Horrible service. Waited 90 minutes and they barely acknowledged us. Decent bartender who tried to help but they clearly aren’t worried about people having a halfway decent dinning experience.

If I could, I would give this place 20 stars. The beer is seriously awesome. Sister Skookum, Cherry Springer, Session Ale, and this new Mr Powell… Every one, and I mean every single one of their beers are on point and the bartenders are legit too. Extremely knowledgable guys that are prompt and serious about what they do. I haven’t tried much food except for the fried chicken, it was so good I’m not trying anything else either. I don’t care if I gain 20 pounds hanging out here and filling growlers. I will have a giant smile on my big fat face without a care in the world! Beer me!

Have been several times and for the part it was a good experience. This most recent visit there were four of us. Three of us ordered burgers. All three were raw. Mentioned it to the waiter and pretty unconcerned. Won’t be back anytime soon.

I like the food and cider — just not the attitude from the server when I asked if you guys had GF buns. If you have cider and Mark GF items on your menu, I’m not sure you can expect people to NOT reasonably expect you could get a GF bun for your burger. Love the juniper cider, just not the rude attitude!(Update: RE the unsolicited message I received from a «rogue» someone. Don’t EXPECT a good tip if you don’t RESPECT your guests — get over yourself. I have heard other people say they have experienced negative attitudes as well. Take feedback for what it is and use it to improve — like any good business.)

Great location, amazing food and flight of all beers & ciders! Pickle plate was simple yet refreshing, the mussels fritas were also a hit! Definitely will visit again when back in the area.

I’ve been here twice I believe and have enjoyed eating here. Both times I had the black bean beet burger and it is surprisingly tasty! The menu isn’t very complicated as the seem to mainly focus on burgers. Lately, I’ve not been much of a beer person, but I had cider last time and it was good. Also, the pitchers were $ 9 — even for a pitcher of cider! What a deal — and for that I’m bumping up my rating to 5 stars!

I did a tasting flight of 12 beers with my bff and had a lot of fun. Since I don’t have a refined palette, it was really nice being able to taste so many beers back to back. I was able to compare and contrast them and really see which ones I liked. Her favorite was the Vanilla Bourbon Cream Ale and I favored the Woodboy IPA. The Skookum was interesting because it had notes of banana, which I don’t care much for, but tasted really interesting in a beer! I also enjoyed the Hairy Knuckle Stout and I don’t normally like stouts. I’d love to come back and try their ciders. All of the staff were chill and the atmosphere was friendly.

We live close by and thought this would be a good option, however, we were mistaken. Our food took a long time to arrive, and it was raw. Literally raw hamburgers. Not rare, but raw. It seemed as if the burger was only touched to the griddle, and flipped once. They tried to butter us up with a free desert, but not worth it. Never again.

Didn’t even get a chance to taste their beer… A pity. Entrance and bar are one and the same. So we sat down in the bar area and proceeded to be ignored by the tall blonde girl working the bar. She walked by a few times helping others and didn’t even acknowledge us. The older group at the adjacent table got lots of attention even some tasters while we sat… Thirsty. Watched the minutes tick by and finally… Ran out of patience and took out business elsewhere up the street. Sasquatch: you may get another chance but for the moment you’ve been boycotted by this group of beer lovers. What a shame…

The beer, location and ambiance would be a five star review. Unfortunately the bartender dropped this review to two stars. Basically, if you are not a nice, positive person please change careers. Don’t drag down the business you work for because you may be having a bad day… check that at the door my man. If this wasn’t a one off thing and your whole shtick is being an ass, well then you’re doing it wrong. Sweet beanie and flannel though, you do in fact dress the Sasquatch brand.

I was a little reluctant to write this review, because I was afraid our favorite little secret spot would be discovered by the rest of portland. My husband and I LOVE Sasquatch! It’s one of our all time favorite places to go and to take visiting friends. Always yummy food, the beers are super tasty and the staff are fun and attentive. They mix things up now and again, so there is usual something new and tasty on the menu! We just moved to the NE side of town and are hoping they will build a satellite brewery stumbling distance from our new place! For now we just have to make the trip across the river for our Sasquatch brews!

We came here for dinner while we visited the Portland area in December. This little brewery should be on the map when it comes to food, service and drinks. I was pleasantly surprised! When you walk in, you walk directly into the small bar area but then to your left, is seating in a restaurant area. We had our children with us so we sat inside the restaurant and had dinner. We’re from San Diego and have a craft beer explosion of our own going on, needless to say it take a lot these days to impress with a beer menu, but this place managed too. I did a make your own cider flight and my husband had 2 beers off the menu(I’m not sure what they were but he was mumbling about how good they were). For an appetizer we had the Kimchee pickles(loved the sour flavor of these with ailoi). I had the pappadelle bolognese and husband had the burger. I had a bite of the burger and it was good. But the pappardelle, fantastic. It was cold and rainy and seriously the perfect entrée for the evening. I couldn’t believe how fresh it tasted. Not what I expected from a little brew pub on the SW side for sure. We’ll be back next time for sure!

Stellar food and service. Beer is top notch. I’ve been here a handful of times. It’s a cozy beer tavern that can get quite packed. One of my favorite beers is their WoodBoy IPA — A traditional NW hoppy IPA. The food menu is pretty diverse but not too busy. Mac n Cheese all the way. I like their Charlie Mac which switches up ingredients and toppings. Like different cheeses. It’s usually much more biting and flavorful than the basic mac. Portions are fair and usual market pricing. I will often try a specialty/one off brew. The other night I had their SassQuatch Pumpkin beer(well I know it had a clever name), nice malt, not too sweet, but def. a bit of pumpkin flavor. I’d recommend. There is a small bar you can sit at or dine in or there is plenty of seating in the restaurant. It can get very noisy and a bit crammed if there’s some vocal children. A bit of a wait on a NYE pre-dinner, but that’s to be expected. Sometimes they have funny hours, on holiday’s or are completely shut — - so beware. Good cider line up, too. They recently started producing their own, so look for New West Cider if you want to support Sasquatch Brewing. Great building.

I really enjoyed this place. Great Beer selection, especially for the ladies who enjoy ciders. They had a passionfruit cider and a pumpkin spiced cider/beer. I tried a few of their beers and they accompanied my amazing burger beautifully. Prepare for a wait. The annoying part is waiting, standing in a tight lobby entrance while there are empty tables. I would rather sit and wait at an empty table with my beer and be told that it will be a while before we are served, then wait in a tight entryway with the servers needing that area to operate. Just would make more sense. I understand that the kitchen gets backed up so not much to do in that case. It was however a great experience.

Gastropub Goodness! I know how you feel. The word Gastropub comes up in conversation and you want to roll your eyes and grab another drink… fast! Then comes Sasquatch and you will that drink you’re running to grab… will be here. Bar none one of the best pubs in Portland period. While the West side isn’t known for great pubs, this one fits the bill quite nicely. Set down in the woods on Capitol Highway, they have an amazing location with an outdoor deck built around the entire back of the restaurant. You get great views, and it gives you the feel of visiting your crazy Uncle that built a modern day tree house. I’ve been several times for Happy Hour and never has it disappointed me. This is a brew pub, and they make some amazing beers. I highly recommend trying a beer flight to get a good experience. Their IPA is outstanding. Very strong, very hoppy, and just the right amount of pine and citrus to keep me coming back. Their food is really special too, and certainly a big step above your average pub fare. Sasquatch has a nice Southern style menu with a sustainable, organic Northwest twist. My favorite so far is their house made pretzel with mustard, a stellar hummus like spread with fresh veg and grilled bread, and the best house cut fries with a tangy red sauce I can’t quite put my finger on. I’ve also done dinner here, and being a vegetarian looking over a meat heavy menu, I’m glad they offered a nice veggie burger they make in-house with a very well designed beet/black bean mixture. Really filling and full on flavor. Really a special place here, and one that gets way overlooked in my opinion. It’s hidden away from the upper part of Capitol Hwy and Barbur Blvd. area. So, next time you’re stuck in traffic at 4pm desperately trying to get on the freeway so you can get stuck there too, make a beeline for Capitol Hwy and keep on going. You’ll see the Sasquatch and you’ll be very happy. Parking can be a tricky issue here. It’s street only, and if they’re busy as well as the surrounding places, you’ll have to walk a ways… but it’s worth it!

Almost 5 stars, but I save that for a real«WOW» experience. Great beer and fantastic food. I drove by and always noticed the crowds on Weekends. If you go be ready for the wait and service sacrifices that come with the place being packed. On a week night for dinner, it’s amazing. Go and check it out!!!
