Great styles, Great quality, great service, but the prices, even sale prices, are so high that all I can do is browse.

Talbots feels a little snooty. Maybe it’s the impressive red logo, or the incredibly expensive clothes, but I always feel under dressed in the store. I never buy anything that isn’t on sale. I don’t have $ 110 to spend on a shirt or pair of pants. The sales can be fantastic, up to 70 or 80% off, and you can sign up for emails telling you when sales are occurring.
This Talbots has average, plus and petite sizes. The sales lady was very nice and helpful, and I didn’t get the impression she was peeved that I didn’t buy anything. I wouldn’t drive there regularly just to check out the regular sales, but when the 70 to 80% sales hit, I’ll be there again, feeling inadequate and trying to find something that looks suitably grown up to wear to work.
