Paid for all-​day parking and had to leave for 20 minutes at lunch to run an errand for a volunteer group I belong to. I returned and parked in the same space I’d been in earlier that day. Within 5 minutes they’d slapped me with a $ 44 fine for violating their no IN/​OUT parking rule. I understand that they need to keep spaces for monthly pass parkers, but since by the time of day the lot had been closed to hourly parkers, the monthly folks were covered. And seriously, by 1 pm, most people are at work, don’t you think? $ 44??? I could see an additional day fee but this is piracy.

Tried this morning to enter the lot next to the Portland Art Museum only to find a Pacific Audit Solutions employee standing in the way preventing my safe entrance. He knew I was behind him and after I tapped my horn he turned and with a dirty look just stood his ground. Wow, I guess the employees attitude reflect all the one star reviews. So sad.

Similar to the rest of the reviews on this site, I cannot believe this company! I parked at a lot next to The Living Room and could not get the machine to work. I tried three times and each time it kept going to a black screen after payment. I left a note on my dashboard with four dollars laying on top of the note, which is what the parking would have cost on my credit card, but I couldn’t get it to work. I showed the money just to let them know that I would gladly send it to them. Well, they couldn’t care less how hard I tried to get a parking voucher. Please, please avoid these lots.

If you are closed at 5pm how the hell did I get a parking ticket at 10pm on a Sunday night for parking in a parking lot that wasn’t labeled otherwise. Unbelievable. You are the mafia… ROT!!!

I have been using one of their lots in Portland (lot #115) for over two years because my employer asked that I park there as opposed to the building garage because it is a few dollars cheaper and just across the street. I didn’t mind until this week when they changed the options for parking on their machine and gave no notifications that the options had changed. So I didn’t read the options because I always selected #3, all day parking, and I was in a hurry and went through the motions. I got out to my car at the end of the day and had a penalty notice. I was so confused because I thought I had paid for all day parking ($ 12.25) instead of 3 hour parking ($ 12.00). I had to go back to the machine to see what option #3 was because I thought I was going crazy. Option #3 changed from all day parking to 3 hour parking and now all day parking was option #4. You can see where the paint has worn off of option #3 on the machine because that is what everyone who parks there uses. If you want 1 to 3 hours of parking you just park on the street.
Needless to say I was upset and planned on calling them when I got home per these instructions on the back of the penalty ticket, «Should you disagree with this notice, please contact Pacific Audit Solutions by mail, email, or telephone between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.» I called at 3:56 p.m. and received a recorded message that their office was closed and their normal business hours are between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. So I left a detailed message and then I submitted a complaint about lot #115 change of options with no notice. Two days went by and I did not receive any phone call or email regarding my complaint or penalty dispute. So I made sure to call during their business hours and kindly explained to Jenny, my service representative, what had happened. She said she could do nothing for me because it stated on my ticket that it expired at 1:08 p.m. and I should have heeded that time. No apology not even a I’m sorry for the inconvenience about our stated hours of operation. I calmly explained that I will never be using any of there lots ever again and will in fact file a formal complaint with the city and what ever other online rating system. So here I am warning you that you will get slapped with a $ 39-​$ 83 fine (and sent to collections if you go over 90 days) over a $ 0.25 discrepancy that they don’t bother notifying anyone about. Shady all the way around.

This company does not honor handicap parking placards. That is a terrible policy and counter to the way that all retail and government businesses operate.
When I spoke with a representative they were unapologetic and snarky about the situation. As a handicapped person I will be letting the city of Portland know about this.
I will be paying my ticket but am not happy about it. Stay away from this company, all you have to do is look at the reviews to know what they are all about.

This company is contracted by the city and making money off you in a fraudulent way! I parked my car bought my ticket 7:36 am then sat in our car to complete some calls, got out of the car at 7:51 am but noticed my ticket dropped off the windshield, open back up the car and put it in center dash holder, closed my car then checked ticket to be sure it was still secure in place. Then we crossed the street and my daughter seen a ticket person pull up behind my car and didn’t think anything about it until we returnrd and got in our car and noticed all the alarms were going off saying rear cameras damaged. Got out to find the back of my car was damaged and hit hard enough to flip the ticket out of the middle dash consult and a ticked placed in my windshield within 3 minutes of leaving sight of my car at 7:56am. This is a $ 931.41 in damage to my car then failed to take care of it. They wouldn’t let us look at the car to match up damage, Jake Galberth simply denied any responsibility and called it case closed and refused to show me the pictures #08 car took of my car. Very very strange behavior! Time to let my insurance carriers attorney take care of it!

This company is a racket and a scam. Please beware of any parking lots that utilize this company for paid parking services.
Other reviews seem to be similar to my experience.
They will find a way to issue you a ticket — valid or not — and there seems to be no way of not paying. They will send your case to a collections agency very quickly even during the time you are disputing the violation. They will also add late fees while you are disputing the violation and refuse to remove them.
Terrible, horrible, no-​good business.

Extremely upset with this company. I parked in the lot located on NW 23^rd and Glisan I got there around 5:25 and went to the pay station and paid 2 hours ($ 6.00 dollars). However, the receipt was not printed. I checked my bank account and the charge appeared immediately, that is why I decided to leave a note on my dashboard saying that the meter did not print my receipt but that I was charged and left my car parked there. When I came back, before the 2 hours that I have already paid, there was a guy fixing the meter, it just ran out of paper and because of that, their fault, I got a penalty notice.
Called them and they asked me to sent an email; I sent 3 emails explaining my case and they couldn’t care less. They replied saying that Unfortunately their auditors are unable to verify if there was a meter problem during the time of audit, which is why they have it clearly stated on their signage at the meter that if a receipt is not dispensed from the machine, do not park in the facility, Why should I move to another location If I had already paid and I was in a rush, that’s the reason I parked there in the first place to avoid driving around.
Their service and costumer service are worthless. I won’t ever park in their lots again.

Ruthless capitalist. I had a job for about 90 minutes at the business that was part of the parking lot. I have parked their in the past to shop at other businesses but never over an hour, but I had never known any parking restriction sign there in all the years I’ve lived here. It was only after I saw the ticket that I looked around and spotted the sign. Um — they should definitely make it visible if my 20/​20, super-​color perception vision could not see it just a few feet away.
Since I read someone successfully getting their ticket cut in half, I messaged them with my situation — my income is in the poverty level and the ticket cost = almost a week budget for my food/​sustenance. It took about a week before I got a response and was a wasted try. This is my first time ever getting ticked like this. No wonder Americans are in debt!

Well these guys ticketed me for parking on the side of the street without any signage down on Ironside Terrace by Union Station. Unfortunately my ability to sense parking enforcement zones using ESP is limited, my bad. Nor did I take the obvious step of searching the surrounding area for any signs within 60 feet that may or may not apply to where I was parking.
So that was awesome and I’m super impressed by their integrity in running their business this way. 1 bright shining star for these enterprising people.

Call the city, write the city. Complain about this company. They are totally corrupt and the city needs to fire them.

This company is a blight.
They ticketed me for having «not paid/​not displaying my receipt correctly» when my parking receipt was displayed in the exact fashion that it says to do so on the receipt.

FINE DOE DOES NOT FIT THE VIOLATION!
It cost us $ 44 for 1 hour of parking at Union Station. My wife, mother-​in-​law, and I went to Wilfs for lunch. Ma is disabled and we have a wheelchair Placard we used in a space designated for wheelchair disabled. We did not notice the additional sign that we still must pay for parking – too bad cuz there were many spots on the street.
We called Pacific Audit to plead our case to no avail. This is the first time and last time we’ll ever park in their private lot. One issue is the disabled sign is separate from the pay sign – it should be in one sign to eliminate any confusion. Second issue, how can the fine (disabled or not) be $ 44 for a 1 hour parking violation, when the cost of parking is a buck and change.
And note, Wheelchair Placards are honored with free parking in any metered space over 30 minutes throughout Portland.

Reading through these reviews did nothing except irritate me further. Clearly I am not the only one who HATES «Pacific Audit Solutions»… There is a common theme of abuse here. Another ironic finding — Pacific Audit Solutions is not registered with the Better Business Bureau! I wonder why? What awful business operators. I even lobbed a call to MARK GOODMAN to inform him of his company’s indecencies, I suggest you all do the same! The very least we can do is bother him while he tries to grow this cancerous business. The machine was broke on system reset on 23^rd and Glisan, tried to pay, left a not still got a $ 44.00 ticket. Mark Goodman shame on you for charging so much, outrageous fines, how does the City of Portland allow this to happen. Not fair, not nice, maybe we all need to rethink using any of these private lots to park.

Ok, so after getting a ticket from this company and researching all the consequences of not paying and ways to try and get out of it. I was struck by a theme that seems to be present in all the reviews, complaints, and advice. I have yet to see a person who doesn’t pay and reports the actual consequences. Everyone with their feelings of injustice and frustration still ends up paying.
So lets do something about it. It seems like we have digressed as a society when we can let a parking ticket of $ 40 scare us into compliance. If we don’t believe in this company’s practices or the way the city has given authority to a private company without the proper avenue to a trial by a judge, why are we complaining on a website? Why are we paying the fines? And why aren’t we writing letters to our representatives and going to city meetings?
I am giving this company a 5 star rating for it’s ability to get people involved in the direction of the community.
I am sure that the 20 or so people on this website could change the law if we did these three things.
1. Stop supporting this business, ie not pay the fine! and document the consequences (Already gone to debt collectors, I will be surprised if anything happens). I will keep you updated.
2. Write letters to city officials.
3. Attend city council meetings.

Your ticket says I need to pay penalty in 30 days before you double it, so that date is Nov 18, 2013, now you changed it to 14 days since this email which is Nov 6^th, 2013.

I have collected all evidence showing:
[1] This place evening rate was $ 3 way cheaper than most nearby parking facilities
[2] The Instruction clearly says STOP here to get a ticket to meter time, but failed to yield any ticket after several attempts to get it. I had 6 pictures with time stamps 1 sec apart from each showing pushing that button even for 6 seconds, nothing comes out
[3] The confusing White Metal Stick with words «AFER HOURS PAYS HERE» and «ENVELOP HERE», I have pictures of it, and showing it was a metal stick, nowhere to open it to find an envelop
[4] The RED Coin Laundry Machine look machine in a very unnoticeable place, and no words on it, ONLY a nasty cigarette butt on it which had been staying there for long time, and it seems that no one use that machine. Plus if it is a machine to take money, are you expecting everyone to carry 12 quarters to pay? There is no human operator, there is no credit card machine, I tried everything and couldn’t figure out where and how to pay
These three instructions are contradicting to one another, it meant to confuse people, therefore people could fall prey of your penalty ticket.
[5] I found other vehicles near me also get the same ticket, which tells me any normal honest people would fall in this trap which is meant to trap people. $ 3 cheap price to lure you in, what is waiting there is a $ 44 ticket. That’s it

These guys are vampires waiting to steal your life blood ($) from you any chance they get ! Terrible customer service and unreasonable workers. I want to open up a can of sardines… let it go bad… and then pour the contents on the payment booths :)

The horror stories here are true.
I also got a ticket while attempting to pay to park. The response I got back said «Payment is required in advance». So I guess the lesson learned here is — don’t park the car and then go pay. Stop in the middle of the freaking lot (holding up traffic if you have to) and pay at the crappy machine (that will barely ever read your credit card) and then get in your car to park.
These attendants must be waiting like vultures, no doubt compensated based on the number of tickets they give out, while the parking lot owners are too greedy to pay for an attendant or to fix their machines.
You could say these people are just doing their job. But this company is truly predatory. Even submitting proof of payment and claiming I was paying wasn’t enough for even a deduction in the ticket. These people are out to get your money, not provide you a fair service. They deserve every complaint and angry customer they get.
I have no doubts that the reports of the attendants pocketing extra money are true as well. These ticketers and attendants are in a job working for people who literally just want to milk a cash cow. The city should force this business to provide recompense for its greedy actions.
Do not park in these lots. You are feeding money into a greedy private company that takes advantage of its customer at every opportunity.
I will be submitting a written complaint to to the City of Portland Revenue Bureau. I suggest you do as well, even if it is just a short letter.
