After multiple below standard experiences here, the owner Sarah stated that she will try to remedy this issue and educate her employees. I had plans to visit again in the near future to reevaluate the service provided, after all, the food is AMAZING!!! The only reason why I would give it an other try!

Great service, awesome options. Incredibly excited about their beverage menu. I honestly can’t wait to come back and eat all the pie! Really unique and fun.

I went there for lunch today with my customer. We like to try a new place every time we have lunch. Today, I picked Pacific Pie Company. It was delicious! I had the lamb meatball wrap with a side salad and ginger sesame dressing. It was so good! My customer had the chicken pot pie! Delish!!! Service was great too!

I have been here twice now. I will start by saying it is very cute inside. Yes, I called the inside of this place cute. Outside of being aesthetically pleasing I felt like it lacked something… I just can’t put my finger on it. I have had pies both times since this is the Pie Company. The crust which is an important part of all pies is done pretty well. The innards of the pies I have had were also good, but nothing to write home about. Overall, the price of the food and the vibe(again not sure what rubbed me wrong) I just don’t really love this place. It’s a «Meh» spot and I suppose if you’re really into meat pies maybe you give it a try. If not though, there are so many more restaurants in this area to check out first.

Went here because it was close to my post office at lunch. Walked up to the cash register to order and was completely ignored. The staff saw me, they just decided to keep on walking by. One guy even started sweeping the floor! Other people came in behind me and were at the counter wanting to order some pies. No help for them either. Finally, the guy comes over and takes my order. I order a chicken pot pie. He says it’ll be 10 – 12 minutes. I say okay I’ll wait at the bar, can I have a glass of water while I wait. No water for me. Eventually, right before my order is done, the guy got me a glass of tap water with no ice. I barely took one drink and my food was ready. I leave and get to my car and start eating the chicken pot pie. Was disgusting. Not even hot! Lukewarm at best. Crust was good, but that’s about it. Can get a frozen pot pie at the grocery store for cheaper and same taste. $ 7 for a tiny pot pie served lukewarm with a long wait. No thanks. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Were visiting friends in Portland and so glad we stopped by here. Such a cute place and I’m obsessed with everything we tried. First time having pecan pie and now I’m hooked, the bite sized apple pies were perfect too. We ordered everything to go and enjoyed them with whiskey at a nearby bar ha.

I have been here for lunch and enjoyed the spinach pie tremendously but this review is for their catering menu and customer service. I make mini two bite pies quite a bit but just didn’t have the time and energy this year and wanted to bring about 4 dozen to a holiday staff party. I sent an email asking for more info and then for some reason forgot to check my work email and figured they didn’t get back to me. I thought I was already cutting it kind of close asking for this order on a Friday for Monday afternoon pick up. Monday morning and I’m back at work and saw an email from the owner«just checking in to see if you found another place and please think of us in the future». Yikes! I totally didn’t even see their first email from last Friday that included more info and pricing! I immediately emailed — mind you it’s after 10am and I would like to pick them up that day… wasn’t sure if it was possible but I asked anyway and again, received a speedy reply with an order confirmation for pick up after 6pm. Hooray! I brought them to my morning staff meeting today and they were a huge hit. Everyone wanted to know where I got them and where the SE location is there near Hawthorne. Thank you for the last minute accommodation– we were all very appreciative of the service and quality pies! My favorite was the blueberry/cranberry. Different and tasty.

I was ruined after having lunch at the Aussie Pie Guy truck on a trip to Vancouver, B.C. Then fate stepped in, fate being Sarah and Chris, who opened Pacific Pie Company walking distance from my abode. Savory pies, desert pies, larger thighs(from all the pies)… Pacific Pie brought authentic Australian pies to Portland, and for that I am thankful. Though Pacific Pie’s desert pies are damn good(especially the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie) I usually only have room for one or the other and prefer their well portioned(somewhere between FULL to full with doggy-bag in hand) savory options(favorites being Beef & Mushroom Pie and Curried Samosa Pastie). They also have a frozen pie case, my go-to for dreary days and unexpected guests.

Decent, but compared to all the excellent food in Portland this place left something to be desired. The food took a fair amount of time to come out but was only luke warm. The only thing that was hot were the potatoes wedges bur disappointingly it was obvious they’d been cooked much earlier in the day and the just microwaved for serving. With all the great food options in Portland I will likely pass on seconds here.

Delicious comfort food! Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options… Basically an array of shepherds pies, pot pies, and hand held pastie pies. Pastie with sweet potato, spinach, and goat cheese was divine. Wonderful flake pastry– can wait to try a sweet pie! Shepherds pie with lentils, root veggies, and savory mushroom sauce also delicious. Terrific service. Only odd thing was the bathroom… Still wondering why the seat covers are available only outside the actual stalls in the women’s restroom. But not really a big deal. Will definitely be back!

I’ve had the unfortunate experience of dinning-in here several times within the last year. I do not know if this is mere coincidence or simply the way things work here, but I’ve gotten horrible service every single time. The oversized waitress forgot a food item or drink every single time I dined here. The food itself is acceptable, but nothing to write home about, and absolutely not worth the pricing. This place did inspire me to go home and cook my own lamb pie, which cost about 90% less to make than what these guys charge and tasted a million times better. All in all, this is nothing more than a fancy tourist trap. I’d rather visit the Zoomcare next door than step a foot in this place again.

Five stars until the dessert! Ironically. I have only stopped in this joint one other time since it came to the neighborhood and have generally avoided it as a food option because I don’t eat gluten and try not to make a habit of gf baked goods. But after reading the reviews about the lunch and dinner offerings and seeing that they were open until ten on a Monday night, I had to see for myself. I ordered the Chicken & Polenta, which was the most delicious thing I’ve eaten at a restaurant in recent memory. It came out piping hot and beautifully presented with a big green side salad. My partner had the shepherd’s pie, which he liked but said he would have preferred white potatoes. Our server was very friendly and treated us like we mattered, which can be hard to come by in Portland, especially at the end of a week night in an empty restaurant. They lose a star for the disappointing dessert. We weren’t going to get one, and I wish we had just stopped at dinner since it was so good, but my man wanted to try to gf tart they had to offer so we split it. Well, the thing came to the table room temp/erring on cold and hard as a rock. It seemed like it had been sitting out for a couple days. Maybe if it was warmed up first it would have been more pleasant, but we weren’t happy at all. I’ll get my gf desserts elsewhere around town, but excited to try all of Pacific’s salads and some more of the entrees.

This place is crazy good! The pie and pasties have this perfectly flaky crust. And the fillings are rich and super delicious. This soup and salad were even amazing! Great service and atmosphere, as well. :)

Impressive quality and service. It could get 5 stars from me, but right now it’s sitting at a solid 4.5. I am disappointed it took me too long to discover this gem. Partially, location is to blame being on the very north end of NW23rd a few blocks shy of the industrial region, but still on the«main strip» I guess. Great place for lunch! Location aside, the restaurant’s concept is pretty unique with the pot pie/dessert pies being at the Australian core. I feel like the on-site service portion of the business is overlooked, mainly because I felt that way because it was not super crowded like other long wait times locations in that area. Also, don’t assume that all they serve are these rich pies. There are a fair selection of alternative entrees, like the Lamb meatball wrap, which was delicious and served with a nice sized side salad, clocking in just under $ 10. Personal pot pies are also available, as are regular salad meals. On two separate occasions thus far I have selected whole frozen pot pies, the Lamb(Shepherd’s) Pie being my favorite with a terrific crust. Chicken, and beef/mushroom are the other prominent offerings. Because I have only been here for lunch and picked up dinner to go, I recommend either. The setting is nice enough for a business lunch and casual enough for any occasion. It’s not crowded and easy to get in and out! Servers are very good and gracious. Give it a shot! Cheers!

We were in the area and decided to stop by here. Apparently, this is the place to go to Australian meat pies. Their décor is pretty classy and gives off a romantic feel to it. They have both savory and sweet pies here and I chose to get the chicken pie floater. It’s a chicken pot pie that comes afloat split pea soup. If that’s not a hearty meal, I don’t know what is. Despite it’s heartiness, I felt like the pie was a bit too much for me. The split pea soup was too starchy for my taste and I wished it had a lighter taste to it. Also, the pie wasn’t as creamy as I’d hope and it was a little on the drier side for me. Meh. Maybe, I was unlucky and caught them on an off day. I’d give them another shot if I was ever in town again.

I’m not sure how I came across Pacific Pie Company, because I wasn’t exactly searching for Australian food while we were in Portland. This little intersection of Portland seems to have the most Australians per square foot, outside of Sydney and Bali, which I took as a promising sign that I would at last be able to satisfy my sausage rolls cravings. My boyfriend, who is Australian, was beyond delighted to find that they had some lamingtons(sponge cake with a layer of chocolate coating, dusted with coconut flakes). The lamington was good, but the sponge cake was a little dry. That’s about the only negative we could say about the food though! We enjoyed the mini sausage rolls. The meat was well seasoned, well cooked and well wrapped in little cocoons of flakey pastry goodness. The dipping sauce was a bit too adventurous for me. I preferred pairing it with ketchup. I thoroughly enjoyed my green chicken curry pie. I hesitated at first because it sounded like a bastardized version of the classic chicken pot pie and I didn’t think green peppers would be good in a pie, but I’m glad I ordered it. The pie was delicious, flavorful, and no less comforting than a chicken pot pie. It came with a side of chicken noodle soup(you get your choice of soup or salad), and the chicken noodle soup was Awesome(yes, with a capital A). My boyfriend opted for the steak and mushroom pie, which he destroyed in minutes. We literally had to waddle out of the restaurant because we were so full. I love their happy hour menu! You’ll find the mini sausage rolls for $ 5 on the happy hour menu and you can also get a sweet pie with coffee or tea for $ 5, or savory pie with beer for $ 9! Totally worth stopping by. And when you do, let me know how the sweet pies are.

Funny enough, the entrees are what draws me here, not the pie. Maybe because it’s an Australian/meat pie/pastie restaurant and therefore the flavors can be different from what one is accustomed to in hipster Portland restaurants. It takes a few tries to figure out what’s awesome. Here’s a few things I’ve had so far: Split pea soup was a bit bland Spinach feta pastie was pretty good and so were the potato wedges. I liked the chicken pot pie and would definitely get that next time! For Aussie day they made a potato meat pie which was pretty good. Chicken schnitzel was AWESOME — well seasoned, moist chicken breast, great gravy and a mound of potatoes Mushroom gravy over polenta — UMAMI+YUM = YUMAMI Egg custard tart pie(from Australia day) — meh Pie: great crust! The sweet pies are good. The store is super cute and it will make you very happy. There are big windows making the space bright and airy, there are a few tables outside on the curb. The service is great, they will«pick out the avocado out» of your smoothie and honestly ask for feedback on the food. Biggest seating is for 8 but can probably push another table for 10. Typical seats 4 – 6. Big counter for 1 – 3 people.

I really liked the interior of this place! It was really cute! We ordered the classic chicken pie and beef and cheese for dinner. It took about 10 mins or so for the food to come out. But I wouldn’t mind it taking longer. our pies weren’t hot, it was just semi-warm. I think it would’ve been more enjoyable if it was hot. I’ll give it a 3⁄5 We had the salted caramel apple pie for dessert. And ice cream for a $ 1 extra. Usually I don’t like apple pies but this was soooooo good! I would have it again. 5⁄5
