This places rocks. Great rentals especially lenses. If you rent in Friday for a high end shoot, you keep the lens and use it for your own art film shoots over the weekend. Pro photo supports great causes like #womeninfilm and #PFF.

— Context: As part of a larger gift, I was trying to print a 4×6(just one!!) photo for my girlfriend as a gift for our anniversary. I wanted to try a local place that would be a little nicer than a Walgreens kiosk — Worst customer service I could imagine — think of a bad movie script and this is 10 times worse — If could give them negative stars, I would. Really disappointing, because this place sounded cool… until they opened their mouths and wasted an hour of my time — They were ready bent out of shape and put out that I needed a rush($ 5…) order for my one 4×6 print. I had to ask the gal to repeat herself when she said to come back in an hour… I obliged, went down the street to grab some flowers, and returned 30 minutes later, with fingers crossed that somehow she found it within herself to take 30 seconds and print out my 4×6 picture of my girlfriend and I at the beach. I sat there for 30 minutes… then the younger guy(there was a third worker there, a male who was older) came out and told me,(acted like a total and complete prick) that their machine was broken and there was nothing they could do for me.(!!!) — Both the gal and the younger guy in there treated me like absolute garbage! It was unbelievable! Super, super sarcastic, short, disinterested and overall rude. I can’t speak to the quality of their work, but I can attest to the(at least perceived) character of the people running the photo lab… I will never in a million years give them my business and I suggest you look elsewhere, too

The lady who works in this place was a pleasant surprise to me, especially after the crummy experience I had from the Pro Photo Supply camera store on 19th and Marshall. All I wanted to know was if I could get my disposable camera developed and how much would it be. Simple right? Yes, the answer is yes. Anyhow the lady at the lab answered easy peasy, gave me some insight to developing and was just open to me and sweet. SHe granted me my service, and I was one my way. This guy was too occupide to answer my simple question, even though I told him it was a simple quick question.

I recently had several rolls of 35 mm and 120 film processed and scanned here. Overall it was a good experience, it took about 10 days. The only bummer, I felt like it was on the expensive side.

Ugh, I hate to do this, but I have to. Hopefully I can save others some pain(and money). I got two 6×9 fine art prints for a client. The website says they can print any size(which is awesome!) less than 5ft x 39ft. They can. It also says you’ll be charged $ 21/sq ft. You won’t, not always. If you print any size smaller than 8.5×11…you will be charged the price of an 8.5×11… So my two 6×9’s were both treated like 8.5×11’s. There was no warning about this on the website, no email with a quote, no nothing. I strongly suggest a better process for handling sizes like this, maybe give a price quote before the photos are printed? If I had known this I would have either: a) Gotten them printed at a size that maximizes the surface area of a 8.5×11 sheet of paper b) Quoted my client a higher price for the prints. I pretty much broke even, at best, on these prints. That sucks. Now that I know how the pricing works, this won’t happen again. But there is no way you could know this unless it happened to you or you read this review.

For my photography business I need quality fine art prints for my clients. I have not found a better place in town for high quality, timely, helpful and consistent great service. I trust and know the team at Pro Photo will always come through. They work hard and are great at what they do. I wish they had another store in the SE, but it is always worth the drive.

We’ve been customers of the lab at Pro Photo for a little over a year, and have had close to 50 rolls of film developed during this time. We can always count on consistency, and we’ve been very pleased with the results. We love how affordable the processing is. They’ve always delivered when they say they will, and even the film they have to send out is always processed quickly. After a few months of having them scan our negatives, we finally decided to invest in our own scanner … while the processing of film is very affordable, we were not very happy with the price or quality of the scans onto DVD. Our B&W scans were often full of dust, and we’ve spent a lot of time in Photoshop correcting the scans. The only other issue is with one or two of their staff members. We are professional photographers(both film & digital), and yet, we feel like we’re being talked down to at times. After dropping off 5 rolls of our favorite 120 fim, we were told by the employee that he’s «not sure why anyone would ever shoot with this film». I’m not a huge fan of unsolicited advice. We’re thankful their services are awesome … Seriously, it makes dealing with the occasionally-pushy employee worth it. We will totally continue having them develop our 35 mm &120 negatives, and I am sure they’ll do a great job.

I was extremely disappointed in the customer service here. I called about getting a few specialty photos done, one on canvas and one on metal. I wanted to get some info about the process before I made the 45 minute drive down there. I was told to just put the photos on a thumb drive and then when I got down there we could take a look and see how they would be on the final product. When I got down there I then expected to get the further information and to be thoroughly helped to get the best product possible. I don’t know much about photo properties and so was a bit confused when there was a limit to how big the photos could be blown up because my husband had made it seem that these could get very big. So I was asking a lot of questions to make sure I understood. It turned out that I had to go back home and crop the picture before we could go any further(which if that could have been explained on the phone I could have been saved a trip). She was so annoyed that I asked questions and instead of just explaining it she belittled me by saying«its just simple math» regarding the cropping. She did not at all pull the pics up on the computer so we could see how they would look so don’t know why I bothered with that… I could have just sent them in by their website. I wanted to support a local business but it was not worth ruining my excitement over my husbands gift. I know they were busy but that is no excuse for not helping someone that you might gain future business from. I won’t be going somewhere that makes me feel like an idiot that’s for sure.
