This is a fabulous store! The gal working here on the day we visited was amazingly kind and very helpful and quick. The hand knit sweaters are just gorgeous! Even though I can crochet something similar, if I had a child small enough I would have bought one anyway. The rain boot collection was perfect and we found the little lady bug boots my daughter adores and outgrew her last pair. They also have a decent selection of leather bottom infant walking shoes, clothing, knit hats, girls hair accessories, jewelry and much more. But, if for no other reason, do go in and check out the sweaters for sure. They are adorable!

Very cute store with a homey feel. After leaving Duck Duck Goose I thought for sure I wouldn’t be able to find anything for my niece for under $ 100 on 23rd. Popped in and much to my surprise, adorable clothing, bibs, toys hand knit sweaters for great prices! Ended up with cute pink shoes, a bib and flip flops for $ 55. Not bad! We could’ve spent all day looking at all of the cute items for sale(ladybug backpack, hair ribbons etc)!

Walking along 23rd on a Sunday afternoon, my girlfriend spotted a small children’s boutique, Mako. She wanted to get a gift for her sister’s newly adopted baby girl, so we stepped inside. With my own sister being 8 months along in her pregnancy, I had to start thinking about picking up a little something for my niece-to-be as well. This place was perfect. They have a little bit of everything: clothes, toys, books, stuffed animals, and baby garb. The possibilities were endless. I could have probably spent hundreds of dollars, but for a modest $ 40, I got a great gift and a great deal. I’m guessing Mako is the name of the woman who owns the shop, because as the girlfriend pointed out to me, hand knit baby ware by Mako as Mako herself sat there knitting a baby-sized knit cap. Seems the obvious is never too obvious for my cluelessness. Thankfully, I’ve gotten away with it thus far in my life. Okay, enough rambling.
