. He settled on a salad and lots of beer to tide him over. My meal was so cheesy, ooey, gooey great! I typically am not a fan of breadcrumbs on my mac but this was done in a not so obtrusive way. Each mac dish during HH was $ 4-$ 4.5, and the mac balls were 5 for $ 4 too. Not bad when the normal dishes are right around double that. Note: you must purchase a drink for hh food prices. I liked the bright atmosphere but unfortunately it was pretty empty. Our voices carried a bit and I felt bad for the worker who was inadvertently eavesdropping but was trying to be polite and not do so! :) It’s a bit of a drive for us, but I’ll be back!

One word: Cheese. If you love cheese, clearly this is the place to go. Their happy hour was worth it. I had the 4 cheese Mac on happy hour for $ 4, and an IPA on tap. The cheesy goodness was so good, with crumbles on top to make it that much better. I came here a few years ago and I don’t remember it being that good, but you need to check this place out #1 if you love cheese. And #2 if you’re on Mississippi. It was pretty dead at happy hour on a week night which was nice. The service was also quick.

We have been going here now and again with the kids since Mac opened but our recent trip was very disappointing. Two of our meals were cold, they didn’t have one of our kids meal choices(but didn’t know till after we ordered and paid), and the service wasn’t great either. Unfortunately we were disappointed enough we won’t be going back.

This poor place sucks so bad. *insert face-palm* I have never walked into a place and wanted to leave before getting the food. Then the food came and I wished I would have gone with my instinct. The sad guy working the front was so uncomfortably awful at social interactions. It doesn’t seem like they train staff or hold them accountable for working in a front of house environment. I thought this was going to be a fun family type place. But I couldn’t imagine families with kids coming in here. Speaking of kids, isn’t Mac n cheese the first thing you learn how to cook as a kid? How do you mess up Mac n cheese? Especially when it’s in the name of your business? Dry. Bland. Old. Cheap. Nasty. These are all wonderful descriptive words of what you will be spending money on tasting here. This place is such a train wreck I am judging anyone that gave out 2 or more stars. Please hire someone to redo your menu and execute the recipes… And while you are at it, why don’t you hire someone that enjoys people for the front of house.

I was so looking forward to trying this amazing mac and cheese, I had seen it on TV, read the reviews gave it a try, totally disappointed, I ordered the hamburger mac and what I got was bland noodles with very little cheese, no bacon, a few crumbs of bland hamburger, and ALOT of onoins and potato chips, this has been my experience both times to Mac, won’t be giving them another chance, very disappointed.

I love mac & cheese, and this place has a huge variety to choose from. I got the truffle mac & cheese(shaved prosciutto, peas, mushrooms, truffle oil). YUM. The truffle oil really complemented everything. You can taste it in every bite. The portions are huge, forewarning. The proscuitto was also pretty good, although I’m not really used to eating it hot. It didn’t make that much of a difference to the mac & cheese to be honest. I liked the mushrooms and peas too. I think if I get this again, I would ask to add breadcrumbs on top. By the end of the dish, I was kind of sick of it, but I think that’s normal for a big bowl of cheese & noodles. I did think it was a little pricey for just mac & cheese, though.

Nestled in a offset portion of Mississippi Street. This place is your place for the 4 – 10 year old that loves Mac n Cheese. This is not however your typical Mac N Cheese. It better not be with such a name right. Plenty of options some for the more adventurous others the good old comfort food you are looking for. Portions are more than generois for me and the children’s plate. It was made to order and took just the right amount of time. You can sit outdoors at one of their tables if you want to be a little grown up or are on a date. I chose indoors because i was with kids. This is a great option if the usual favorites are just packed so much and you really dont want to wait in line. There are also some desserts which was a surprise because there are so many dessert options in the area.

We tried the regular mac and cheese and the one with chili. They were tasty, and our kids really liked the food. I appreciated how cool the man behind the counter was with the toddlers we had with us. One of them spilled water a couple of times and when we were trying to clean it ourselves he came and cleaned it. When we apologized he said that he understood because he has a 6 year old. His attitude was such a relief in a day that had been stressful. Besides, it is easier to control toddlers in booths than in regular tables. We’ll be back.

I bought an Amazon local coupon a couple of weeks ago for Mac! and finally decided to walk over the Mac! last weekend for lunch. Generally, I don’t like restaurants where you have to walk to the counter to order. Why is it they deliver the food to your table and still expect the requisite 20% tip? So, I took my adult daughter and my girlfriend to Mac! last Saturday. We arrived about noon and there were no other customers. The guy manning the cash register wasn’t all that friendly and he seemed to take offense at my Amazon deal. We eventually ordered three different mac and cheeses: the Original, the Tabetha & Karissa’s Spinach & Artichoke, and the Poutine. We also ordered two glasses of iced tea. Let’s start with the iced tea which came in a 16oz glass that was filled with at least 12oz of ice. When the waiter arrived at our table with our three mac and cheeses, there was no offer to refill the iced teas that we paid $ 2.50 each for. The waiter also never returned to ask whether we needed anything or liked our meals. The three mac and cheeses were incredibly bland and not very cheesy. The«Original» tasted like original Kraft Mac and Cheese out of the box. I was expecting real mac and cheese that would have a thick, rich, cheesy sauce that would taste like real cheese. The«Original» didn’t deliver that. The«Tabetha & Karissa’s Spinach & Artichoke» was a very bland mac and cheese in a white sauce. After taking a few bites, I looked carefully for some artichoke: there were a few pieces but they were absolutely flavorless. There were ten or so leaves of spinach, one of which was grainy/dirty tasting. The cheese sauce was thin and bland and tasted like it came from a mix. As with the«Original,» it was impossible to ascertain what cheese the dish was actually made from. The worst of the dishes was the Poutine, which is saying something considering the other two dishes. I have had real poutine in the past and that only part of the dish that resembled poutine were the little cheese balls/curds. The sauce for this dish was very, very thin and had little flavor except for vinegar. Poutines are typically made with a brown gravy that has some meat flavor. Since the portions were good sized, I would have given the restaurant two stars. However, given the crappy service, small iced teas, and the horrendous Poutine mac and cheese, I can only give Mac! one star. If you like good food, I can’t recommend this place to anyone. If you like Kraft Mac and Cheese out of the box, stop in and pay $ 8 for a decent-sized portion of their«Original.» But be forewarned in regards to the quality of the product.

I absolutely love this place! It also helps that they have gluten free noodles! The pull pork gluten free mac is so melt in your mouth delicious that you want to lick the plate like no one is watching! It made me dance in my seat with pure joy.(I tend to dance when something is so pleasing to my tastebuds). You can’t even tell that the noodles are gluten free! My boyfriend who is absolutely picky, loved it! He got the cheeseburger mac and it was pretty tasty as well. Mmmm my mouth is watering thinking about this tasty delight.

Mac! In it’s hay day(about a year and a half ago) was amazing. The Mac was great and always seemed fresh. I was a total sucker for the grandmas Mac, those little bread crumbs on top? YESPLEASE. But then, it all went down hill. From the grumpy older gent at the register, to the very watery Mac I got a couple of weeks ago, I’m now very bummed. I just moved to the neighborhood, but I’ll continue to skip Mac and make my own(or stop by new seasons hot bar) until they make improvements. There’s so much potential!
