I have been a patient of North Portland Chiropractic Clinic for over 8 years. This clinic was not my first for chiropractic experience, but it will be my forever choice for body care.
As a person with chronic pain and arthritis, in my 30s, following spinal fusion and multiple car accidents, I will promise you this team really cares about their patients and takes their time to assure you leave a better self. I love how the e-​stim and massage techniques are used at each appointment.
Dr. Henderson is a wealth of knowledge and makes it his mission to give the best adjustment, from your head to your toes. The clinic is a walk clinic, with attentive office staff and with multiple doctors, who all are top notch… so getting the care you need is never an issue.
I drive from Beaverton weekly just to continue as a patient because they really give the best treatment in Portland!
Also, I am grateful the clinic is beyond reasonable in price, with or without insurance.

This place is awesome! Very nice and professional as well as affordable! Dr. Bill was great and helped me with my back injury while not hurting my wallet. I definitely recommend North Portland chiropractic to anyone in need of chiropractic services. After your first visit where they establish you as a patient then you can just walk in any time they are open. That is great for my busy schedule.

I’ve been on the fence about writing this review because I like Dan and Bill personally and think they’re really nice guys who mean well, but after having gone to another chiropractor recently and getting radically different results, I find I have to say something.
I’ve been experiencing varying degrees of chronic neck pain for the last six years. It’s gone from an occasional flare up to constant in the last two years, and it’s varied from mildly irritating to debilitating. I started seeing Drs. Dan and Bill three years ago to treat this problem. I liked them personally, as I said, and I felt good about the experience of seeing them.
Now, that said, the treatments weren’t helpful. First up, I’ve been seeing them for three years and my pain has actually increased and gotten worse — not gotten better. Secondly, in the three years I’ve seen them, we never developed a treatment plan, never got stretches and exercises, and they’ve never taking my pain updates into account when they’ve given me a treatment. Third, it’s always — every time — been exactly the same treatment: 20 minutes on the electrostim machine followed by a few neck and upper back adjustments.
More problems: The adjustments are completely inconsistent. Sometimes, the adjustment provides me with immediate relief that lasts for a day or two. Just as often, the adjustment radically increases my pain and reduces my mobility — for days. Never am I getting long term relief. And on one occassion, one adjustment was so hard and vigorous that the entire left side of my body went numb for an entire day. When I went back to see them about this numbness later that day, they said nothing they had done had caused this and their recommended treatment for this condition was that I have a beer and chill out. Not cool.
Like I said, they’re really nice guys and I like them personally quite a bit, but the focus on their practice really seems to be about seeing as many patients as possible through the course of the day. It’s a revolving door — no appointment is necessary — and Ispend more time in a dark room getting my neck palpated by an electronic stimulator than I do getting an adjustment, let alone having an actual conversation to chart my progress. I had given up completely on chiropractic and accepted that this chronic pain was just going to be a feature of my experience for the rest of my life when an acquaintance who happens to be an acupuncturist explained to me that there are talented chiropractors who make a big difference in just a few sessions, and then there are the rest. She encouraged me to find a talented chiropractor.
I found Dr. Andrea Herrst at City Fit Chiropractic, and I’ve seen her twice in two weeks and for the first time in years I have literally no neck pain. I still have tight tendons and muscles that pop and crack, but after two sessions I literally have no pain. Dr. Herrst spent an hour with me before she even gave me my first adjustment, and she did a rigorous intake that looked at all areas of my life so she could understand my problem fully. Then we — together — devised a treatment strategy that involved exercises, stretches, massage, and adjustments. And in two weeks, my neck is significantly better.
I feel badly posting this because, again, I like Dan and Bill a lot, but the truth of the matter is they never really helped me, and they may actually have made my problem worse. I can’t see them anymore.

I’ve gone here on & off over the years, whenever I have back or neck pain flare up. I’ve seen both Dr. Dan & Dr. Bill. You can schedule an appointment, or they do walk-​ins with very little wait. I’ve always had great results from their treatments and almost always have relief after one visit. As another reviewer mentioned, there’s no «hard sell» for follow up visits or pressure to schedule your next appointment. Highly recommended.

Dr Dan and Dr Bill are excellent chiropractors. I have been thoroughly impressed with the treatments I’ve received from each of them. Both are gentle adjusters, super knowledgable, and give really good advice about self-​care. I have been so impressed with these guys that I recommend them to anyone I know with back and neck pain. Highly recommend!

Dr. Bill Henderson is great, very straight forward, this will be the 4^th Chiropractor who has examined my back and FINALLY I have some insight into what’s going on with my spine.
The office is very organized and the staff is super friendly. You don’t need an appointment, the Dr’s aren’t going to tell you you need to come in 2 x a week for the rest of your life, it’s based on your needs! Fancy that! a Dr. that isn’t going to screw you over.
Oh and the best part, it’s affordable!
