Dropped in this morning to get a software product. There was some price confusion. A very pleasant young lady named Vanessa patiently helped get it worked out, assisting me in making the right purchase. She was kind and thoughtful and went the extra mile. There are a lot of Staples stores. There are a lot of stores that sell the same products. Customer service like this is uncommon. Thanks Vanessa.

This Staples averages by being everywhere from plain good to plain ridiculous. There is all sorts of office items, even extending out to clearance video games you might be so inclined to play. Prices are all over the map, mostly being the cause of the variation in experience. I walked in during my search for a good bargain. Things in the clearance section seemed no cheaper than regular, offering absolutely zero savings help whatsoever, especially on memory cards. I did find a set of bookmarks that I can use for studying at fifty cents total, less than the price with shipping online. Other customers were very slow at the checkout counter. Things are sometimes inexpensive, but often not, though the variety is exceptional. Staples is here if you cannot wait a few days to improve your office.

Jessica and Ruben were amazing! Super attentive, polite, and helpful. The assisted me with ordering a pack of biz cards and they turned out great and under budget thanks to a special web promo.

We were in a hurry and looking for really good strapping tape. We asked for help and the nice young woman walked us to where their tape selection was. She made recommendations and we’re out the door in two and a half minutes. What more do you need from a store that specializes in office supplies? They had what we wanted. We recieved excellent customer service and we spent minimal time gwtting in and out. Overall a five star experience from our perspective.

Generally have had good luck at this location, but not so today. I called about getting a large copy of a construction plan and was assured I could come right over and have it done. I was there within 10 minutes. When I arrived I was approached by a young woman who ask what I needed. I told her I had called about getting a copy of one page of the large plan I was holding. She said she had two other boxes ahead of me, and could do it «later tonight.» Because it was around 9am and I had called ahead because of the need of a quick turnaround, I responded that I really needed it now. Her response was«Then have a nice day.» I was dismissed completely. I drove the the FEDEX Office place by Mall 205 and even though they were twice as busy as Staples, they helped me right away. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Moral of the story is, only go to staples if you don’t need customer service or better yet, order it on-line.

I bought an Epson All In One Printer from this place. I wouldn’t buy a paper clip from them again, some of the most clueless, rude sales people, ones name is like«NORVAL» or something like that. When I bought it they said it had certain features I was looking for, got home, called and got a guy in the«tech booth» that was worthless as you know what and said I’d have to contact Epson for any support, yet this is the same person that told me it had the features I wanted. Went back there again 4÷26÷13 and got the same cold shoulder, could care less attitude from this same sales person. I’ll be curious if Staples Corporate will react the same way. I’d never go to this or any Staples company again Nor will my company. Glad there is an OfficeMax close by.

I just found this an odd shopping experience on this day. A Sunday, and I was staying in the PDX airport area and happen to stumble upon something I really wanted to buy before heading up back home. I used their online site to check if they had stock(bought a Google Nexus 7 if you do want to know!) and this store was the closest to where I was staying. I called when they opened, just to verify they had stock. They did, yet to make sure I asked them to hold just one, and they wouldn’t, at the same time they wouldn’t tell me how many they had in inventory, I advised that I would be over there in 20 minutes(and I was actually there in 15!) and they still wouldn’t budge. Getting here your welcomed to this brand spanking new strip mall, tons of parking all around, and I quickly darted into the store. It was almost impossible to find any help in here. Sunday morning, there were two people at the till helping the line of people that were ready to pay. I was in ‘mission’ mode, and I was standing right in the front of the tablets(almost to the point of flapping my arms!) waiting for someone to help me. I even paced around the store looking for an associate that was happening to walk by, maybe even restocking the shelves to come and help me(take my money out of my wallet!). I had to go right to customer service, who helped me, barely, and said that we have the ‘tablet’ in stock. They then had to flag a person in the back to come and help me with my purchase. In the end, this purchasing experience was painful, how are you understaffed on a weekend? To go through this much hassle to rush from my hotel to get here(and luckily) buy my tablet, I will think again if I want to return to this Staples. It is big, it is new, but with no one to help you to get you out to enjoy your product, it’s all a waste.

It’s a Big Staples. Appreciate that it’s about a block away from the Cascades MAX Station,(good for us non-drivers). Not the best store if your looking for a variety of envelopes, but good for your other basic office supply needs.

I usually wouldn’t review a big box store, but I had to give them a hand for their work today. Not only did I turn in my empty ink cartridge like i usually do for $ 3, but they also accepted 2 boxes full of packing peanuts that I couldnt give away on freecycle, saving them from a landfill. I can’t give a full five stars because while they do have some recycled content paper and other items, they do not go on sale as much as their virgin paper products. cost conscious folks are always going to choose the $ 2 ream over the $ 5 ream.
