Quiet place to live. My building was in the way-back of the property so I heard no cars or other commotion. Most of the tenants with kids, what few there were, lived towards the front. The apartments are older but the interior of my unit was quite nice, in spite of the older décor and some of the fixtures. Rent was $ 515 per month, very reasonable. The management was very attentive to problems. I liked the fact that they did not charge me a security deposit! It could’ve been because I had a co-signer. They also did not charge anything for the carpet cleaning/general cleaning after I left. I should add, I lived there umpteen years ago now. The only problem I ran into while living there was with CR Realty. I contacted CR Realty and reported the issues to them, and they simply ignored my communications and nothing was ever done to correct the issues, related mainly to the power(I was getting huge bills every month for no apparent reason) and the cable(I had AT&T broadband as well as cable TV and the internet was majorly slow). In reading other reviews(non-Yelp) about Ivy Lake Court nowadays, apparently it’s gone far downhill — there are more bad tenants and CR Realty is worse than ever, especially with regard to evictions. There weren’t many bad tenants there at the time I don’t think… it was pretty peaceful, at least in the buildings near the back where I was. I’m glad I lived there when it was still decent and affordable. It was NOT the most pretty place to live — the duck pond, aka Ivy Lake, was pretty yucky and the ducks woke everyone up in the morning. I lived there for 18 months before moving down south to Los Angeles. Hopefully they got cable TV in there for all tenants; at the time I lived there, CR Realty told the cable company that they refused to spend the money to put in cable for the entire property so it had to be done on an individual basis for whichever tenants wanted it.
