PURE Nail Bar & Organic Spa

My friend and I decided to spontaneously get our nails done. We called Pure Nail Bar to see if they had any availability for walk-​ins. The lady didn’t quite said «yes» on the telephone, but asked for my name and how soon we can get there. I told her we can get be there in 15 minutes and she said «okay, see you then.» I assumed the answer was «yes.»
When my friend and I arrived at the salon, there were absolutely NO customers at all. We both were quickly asked what type of manicure we would like and was seated down. My friend and I choose the color polish we wanted and we quickly got our manicures started. We both were offered tea or water. Our nail technician were quiet, nice and skillful compare to others who tend to ignore their clients and talk among themselves or be on the phone. A nice treat this nail salon offers is a neck and shoulder massage after your manicure, which you don’t often receive at most nail salons.
The ambiance is quite soothing as the salon has relaxing music playing in the background (though during our session the owner (?) was in the back talking to her friend via on her tablet).
As we were leaving the nail salon I noticed a sign for student discount, which I wish I had saw prior and would’ve mentioned it to them. Overall, I would recommend going back to get another manicure.

I have been to this salon several times now and highly recommend it to any one who wants a quality pedicure. I have had an enjoyable experience every time. I’ve tried all the different pedicures they offer. The hot stone massage is absolutely wonderful. They take their time with the whole process and never rush. The atmosphere is clean and very pleasant. The salon is nicely fragrant and the music is soft and relaxing. My toes look great when finished. And the prices are reasonable. I have found it best to make an appointment ahead of time. I love this place!

Ughhh 20 to 25 for a fill is way to high for a regular acrylic. I asked the lady if she was high cause no way is that a reasonable price. I have never gone anywhere and have had to pay that price, that is crazy. I even asked for both prices she said fill 20 to 25 and a full set 25. Lol I kept asking her, are you sure? Thinking she misunderstood me. That’s way to high so I will never be going there. Plus she was rude as hell.

I was disappointed with the quality of the pedicure and the wine. Great in theory, not so much in practice.

Wonderful little salon! I have been here half a dozen times over the past year – and I really prefer Pure to any other comparably priced nail salon in Portland (and even to several of the more expensive ones). The ladies have greeted me warmly and sincerely, like an old friend, each time I have come in. I think they do a great pedi – both gel and regular – and their five bucks off for students truly makes this an obvious choice.

Got a Gel Mani/​Pedi. Staff was friendly. The girl who did my pedi did a great job on my French tips. However, on my mani part, she did go a little overboard on the filing. The glass of wine was nice, the neck message during the manicure was nice, however I paid a ton of money for that extra pedi and I did not get a second message, you might as well get the basic one. Will I go back, yes, I take solace in the fact that their products are not as harsh and chemical packed as the others. I will go back but not spend as much money on buying the extras.

This will be our new spot. We have been on the hunt since our other place got too busy to fit us in at our own convenience. It’s closer to home, too!
Fewer, good quality chairs, so it’s much quieter and a large tv for you to zone out on while you bliss out. Really sweet techs and a lasting pedi.
The hot stones are magical and it looks like they do fabulous nails, too! Something that is not equal in every salon…

Great place for mani and padi, Kim dose the best job. The place it’s very nice and clean and staff are very friendly .
I wouldn’t recommend it to false nails (acrylic and gel).

I drive by this place on my way to work everyday and decided to give it a try for my two young daughters very first pedicure experience. When we first got started, my youngest daughter saw the nail tech’s ‘tools’ (various clippers, metal cuticle tools, etc) and I think she thought it was going to be painful, so she freaked out and cried. All the nail techs were so sweet, gave her hugs and got her a cup of apple juice… very concerned that she wasn’t happy. Long story short, my youngest got over her fear and eventually got the pedicure with us. They even topped it off for my daughters by adding flower art and glitter to their nails. My girls left wanting to go back the next day! I was super impressed by their customer service.
As far as the pedicures go, I got the Signature Pedicure with a hot stone massage, paraffin wax, etc. SO relaxing!!! And reasonably priced! I’ve never had the hot stone massage done during a pedicure before. They took their time and I felt nothing was rushed… even when two big groups came in later on during our service. I’ve been to another nail place just down the road and felt this place was much more ”intimate’ and easier to relax at. I will definitely be back!

I went with a friend yesterday to get the ultimate pedicure. The person giving my pedicure left to give a manicure for over 15 min. This entire time my friend got massaged and attended to. While I just sat there. Finally my lady came back and finished up my pedicure finishing before my friend. I was still charged the same amount. I will not go back:(

Based on reviews I came here a few days ago.
Not impressed with their work. I must say it took three times to fix nails. They were very nice about it though.
First, my one thumb nail was cut too short and shapes of my nails were not matching. Can’t they see that???
They took all work off started again. They fixed that, then, nail polish smudged and had to do over.
Finally had shellac one color with glitter polish on top. Thought it was ok, but now I see imperfections and not totally satisfied.
I have shorter nails than I wanted but its ok. At least they are evenly shaped.
I didn’t feel they deserved a tip based on the poor workmanship.
They are sweet and did fix mistakes, but why I had to point it out, I don’t know.
Won’t go back. Sorry.

Very nice staff that took me as a walk last minute. I got a pedicure and manicure and the ladies did an excellent job. In fact, it’s almost 2 months later and my toes still look good.
Great manicure with beautiful colors to choose from but I am sad to report that the gel didn’t last very long, maybe a 8 days before the sides started to peel. Usually I can get at least 12.

I went here for my birthday and I was absolutely blown away. I thought I would get a simple facial and mani pedi, but I got so much more. Every step of the way they were professional, curteous and the spa was very clean. I got a relaxing, fantastic facial with a scalp, hand and foot massage. Then, I had a manicure and pedicure with an amazing massage with hot towels and rocks, finishing off with parafin wax. I forgot to mention I had a cool glass of white wine the entire time. The women there were so nice and did such a wonderful job I will definitely be back. I felt like a queen, and walked out floating on air. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Love these ladies and this salon! Got a gel mani today and the 60 min facial… worth every penny! They use great products and so relaxing!

Hoping that Pure would support my child’s harvest carnival at school… I thought I would try this place… I like this place… The gal was a little rough at first but didn’t seem to take offense to my jumpiness. And adjusted accordingly. The salon was clean and smelled good.

Great service, great prices, and my toes still look great 2 weeks later. :)

PURE was the best experience I’ve ever had in a nail salon!
Whenever I get a pedicure, I ask for the technician not to cut my cuticles and it never works. They never listen. At PURE, I was truly heard!
Not only did they do exactly as I’d requested, but the space was very clean, the prices reasonable, and the service was incredible! So friendly and thorough! My toenails look beautiful!!!
Of note: They have People magazine, which is awesome; their massage chairs really work!, they were so accommodating, and the products are more natural than other nail salons.
I love PURE, and will definitely be going back!

I was visiting my daughter, who lives walking distance to this salon. She wanted to try Gels on her nails… AND never had a pedicure (how could she be my daughter!).
Not only did she have both done SO did I.
I’ve been going to salons since the 1970, s and this one was the most enjoyable. The staff was over the top friendly the service was like none I have ever received.
Now I want to not only go to Portland to see my sweet family BUT also get my nails done.

For my very first «full set» I came to this salon. The ladies were all very friendly and
made my visit very relaxing. They even offered wine. Yes, WINE! With their 20% off promo I couldn’t resist, so I got myself a little pampering. They are in my neighborhood which is a plus and not over crowded/​cramped like most places are. I will definitely be going back here for more.
