What comes to your mind when you hear or talk about Tan Republic? My previous tanning salon was purchased by Tan Republic. During the transition I had encountered a problem and wasn’t too happy. HOWEVER, after reaching out to the corporate office and working with the Guest Relations Manager my issue was IMMEDIATELY resolved to my satisfaction. They went ABOVE and BEYOND my expectations. Over the past several months Tan Republic has REALLY improved their customer service. The associates are very friendly, knowledgeable, and really want the best for their customers. I have been to a couple other tanning chains in the area and they haven’t shown any improvement in customer service. Tan Republic at SEVERAL locations has demonstrated to me their consistent commitment to providing superior customer service and selling quality products at fair prices. The salons are VERY clean. If you have had a poor experience with them in the past I advise you to give them another opportunity how I did. They work with you and TRUELY care for their customers. Keep up the outstanding work!

HORRIFIC! They are completely unethical and unprofessional. NONE of their equipment works… and they send you to all of their other stores and those don’t work either. They REFUSE to give refunds and try to up sell. I’m waiting months now and no response from their manager. Completely need to be put out of business. DONOTGOTHERE.

Worst service, they are so expensive 3 times what my health club costs. I had one tan left and they said I didn’t and didn’t offer to do anything to help. They want to charge 92 $ for 5 tans. It is no wonder they never have anyone in their store. The girl helping me seemed so happy to tell me she couldn’t help me out with a better price. It’s a wonder they are still in business.

I have NEVER received such horrible customer service in my life. I bought a groupon online for a month a gold tanning for $ 30. When I went in the young man was texting eating subway. Did not even acknowledge me. I am almost positive he was on drugs. Or extremely tired. Either way after 10 min of trying to just get into a bed I left and I’m now canceling my groupon. What a shame. YUCK. I was really excited and now I’m left with a horrible taste in my mouth. NEVERAGAIN

I had a positive experience with Tan Republic based on good customer service & a great tan. Although pricey, I was able to get a good base tan in a few sessions before a vacation.

This is a good tanning salon. I think the prices are reasonable for what you get. I never have to wait for a bed to be available and the girls working are always very friendly. They don’t push you into buying product which I really appreciate! The only bad comment I have is that they don’t offer refunds, so if you purchase several months of tanning and decide you don’t want to go anymore you’re out of luck!

I have been going here for about a year now. Yes, it’s on the pricey side but all tanning places have similar price point. All the young ladies that work here are always so sweet. I noticed a lot of people are complaining about the prices, the people there are working for the company so yes, they are going to try to up sell you but as a consumer, it’s your own responsibility to only get what you can afford. I like getting my color on in this place. Always clean, always friendly and always welcoming.

My fiancé accidentally rolled herself into a twelve month contract with Tan Republic after she ran out of her free tans which carried over from another company. This mistake was through a simple miscommunication. I called and talked to Emily the Senior Manager and she was extremely professional and helpful. After explaining our situation to Emily she spoke to her higher ups and got us taken care of and out of the mistakenly signed contract. She responded to us within a few hours and was very helpful!

Wow. I called just to get a price range on single sessions and or monthly packages. The girl on the phone told me since they had three beds, there were just too many options and she could not give me any prices on the phone and I would just have to come in. I told her, I’m shopping around right now, if you can’t even give me some price range, then the customer service you are providing me right now does not want to make me come in at all. She said she was the only person on duty right now, and if anyone came in to tan she’d have to go, and that’s why she couldn’t give me any further info. Rediculous! I was like, I’ve been to Palm Beach Tan, they have like 6 beds, how can u tell me you have three beds but its too complicated to give me any prices??? Awful. I live right down the street and I will not ever go here. We argued on the phone over her not being able to tell me about prices/packages so long I probably could have learned the ins and outs of the whole business in that time! AND she said she was the manager on duty! Take a clue, learn about customer service!!!

Dear Readers: It’s hard to know exactly what this R.R. character’s relationship is to Tan Republic as he has represented himself multiple ways to suit his motives: as a customer, an owner, the boyfriend of the manager and now as design and construction consultant !!! He is one of the two guys in the tiny picture below for the«Message from the Owners» so draw your own conclusions. You can’t see his profile name or picture any more to compare because Unilocal has verified the truth of the messages he sent to Catherine and I(which we posted verbatim) and they have revoked his membership and closed his profile. That why you only see R.R. instead of his name Ryan Reese. It’s disconcerting that they haven’t also removed his slanderous, ridiculous and inappropriate reviews but I’m hopeful they will see the light and take action soon. See his other fantastical reviews for the TR location at 11170SW Barnes Rd to get a sense of this maniac. The Portland police have taken the matter of his threats on our lives and safety seriously and assigned a case and taken statements from both sides. If Mr. Reese has any sense at all he will realize that his actions have only caused harm to himself, his business and to and to our family(not that he cares) and put this to rest.
