Update as of 10 Sep 2011:
Moved to a new location just a short distance from the old location. Nice upgrade into a cool building. Was a bit confused about finding the states I needed as they were not in alphabetical order, but a nice place. Signs are all over to tell you where the library is (in the basement). I can’t use it all that much since my roots are not in Oregon and need more than basic info in my home state, and other states, but good for Oregonian’s.
This is a fantastic resource!
I went once to get to the bottom of a mystery cemetery. I walked out with a lot of data, the answer to my question (it does exist) and an answer to another question that I was not intending to get an answer to.
In addition to Oregon data, they also have books on the rest of the United States.
Note: Closed on Fridays. Closes at 3pm on Saturdays.
Worth the visit, drive.
