Not only phenomenal coffee @pdxroasting but remarkable customer service and care for some random California people who love this coffee! Thank you!!!

This place is a diamond in the rough. The curbside appeal leaves much to be desired but once inside you immediately forget about it. The décor is lovely and has a modern yet rustic feel. There are windows into the brewing process which is pretty neat. I have gone here twice for the cold brew — both times the coffee was fantastic and the barista was very friendly. If you are looking for a delicious cold brew and chill spot this is your place. I want to try the lavender latte and the mocha island latte in the future!

I really appreciated being able to make an appointment for a tour and tasting/cupping. It was super informative, but not too much info for a novice. This meant a lot to me after coming from out of town and having a lot of trouble with a different place that does cuppings.

This out-of-the-way little coffee spot is one of my favorite places to refuel when passing through the SE industrial section of PDX. The baristas here are super cool and they always serve an excellent mug of «Christian crank» to get the day going. If you don’t like super-crowdedness and savor solitude, good beats and good cup of joe, visit this place. You won’t be disappointed.

I’d been wanting to try their coffee. It’s not easy as they close on weekend. I had the nitro brew, and man! It was very good. Very smooth and not better at all. The décor is modern and awesome. We love it!

I have been here a handful of times and the experience is always a delight. The manager, Cari, has always made my coffee and the amount of care she puts into each drink is evident. She really knows her stuff and is always happy to talk about coffee. Her knowledge is impressive. She has always been super nice and professional and makes a damn good cup of coffee. I would highly recommend Portland roasting!

Worst customer service ever. Went in at 4pm on a Monday to open a wholesale account and buy some beans for my coffee shop. 5 people in the office twiddling their thumbs and no one could sell me beans. Went to the coffee shop, nice boys but could not sell me wholesale beans. Called the sales rep. Big mistake; told me that he couldn’t set up a wholesale account because he didnt know what kind of espresso machine i was using then told me to go the grocery store to buy my beans and get back to him when I had more time(to jump through his stupid, condescending hoops). I honestly thought I could buy some beans from a business that sells beans but unfortunately these snobs don’t sell you beans unless your cool enough or submit your integrity to their bull shit protocols. Totoally disappointed and honestly a little pissed off that their snobby bullshit came before selling their beans to someone who needed to buy some for the wellbeing of their business. It was a totoally bitter experience and I never did have their coffee.

As this roaster is in my neighborhood I’ll splurge for an Americano once a week or so. They have a really good thing going on here. The coffee is good and is fairly priced. So are the baked goods they have brought over from a local joint. I’ll be back. Probably this week.

Just left a review about how much I enjoy Portland Roasting coffee at my local F&B, so I figured I’d review the actual place itself as well. My buddy Tim recommended we try it last summer during a couple of really hot days because they have A/C. It’s a little tucked away so not exactly something you’d discover on the street. Very cozy, nice baristas, excellent coffee.

Pretty neat place and story about the owners. We tried a chemex and kalita wave and enjoyed the kalita wave.

Wow, the place was a bit too classy, almost like a bar, in fact it has bar stools. Coffee is good, no complains. Barista redid my drink for me because he accidentally forgot to use soy instead. Sure I’ll return if I’m in the area.

Coffee gets an easy 5 stars. The hideous, flamboyant a-hole that works the counter at the SE7th location brings it down to 2 stars. Can’t tell if he hates people or is just in the wrong line of work, but someone of this caliber should never have been given a job dealing with the public and representing your business. Bad hire. Bad review.

I’ve been ordering from Portland Roasting for a while. The consistency of their coffee is unparalleled, and the smoothness from the freshness of the roast is incredible. Their prices are very fair, compared to other big name roasters. I love how obsessive they are about the quality of their products. I had to make a phone call to them to «troubleshoot» my brewing process and was astonished not only at the knowledge of the person on the phone, but his willingness to help me get it «perfect» and follow up with me afterwards. He gave me his personal email address and told me to keep in touch with him to share my results and we could tweak it more from there. Way to go! How about that for service?! Portland Roasting will have my business for many years to come.

I only discovered Portland Roasting a month ago, but it has become my favorite new coffee! I still love Stumptown and other local roasts, but the hemp latte they make on-site in their relative new, super-cute café is the best I’ve ever had. The pour-overs are made with delicate, supreme care. They have a nice little selection of pastries, as well. The staff have always been super nice and good at recommending coffees to sit and drink and beans to go. I love the décor. There’s free Wi-Fi, too.

Looking for a decent coffee in the industrial district this place is worth a look! This little gem was located right next to our hotel in Portland. We were wandering around the area on the first day we arrived and decided to drop in to try their coffee. We were greeted by a friendly barista who suggested a coffee for me. The coffee was exactly to my tasting and the location was neat in the sense that it appeared to be one of their main roasting/distributions centres. Next to the bar was their«lab» where they tested their coffees as well as their meeting room. We went back there the morning we left for a quick bite to eat. Unfortunately their coffees were better than their pastries, but I wouldn’t fault them on that.

Bought this coffe on sale at New Seasons. It is very smooth and has a lovely flavor, but I bought the«dark french roast» and it was not particularly strong at all. Had to add a few more scoops in my pot just to get the same kind of strength as the other roasters in town. Probably a great coffee to please all-round coffee drinkers, but not those who like a cup to put hair on their chests.

Portland Roasting has supplied coffee for our office events in the past and we’ve enjoyed drinking them at various networking events around town as well. They have really great drip coffee and their service is fabulous. If you’re having a big event and you need high quality coffee at great prices then this should be your company of choice.
