I LOVE this place!!! I make it up to Portland Saturday Market as much as possible just to eat here! And I’m from the Corvallis area so it’s not like it’s easy walking distance or anything. Their pierogies are TODIEFOR!!!

Wow, what an amazing results from such a simple delicacy. The pierogies were fantastic, and the gravy that they are sitting in is so amazing that I wanted to drink it from a cup. The salad which was quite simple and consisted of some pickled cucumbers and beats was also fantastic. I tried the meatballs which were great, although the kielbasa and chicken cutlets also look amazing. Best of all, got a giant plate of food for nine dollars.

Hands down, the best Kielbasa in Portland! I have Polish blood on my dad’s side and between my Gramma and some aunts, I grew up eating pirogues, kraut, and of course kielbasa. None of that hillshire farms crap, either. My grandparents moved around a bit but they had a knack for finding an old school German butcher in every NJ or FL area. When she had been to the butcher… it was ON. Since moving to Portland, Ive been happily surprised with all the legit German delis and butchers here. The quality is there, even if the style is a bit different. But the first time I hit TOP, I ordered the kielbasa sandwich… the big rig with all the usual suspects: swiss cheese, grilled onion, grilled kraut, mushrooms and a handful of bacon! Give it a good chug of mustard(Gulden’s, the old skool shit… YAY-uh!) and its happy time! From the first bite, it was like getting wiener wacked right back to NJ in 1987! The spices, the quality of meat, the cherrywood smoke… easily the most authentic kielbasa Ive tasted since then. $ 6 for this monster is a killer deal. I had to ask the blonde woman at the helm where they get the sausage. She assured me that her and her family make them fresh from a family recipe. Now that’s what im talkin about! The second time, I went for one of the full boat plates. Nekkid kielbasa, pirogues, bigos, cucumber/tomato/dill salad… you better come hungry for that! Im used to pirogues boiled and then finished off in the skillet, theres are simply boiled. Still, VERY good. The bigos(a sausage/sauerkraut stew) was rich, tangy and meaty. And my old friend the spicy hunter’s kielbasa… no suprises here. Just a damn good plate of old country comfort food. My only gripe is no golabki(cabbage rolls)…I do like a good ‘polish burrito’, but there’s Eurodish for that…

Very friendly service! I waited a few minutes while the gentleman prepared my meal fresh. The portions were more than generous and everything tasted great.

I got the chicken meatballs, pierogis and cucumber salad. It was so much food. I liked everything except the gravy was a little bit odd.

My honeybunny and I shared a plate of the potato cheese pirogues during the Portland Saturday Fair. Inexpensive. Needed a bit of salt and pepper to punch things up. The sour cream was appreciated. The caramelized onions were the major flavor. Would buy again, or explore the menu further.
