Horrible food. I have no idea why this place is popular. The first time I had a fajita, and it was ok. Simple peppers, onions and meat. Nothing bad, but nothing extra flavorful. Kinda hard to mess up that dish up. The second time I asked if they had anything with mole sauce. The waiter told me enchilada sauce was the same as mole. I guess he must have thought this was my first time eating mexican food ever. The rice was dry and flavorless and the beans looked like a watery can version. The food was tv dinner quality if you reheated it the next day. My wife hardly touched hers, and the waiter wisely didn’t ask how the meal was. It isn’t cheap cheap, about 10 – 14 for most entrees. The good news is they give free chips, which is the best part of the meal.

Had lunch this past Sunday at The Original Taco House on 82nd avenue. Our granddaughter was with us. She’s 5. They had a separate kids menu, and she chose the Cheeseburger and Fries — she loves fries with ketchup, but this one, she said: «They don’t taste very good!» Also supplied were a cup of crayons and drawing paper — granddaughter was kept busy with these while waiting for her meal. I had fun coloring with her! Hubby had the chile relleno meal which he said was very good. I ordered two soft tacos. What they brought out seemed more like two burritos to me. The food was OK, but the place is a little faded. Three stars.

Great food and inexpensive. Unlimited chips and salsa. Been to the restaurant at least 20 times and never a bad experience.
