Closed. Allegedly, both this building and the Portland Aquarium will be torn down(after February ’16) and a Goodwill will be put in. Sad that we can’t get more restaurants in this area.

Went to Panda Buffet today with my sister. Nasty place. The floor was dirty walking on the carpet was like walking thru sludge and I’m pretty sure I saw some rat poops on the way out. I’ve been here in the past and it was never this nasty. Save your stomach and go somewhere else

This is definitely an all you can eat buffet but the food looks like it had been sitting out all day. The hostess was nice, it’s just this place was not very clean. Not to mention the carpet was stained and the booth and tables were sticky. The food was okay but I don’t think I will come back here ever.

My family and I walked in– saw a woman who skipped a kind hello, but instead greeted us by a rude«you wanna eat here! PAYFIRST!!”-then points to her cash register. Worst food ever. Any place that asks you to pay first, means RUN!!! We sadly were so hungry when we stopped in that we didnt think to tour the buffet first… They had gross crusty old soup. nasty entrees, wilty gross salad bar, looked days old… ants crawling on the buffet counters… dirty floor and gross tables! Save your money!

I decide to try this place last week. Was disappointed the food was old, reheated and possibility expired, I felt extremely sick, the price are good but the food was just gross, and old

Hit and miss with this one. Sometimes super fresh yummy food. Sometimes a warm, wet mess. Used to be better. A deep clean, remodel, and new specials/offers might draw some folks back?

I agree with everyone else super cheap but limited food. I started reading reviews while I was eating(bad idea) and the food just wasn’t good. Go up the street to Panda Express way better quality food and u know u wont get sick. As I write this my stomach is not happy, but it could be because it was so damn salty. I’m giving 2 stars cause the girls are really nice and it is very cheap so if u are on a budget this will do the trick.

If you’re almost broke, but wanted to indulge Chinese food? Panda Buffet is the answer. Small selection of food, but some food are tasty.

Don’t do it! I had the misfortune of eating here right after I moved to the area, without knowing anyone or without thinking to look up reviews. The only food available(and mind you this was in the middle of the day), was fried American food(french fries, etc., and I’m not talking fried Americanized Chinese food). It wasn’t even fresh! It was like it had been under heat lamps from the day before. To top it off, the person I was there with got a piece of metal in their food. Just, don’t do it.

OK, don’t expect the same type of Chinese food you would get, say, at Canton Grill or even Chinese Village(one of my favorites), but most of these all-you-can-eat buffets make their food in a quicker way(egg foo young has no meat, fried rice same, etc), so there’s bound to be some differences. I’ve been coming here for years and have never gotten sick, have always been treated politely, even from the start when I first crossed their threshold. When they run out of food, they are very understanding and give accurate time frames for when the fresh stuff will come out. The price here is more than fair, and if you’ve read my past reviews, I’m persnickety about pricing. As for the décor everyone seems to hate, I’m glad for it; there’s precious few old-timey places left, I’m sick of the slick hipster crap. The only real complaint I have are the customers, it’s not cool to pick through Broccoli Beef and leave a vat full of broccoli only, nor is it cool to stare at me just because I’m overweight and this is my 4th plate. Go kindly **ck yourselves.

Once was enough. My husband and I were goofing around on McLoughlin(going to Harbor Freight, etc.) I was getting quite famished, a bit faint actually, so we needed a place to get inexpensive food in a pinch.(I’m vegan, so no McDonald’s.) We arrived, and the hostess was very abrupt, and all she said to us was«Fifteen dollar.» So we paid for our meal ahead of time. The look of the place was shabby and dated, but I tried not to judge a book by its cover, since I’ve been to other dive-looking buffets that were actually quite good. Now, I didn’t eat the meat, but what I did eat was either so-so or just plain bad. The vegetables were bland and undercooked, anything that was supposed to be hot and crispy was cold and tough or mushy. My husband tried the different meats and couldn’t finish his plate, and that’s extremely unusual for him.(He was quietly complaining the whole time and, of course, blaming it on me.) The food seemed to have been sitting out for a long time. The only edible part of our meal, sadly, was the salad bar, which in and of itself was nothing to write home about. The hostess wasn’t very warm when picking up our plates, but ironically was being very nice and chatty with an elderly couple whom I presumed must be regulars. She brought them drinks because the woman was handicapped. I was actually touched by her kindness toward these people, so then found it strange when she plopped down our fortune cookies on our table with little a word. The very worst part was the bathroom. Dingy, and one of the toilets had vomit in it, no joke! It’s a miracle that my hubby nor I got food poisoning.

Don’t go here. We paid up front and really thought about walking out after seeing the food. Knowing what I know now, after eating here, I would have paid the $ 15 it costs for two just to leave the place. 1. Food is not warm & has been sitting out for who knows how long 2. Place is very unclean 3. Options are limited I’m not exaggerating, do yourself a favor and go some place else. We(my bf and I) claim this place is the worst restaurant we’ve ever been to, ever. & I really hope we don’t get sick, especially after reading the other reviews!

the only downside is that the food is hit or miss as far as the options available that day and the quality of the food but the staff is great and overall the food is pretty good

Don’t do it. Unless you can eat your weight in fried biscuits with ice cream and butterscotch. But… seriously…just say no.

This is not the same as Panda Express. This place, Panda Buffet, is a hole in the wall place run as low grade as possible. The food is low quality buffet style food, but that’s not the main problem. The main problem is bad SANITATION. I never give places a 1 Star, but this is my duty so people don’t get sick. Everywhere I turned I saw red flags. These people don’t understand the concept of bare basic sanitation. Tables not clean, food serving not clean, food not changed out, and flies. I fear what’s happening in the kitchen. To top it off, I had place setting silverware I touched along with the napkin, but since I had already gotten a fork, the waitress came and picked up the stuff I touched and slid it to the next table as if it were clean. Never going back. I fear food poisoning here.

The worst chinese food I’ve ever had! Save yourself and go to the freezer section of a grocery store for better food. Their potstickers are almost inedibly bad and the rest of their food is incredibly bland. There are three good things though: Vault on tap, dessert [hard to screw up nearly pure sugar-based food], and the price. …Or maybe two good things if you consider that the price-to-taste ratio is about $ 5-to-toilet water.

After spending all day yesterday bent over the toilet with stomach pains… This place is only good if: 1– you’re a model and don’t want to eat for an entire day & maybe the next. 2– you’ve got an enemy and want to poison them. or 3– you’re the cheapest person on earth… Yes, I did eat here once in the name of Unilocal
