11:30am 6Jan16. Not crowded. Clean. Simple. Service quick and friendly. Carne asada and al pastor super Torta. Both were big and tasty. Will go back.

I’ve been living in this neighborhood for 12 years and have been eating at Super Torta on and off all that time. This is a little bigger than a hole-in-the-wall joint that serves decent burritos and tortas at an affordable price for folks who want a simple taqueria fix and/or chili-cheese fries. I really like their carnitas tacos, carne aside burritos, and house-made sauces. It’s my favorite Woodstock work-day lunch spot.

I was pleased with the tostada I ordered with ground beef added meat. A little spendy for a tostada, about $ 7. But I’d order it again. Service was friendly for coming in half hour before they closed.

I write this review with mixed feelings. Would I eat here again? Yes most definitely but next time I will stand outside and read the menu so that I am not rushed inside being asked repeatedly if I am ready as I am clearly staring at the menu board on the side wall. The cashier was completely rude. He rolled his eyes and acted like getting a water cup was a problem. They won’t make enchiladas with flour tortillas. Next time I will also get my food to go. The lack of cleanliness somewhat taints the taste of the food. With all this said, once I was home with my leftovers, my food was so delicious and such a great value that I will give it another try.

So… not sure what all the hate mail is about. These guys are the nicest. The food is always yummy and they are always super cool! It takes like 4 seconds for your burrito to be ready. It may not be the best mexican food in portland, but it excels at what it is… a perfectly good burrito/taco joint that has reliably kept me fed(I work a stones throw away) and happy for years now. Anyway. Don’t be mean, Unilocalers… these are good peeps and yummy foods.

No stars because of their terrible customer service and the fact that my son had the bean and cheese burrito and got food poisoning. There are only one or two out of 6 employees who take pride in what they are doing. The cashier was in a huge hurry for no reason, even though their was no line. New Mexican spots like la Jarochita have little cupitas of avocado sauce that is so delicious and free, if you’ve experienced anything like I have, you wouldn’t go here. They even labeled our burritos wrong and gave us spoiled green sauce. P.S – hire nicer Mexicans who are patient and that love to help customers get exactly what food they want and how they want it. P. S.S. Whoever is making the salsa has a heavy hand on pepper. So don’t get any salsa unless you want a bunch of regular pepper in green and red watery substance. –Angel Morales

This place is in my hood and I’ve tried it four or five times now. The rice is ok, and the service is ok, if you enjoy being treated like a gringo. I have tried 5 or 6 items and not one of them would I order again. I find myself driving right past this place on the way to get Mexican fare every week. I wish someone would buy this place and put in a brew pub or something I might actually want to frequent.

I love me a good taqueria, but this does not fit the bill. The food is Meh. My husband and I love $ 4-$ 5 burritos. The beans were not cooked well and had no flavor so the burrito kind of sucked. The one thing a taqueria should do well is beans. On top of the beans not being so good the guy taking orders was not up for the task. Just not paying attention, unaware or did not care that he was taking someones order, talking super fast, forgot to give my card back and talking to someone else the whole time while taking my order. Tables were dirty. Not even close to my favorite cheap burrito place.

I’ve had some pretty friggin’ good Mexican around town recently, but this place, most assuredly, AINT it. The name of the place is inviting, as are the splashy colors inside(red, yellow, green). The mileau has a gritty charm, but it just doesn’t seem to crossover the hump and realize its potential as a street food haven. Instill, it seems to settle for a sort of overly familiar come-hither sleaze. The kind of low-brow seduction guaranteed to evince way more regrets and guilt, than gustatory satisfaction. The hard shelled, shredded beef tacos were a far cry indeed from the most excellent version served @ Burrito Express in Milwaukie. SUper Torta must spend a FORTUNE on all that limp, soggy iceberg lettuce! The machaca burrito — long my highly esteemed go-to, gold standard option– was similarly uninspired, uninspiring, and just failed to impress on all levels. I believe I was 4 glutton-boy big bites into the burrito before reaching any meet. Boooooooo! Perhaps in hindsight, my mistake was not in sticking w/ordering one of their tortas, seeings that this is the name of the place. Instead, I had some chili cheese fries that were laughable inept in their execution and an all-around waste of bum-wipe. I won’t be in any hurry to return to Super Torta, muchachos. Maybe, some day… but in the mean time, stay thirsty, my friend…

Huge fan. They’re fast, they get the orders right, the portions are generous, and the food is good. Great horchata.

If you use a card here, pay close attention to your statement!!! They give themselves an extra $ 2.10 at my expense. Note: I gave them a tip in the tip can but they decided to give themselves another tip. Poor business ethics. Here right now with cash this time and they just try to short me $ 5. Gave me a bunch of ones to confuse me. Avoid this place!!!

Ewwwww, Super Torta. Nothing here is good. Not even a quesadilla. Not even nachos. Seriously, if you order nachos, you get shredded, cold, unmelted cheese on chips. I asked about it and received the answer«we have no oven or microwave, so we can’t melt the cheese.» Why offer nachos then? Also, chicken bones in burritos on occasion. Yuck.

I adore Super Torta! Both locations. Delicious, authentic, fresh Mexican food. Sure, the décor may be dated a bit but just SHUTUP and eat!

My favourite burritos in town, but I am over the staff talking mad shit. I’ve been trying to be polite and ignore it for delicious food, but after tonight, I won’t be returning. Surprise– I understand everything being said about me. Shove it, douchers.

If you want artisinal tacos or burritos from white hipsters who went to Mexico and decided they needed to share it with the PNW, this is not your place. Sure the place needs a power wash steam cleaning, but we are talking taqueria. It’s good for take out and it’s pretty basic. Cheap burritos and the taco portions are huge for the price. It’s my neighborhood taco dive.

The food here is fantastic! I usually get the fajita burrito and can never finish the whole thing. You’re always greeted by the smiling face of the owner when you walk in the door. The order process is nice and simple: take a look at the menu, order your food and wait for your name to be called… No need for table service when the atmosphere is like an indoor food cart.

Pretty good, authentic food, but get it to go; it’s kinda sticky & dirty inside, and not in the fun way.

One of the better Mexican restaurants close to home. First visit here and ordered the Carne Asada Burrito, it was HUGE and full of wonderful, tasty ingredients. I’ll have to return here again and try another menu item soon.

Had an al pastor burrito and it was amazing! Reminded me of the al pastor burritos back home in LA… And the green salsa was the best I’ve had in Portland so far. But $ 7 dollars for a burrito seems a bit much for a burrito… But I guess I’d go back someday when I’m really craving a piece of LA tasting Mexican food.
