Stormy is the best bartender in town. Try her«Pink Pussy», it’s to die for if you like Tequila. It’s made with Tequila Rose, which isn’t served in a lot of places(in divey southest anyway, lol). I’ve actually had bartenders at other bars call Stormy for this drink recipe. Montana’s is dark & dirty fun!

I’ve only been in here twice. The first time was around 5pm on a weekend. There weren’t too many people in there but it wasn’t empty, just perfect for me. The crowd seemed mostly like twerkers, most of which were glued to the video lottery machines. This doesn’t really bother me, but isn’t my preferred choice. The bartender greeted my friend and I more than friendly, almost seeming like she really didn’t want us to leave. And when we did she seemed really disappointed and encouraged us to come back asap. It was sweet but sounded a little sad and desperate. Since I didn’t have a bad time I went back a second time, around 11pm on a week night. Same amount of peoples as before, but all heavy tweakers. Almost everyone in there was gross and rude except one really drunk guy who wouldn’t leave us alone. The bartender seemed annoyed that we were there so we quickly left.

Simple bar. They were out of Widmer Hefeweizen when I was there. Disappointed with microbrew selection but settled for Drop Top. Lots of lottery customers. Locals. Security cameras watch parking lot.

Divey, comfy, and friendly — these are my three words to live by when it comes to choosing a place to drink. I come here every week or two and I usually see the same people hanging out. It’s easy to have a nice conversation here even if you walk in by yourself. I always show up during the early afternoon when the owner is working behind the bar due to when I’m usually in the neighborhood. Drinks aren’t weak or watery, and they have a good basic menu for a place that doesn’t have a large kitchen. Mostly you’ll find tasty fried things like corn dogs, and chicken strips, as well as fried chicken gizzards and bags of chips. The bottled beer selection is pretty good, and they’ll probably have whatever spirit you’re in the mood for(as long as you aren’t looking for something really obscure). There are a number of TVs, a pool table, a few of those video poker machines, a good jukebox, and a choice of table or bar. It’s also got a private parking lot for those of you that drive. Come over and relax with the regulars!

A study in contrasts: Situated snugly right up practically underneath the country cat kitchen. The clientele for this dive bar is about 2 decades older and 2 tax brackets lower than the country cat. There is live music, though I can scarcely begin to tell you if they attract anybody worth listening to. If you can think of a dirt beer draft they probably have it, and that’s not a bad thing, by any means.

I sometimes work across the street from this divy dive and I heard a story where some guy came into this bar to rob it with a bow & arrow. I had to see it myself… Once in, I can see it. It’s as divy as you can get. Dark, sticky, & smokey. Patrons are cool and tender’s cool. Smokey sometimes but if the beer’s flowing, it’s all good.
