Had a lovely Vietnamese lady help me – she dyed my hair a beautiful dark color, her strong little fingers felt great on my scalp for the shampoo/condition, and the cut was great! I asked for bangs, which I was hesitant about doing, since I’ve had people really screw up my hair trying to do bangs… but she did a very nice job. No regrets!

I came in for a haircut and pedicure today. A Burmese lady helped me. She was nice but there was a language barrier. It didn’t feel like it at first because her accent was quite light. Long story short, she couldn’t understand what I was telling her about how I want my hair cut. After a couple corrections, my hair turned out ok. For $ 12, I wouldn’t expect better. What really surprised me was that she charged me $ 10 for straightening my hair. Seriously?! I didn’t ask for it. She asked if it was ok to straighten my hair and I let her thinking maybe it helps her gauge the evenness better. She never said anything about a $ 10 charge. I looked at their price list later an noticed«Special Styling $ 10 and up.» There was definitely nothing special about it. The pedicure was horrible. She was rough and she scrubbed the sole of my feet with the pumice stone. I nearly kicked her out of reflex each time she did it. My feet turned out more cracked and scaley than before I had the pedicure. It seemed like she just lifted the dry skin and left them there. I found out later after the lotion wore off. The pedicure was also unsanitary. She didn’t clean the tub and she used the same spatula that was on my feet and left it back in that jar of goo that they likely used on numerous previous customers. I asked to speak with the manager/owner but she’s only there on Sunday supposedly.
