We love pizzasmith. Especially if you are coming out of a movie, its right there, and you get 2 bucks off your pizza making it a pretty competitive deal for an artisan style pie. I always start with a certain kind of pizza, and then just pile it on. They’ll put lots of cheese on it for you so don’t hold back!

I usually don’t write reviews, but if you are looking for pizza you need to try this place out. Great Pizza, they make their ingredients. Sausage is make not purchased. We will differently going back. Try the Lemon cookies, to die for, fresh mozzarella and all the fresh veggies. The bacon is pork belie that they cook then cut up. That is the best meat ever on a pizza.

Why am I a sucker for Pizzasmith’s 3-minute pizza that tastes like it was slow-cooked for days to grow every ingredient to its peak flavor maturity? Yes, exactly.

I like the concept of being able to create your own pizza. It’s like the Pizza version of a subway. The pizzas get cooked quickly in the woodfired oven. The only challenge is that the music is so loud sometimes that is hard for the employees to hear what toppings you’re trying to order. I’ve gone here two times and gotten two different types of pizza and both were delicious. I also split some of their fresh salads which are all excellent. I think it’s better than CPK down the street but wouldn’t say it’s amazing.

Love love love their pizza but the staff is kind of rude, says unlimited toppings but they roll eyes when you want extra cheese. Anyway it has great pizza and some good beer too. Top notch pie but wish they had more than one size

Pizzasmith has amazing, crispy, fluffy, chewy crust. I love that they have pesto as an option for sauce. The lunch size, 7″ pizza is perfect for a single person. I loaded mine with toppings(they called it a little mountain) and the crust held up really well.

Decent pizza. I would definitely say better quality than the other assembly line style pizza place near New Seasons. Ingredients were better quality and there was a better selection. My only complaint would be that my crust was a bit soggy in the middle and I even asked for it to be well done. For the same price I’d prefer to use a coupon and get some Papa Murphy’s. I’d eat it again if someone was paying… Update: Went again and was more impressed. I ordered a pie off the menu rather than building one and the crust came out a bit more crisp. Quality of ingredients is high and you can get in and out fairly quickly if you’re getting a pizza to go.

I’ve eaten here four times before and everything I’ve ordered has been delicious. Due to allergies, I have to order gluten-free pizza and I have never gotten sick from eating pizza cooked in their establishment. Today, there were just a couple of things that went wrong with my experience, and when I brought them to Josh the manager’s attention, he graciously accepted the feedback and apologized for what went wrong. He helped move me to another table and the staff surprised me with a freshly baked warm cookie as an apology. I offered it to another guest, because the staff didn’t know I can’t have gluten. I was touched that they did this for me, and I was happy I could bless someone else with the cookie! Because my pizza was messed up, Josh offered me any salad I wanted«on the house.» He also gave me a refund; a $ 5 off coupon and a box with a t-shirt, bandana and free pizza coupon! I mean, it doesn’t get more generous than this! The manager was so kind to me, he let me hug him. I’d been having a stressful day, and his kindness made me emotional. Every single staff member acknowledged me; made me feel special; greeted me; and treated me kindly as they smiled. As I left, overwhelmed with gratitude, Josh was huddling with his team, using the mishap as a teaching opportunity. The customer service at this location is outstanding and it’s because Josh sets the tone for the restaurant. He genuinely cares about his staff and the customer. I live far away from this restaurant, but I will definitely continue to dine here whenever I am in this part of town.

As far as quasi DIY pizza places go Pizzasmith is IMHO the top choice. Mod is 2nd& Blaze is a hideous 3rd. Since I haven’t visited other pizza places like this but having had Mod & Pizzasmith several times I’ll compare between the 2 for this review. Pizzasmith has fresher more quality ingredients, better crust, and the staff is very clean & friendly. Tip: Ask for your pie to be extra crispy after you give your name. Also have them put sea salt on the pie. Mod on the other hand is fine but more noisy, more funky, and the pizza crust & toppings don’t seem as fresh. Pizzasmith at Bridgeport Village is a great place to go with friends or even on a casual date. My wife & I have liked every pie & always have leftovers. Yum!

I’m a big fan of fast pizza. Mod Pizza was the first u was aware of, and I’m a fan. Then I found Pieology and it was not near as good as Mod Pizza. This week we found Pizzasmith and honestly it’s better than Mod. Great pizza, great staff, great location. We will be back.

I quite enjoyed this place. It’s like Pieology or The Pizza Press or… well, it’s like any of those personal, made-to-order pizza places that are oh, so popular right now, because they’re awesome. And PIZZA!(Duh.) The inside is fairly modern and pretty industrial looking with metal and wood. The employees were friendly. They have a lunch special, which we enjoyed, because we came at the right time. They are very generous with their salads, and you can watch them make all of your food. They recycle and compost, which is very nice. Someone is there to help you sort your trash, and the place is clean. What more could you ask for? Would I visit this establishment again? Yes.

I would say the flavor is okay, just pizza. The good thing is you could choose your own ingredients on your pizza and you could also choose a specific one from the menu. I got half Meat at Pizzasmith and half vegie pizza. The vegie pizza has less vegetables than I expected, olive oil based, flavor okay. Environment ok also.

It’s like the subway sandwich of pizza parties. You choose your ingredients as you slide down the line. They do it in front of you. I find this innovative. It’s also fast.(more about this later) Good selection of beers. Good selection of gourmet ingredients. The salads look good. I had the Farro and spinach and I loved it. The crust is a little thick, which leads to it being a bit soggy. They play techno or fast beat music a bit extra loud and they keep the place cold to rush you out and keep tables open. If I’m there at the shopping mall again, I’ll eat there, but I’ll ask for the pizza to be extra cooked. It is still much better than PF Changs, but worse than Sinju, so if you’re stuck at Bridgeport mall looking for a meal, bear this in mind. The pizza isn’t great cold. It’s OK.

Great new addition to Bridgeport Village! The concept is great, and the pizzas we had were very tasty. It took a while to get the pizzas ordered — in fact it probably took longer to get them«built» than it took to cook them. There was no line since it was early but it still took a while to get our 3 pizzas made. I had the B&B(Brussels & Bacon) but they were out of caramelized onions — since it was early they hadn’t finished making them yet. I liked the pizza but probably would have loved it more with the caramelized onions on it. Oh well, next time. The staff working needs a little more time as a team as they were a little disorganized getting things made. Son had a «craft your own» with pepperoni & sausage, and hubby had the Saucy Hen, which is BBQ sauce and chicken and some veggies. The Saucy Hen was very wet with sauce even after baking. I think I’d order that one with light sauce next time. The crusts are thin and crisp, which is the way I like my pizza. Flavorwise, the crust was okay, but not a standout for me. It doesn’t take long to cook a thin crust pizza in a 700 °F oven, so they were at our table shortly after we paid and sat down, which is great. We’ll be back for sure. The salads I saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious too, and I like that you can custom-make your pizza and actually see how much stuff they’re putting on it. They did a great job designing the restaurant too, and hired a good designer for all the graphics. It all looks sleek and warm and inviting and hip. Great concept!
