A no-frills phở restraunt near PCC’s Cascade campus. I tried the phở with meatballs and round beef and it was delicious.(However, next time, I’ll probably only order it with round beef.) My only complaint is that the service was on the slow side.

Best vegetarian phở in Portland. The 5 star spice is not overpowering & it’s not too sweet. Reasonably priced & very consistent.

Please stop using MSG. I love phở but I can’t eat it here. I get a severe reaction every time I eat phở here. Other restaurants that serve phở without all the MSG leave me feeling fine. I love the location and everything and have no complaints except for this. I feel terrible and disoriented and get this weird feeling for awhile after eating it. If they stopped using MSG, I would love to come back and eat more phở!

Favorite phở place in north portland! Close to home and the phở is always great. I’m bummed they are closed Sundays but have no complaints. I’ve always found the broth tasty. Pad Thai is a little heavy on the fish sauce but also good.

LAMEANDLAZYPHO. I ordered the deluxe Phở bowl and was very disappointed. The broth had little flavor, very little meat, and the accompanying sides were old and wilted. The service was attentive and the waitress was nice but the food failed miserably. The Phở broth had about as much depth as a kiddie pool. If you can’t make a decent broth, close shop and go home. What little meat was floating in the toilet bowl broth was old, low quality, and reminded me of roadkill. The pathetic bean sprouts were as limp as wet dish rag. The basil was about as fresh as 20 year old Twinkies. There are way better Phở joints in town. STAYAWAY!!!

I am a Phở-natic. I eat it basically weekly and have been to this restaurant twice. Unfortunately, both times have left me with a severe reaction to the amount of MSG they put in their broth. I wasn’t sure if the first time was related to what I was eating, so I gave it another try today. Boom. From my shoulder blades to the top of my head filled with pressure, my ears got hot, heart started racing, very bad headache and I felt like I was on the verge of passing out. I was worried that I may becoming allergic to Phở(life=over) but after doing some research, it’s the MSG. It’s been nearly 3 hours and I still feel the«pressure» in the back of my head and cheeks. There are several reviews with the same symptoms. Phở is so flavorful and great, there is no need to add that much MSG to make it «better». I won’t be returning to this establishment.

I love this place and can’t understand the bad reviews. Then again, I get the #18 — seafood soup — every time I go there. It’s ridiculously good.

We had vegetarian phở and spring rolls with peanut sauce. The phở was delicious in a Lance Armstrong sort of way(please read on). The peanut sauce was OK. Service was good, it was not filthy and the prices were reasonable. 20 minutes after consuming the lunch I felt a slight tingling headache up both sides of my head. I am not a person who gets many headaches. Oh God, I thought, my brain has sprung a leak and I’m going to die. But there was something vaguely familiar about that headache, like from decades ago. I put 2 and 2 together. It peaks at 20 minutes post prandial and subsides in about an hour. Yup. Unmistakable. The good ol’ MSG headache. MSG is to food what dope is to athletes. It makes so-so food taste intensely flavorful. Seriously Jasmine? Does anyone still use that stuff? Do I still have to ask? Otherwise you would have gotten 3 stars.

This phở makes me sick every time I eat it. Not sure if they add soy or use noodles with gluten. I have intolerances to both of those and don’t have issues with other restaurants phở. Unfortunately, I won’t be back until they clean up their ingredients. I tried this place twice and felt sick both times.

This place has long been an occasional neighborhood restaurant for us, but lately it seems to have had a significant upgrade in the food quality, taste, presentation, and the ambiance. We now go at least once a week. Try the Bun, especially the lemongrass with veggies or the BBQ Tofu. Yumm. Makes me want to head over right now. Give it a try. Reasonable prices and really tasty food. And I love the service there too !

I would recommend this place for sure. They have pretty flavorful food. Very fresh and tastey also. I ordered the steak and beef brisket soup. Can’t wait to try something new next time. Only gave it 4 stars as it did take a little long to prepare the food. But this is a good place. :)

The veggie phở was so delicious and flavorful — the broth was remarkably close to what I remember omni phở tasting like. They told me it was a veg broth and I am happy to believe them! I also ordered a lemongrass gluten(seitan, I believe) to eat for dinner. It was okay, but not nearly as good as the phở was. I wouldn’t call it a dive; the décor is plain and modest but it’s clean and bright. The food came relatively quickly. Overall, if I’m up that way again I’ll definitely be going back. And if I don’t find any vegan phở on the South side… I might go back anyway. =)

Chicken spring rolls are made with deli meat. I mean, can they at least try a *little* and cook some chicken. They were flavorless and just pretty gross. The beef Phở was decent, although the ratio of meat to noodles was less than I’ve had in most other Vietnamese restaurants. Overall – meh. Maybe get Phở to go here? Not great. Service was decent, too.

I’ve been going to this place for years and I love it. I’m vegetarian and their options are amazing and the service is great. I don’t know where people’s standards are at if they don’t like it.

I tried Phở for the first time with my girl friends tonight. I wasn’t sure what to expect, I got the special Phở noodle wonton and chicken fried rice. It was delicious! I wish there were more noodles in the phở if I had a compliant. I definitely would come back.

Ordered a phở. It costs $ 8.95. The quantity and quality of the beefs and phở were not that great for the price charged for the phở, the price is high compared to other Vietnamese restaurant. I don’t mind paying higher price for a bowl of phở, but the quality and quantity must be up to par, but I don’t think it was at all. The bean sprouts was not too fresh compared to other restaurants. The meats and the noodles were relatively tiny portion. The third thing I looked for is the flavor. The flavor of the broth was a bit too salty even though I preferred a salty base rather than sweat base. I think it will be better if fish sauce was reduced a little bit, that would be great.

Best veggie phở I’ve ever had! Try the curry one. I moved out of this neighborhood a few years ago but every time I’m nearby I get me some yummy phở. Nom nom

Been feeling like I am about to come down with a cold so was craving Phở since yesterday. Nothing like a giant bowl of Phở when feeling under the weather. This was my first visit to Phở Jasmine and I will absolutely be back many more times. I didn’t call ahead because I wanted to look over their menu. I decided to go with the vegetarian curry noodle Phở and ordered some steak and meatball something or other soup for the hubby. I placed my order for takeout and the woman who took my order offered me some hot tea while I waited for my food to be done. She said it was going to take about ten minutes, but I believe it was actually less. They were spot on with their to-go packaging. Everything was separated as to not get soggy on the way home and they included some hoisin sauce and fortune cookies as well. My husband enjoyed his soup enough to polish the bowl clean. My veggie curry soup was AMAZING! The broth was so tasty and it had two different kinds of tofu, zucchini, carrots, celery, and some other tasty veggies. I had enough soup to more than fill me up for dinner and will have a nice lunch tomorrow as well. This was the best Phở I have had in a long time… but to be fair I don’t go out for Phở all that often,(This very well may be changing as I fear I am now addicted to the curry soup).

From purely a logistical standpoint, Phở Jasmine and I are good pals. It’s close to my house, it’s fast, it’s cheap — all of which make for a take out match made in heaven. On those cold rainy nights nothing warms you up, soul and all, like a bowl of Phở. You know what else warms you up? Pajamas! Which just so happens to be my outfit of choice after a long day. Lucky for me Phở Jasmine can whip up a mean bowl of Phở with a quick phone call in about 10 mins or less. N Portland is a bit of a Phở wasteland with this exception. My order here is Veggie Phở, always. What can I say, I’m a creature of habit. Vegetables are pretty standard — cabbage, broccoli, cilantro, onions with a side of lime and bean sprouts. Tofu is, for better or for worse, Tofu. I’ve had other Phở that gets a little more adventurous with veggies and garlic which would be preferred. For $ 7, It’s good! It’s predictable! From what I can tell it seems fresh! Inside is bit of a yawn, nothing to see here folks! There are always tables as far as I can tell, but lunch might be crazier with the college students. I suggest getting stuff to go. Not that it’s unpleasant, there’s just nothing to it. Bring cash if you order is under $ 10 or be prepared to fork over .25 cents! 3 Stars might not look great, that dull orange-y color and not that shiny bright 5 star red, but I assure you it’s good and worth stopping by if you’re in a Phở’mood in the area. This is a three star review with an exclamation point, and smile and a thumbs up emoji.

Phoking awesome! Look, it’s not the most ‘authentic’ phở out there(if that’s your bag, book a flight to Ho Chi Minh and stop complaining), but it’s delicious, fast, and CHEAP. I mean, criminally cheap. It’s perfect on a cold, rainy day or if you’re feeling crappy. Plus, the service is always friendly and full of smiles. I can also vouch for the rest of the menu — pretty good kung pao chicken, decent pad thai, and a-ok rolls. If you live in NE, make this your phở spot.
