Excellent place for your pagan, Wicca, heathen, metaphysical, or wizard needs. This store has everything from ritual supplies to oils to tarot to books to herbs to gemstones to incense to figurines to jewelry to pendulums, all kinds of stuff. Their prices are reasonable for a small business that is competing with much larger vendors. And the owners, who are always there, have been doing this for years and years, so they’re able to answer any questions you might have. There is a good energy in this shop too, it is big and bright, and there is usually some light magickal smell in the air.
One note: it kind of helps to know what you’re looking for when you go in there, as it is easy to get overwhelmed by the selection
Highly recommend this shop for your magickal needs and will be returning!

very excellent, local, independent magic arts shop on SE belmont. gemstones, candles, books, essential oils, jewelry, incense, herbs, crystals, random mystical baubles, etc. for all your occult needs. the bearded wizard (literally) behind the counter was chill and knowledgeable. great little pdx spot.

This is a favorite shop of mine for stones, crystals, books, candles, herbs, oils, incense, jewelry, bumper stickers, magickal altar items, CD’s and the list goes on! It’s sad they had to leave the store on Hawthorne because that place, being located upstairs, had quite the ‘atmosphere’ and lots of character with the creaking floors! None the less though, this shop is super cool and the owners, Debra and Roy are VERY knowledgeable and helpful :)

I got a couple of very pretty unusual polished stones here and the storekeeper on duty was very patient and helpful in identifying the stones and opening display cases while I eagerly looked at various rocks and crystals inside. There’s a fun assortment of artifacts. I was disappointed by the selection of tarot cards on hand and by the lack of correlation between what was in the card sample binder and which decks were actually available… but it’s so difficult to hold it against these guys as they are very eager to please and to help answer customer questions when they can.
Also the rocks were really pretty.

I always want to buy pretty much everything in this store. Especially for such a small place, they have a very impressive collection of beautiful (and high-​quality) Pagan jewelry, literature, journals, home décor, crystals, herbs, candles, goblets, incense, swords & daggers, and even a few cloaks. I recommend conversing with the owners; they are good people and very knowledgeable about their products (and can answer many questions you have regarding pagan religions and rituals; they so far have been able to answer all of mine.) If you or someone you’re shopping for has an interest in the older religions and practices, or even just a love for mystical themes, medieval times, and/​or mythology, I highly recommend shopping here.

I love this store and the people who own it. They are definitely GOOD people! There are some special and unique items in this store that make perfect gifts for the person in your life who may be open to magic or who just loves magical, celtic, or spiritual things.
They also have very cool jewelry and some fun bumper stickers.

Are you interested in become a witch or a warlock? Do you hang out on Hawthorne? If both of these things describe you, then Moonshadow is probably your favorite boutique on weird-​Hawthorne. Occupying the second story of an old Hawthorne home on the corner with 34th (the Hawthorne caf is right downstairs), Moonshadow supplies witches and warlocks with all of the important herbs, crystals, and books they could need to start casting spells.
