Ultimate Nails

Some called to make an apt & asked for a price. When I got there they were raising the prices on me! Like really?! Not a happy camper, will not be returning.

I like going here because these Ladies are detail oriented and pay very lose attention to their work so they don’t talk to you as often which is fine with me. I like to relax and enjoy the quiet! I usually call last minute before going in and they definitely do their best to accommodate to my schedule.
The prices are affordable ($ 25 for spa pedicure) and you get for what you pay for.

Deeply regretful decision of picking this place to get a pedicure. I wanted a quick and easy pedicure but it just felt completely awkward the whole time i was sitting in the massage chair,
Maybe it’s me, but I actually enjoy a little conversation instead of complete silence. At least asking me if the water is warm enough, or the stones were okay. I’m not sure if it was a language barrier or what but I didn’t really feel comfortable. Another thing I noticed is that they don’t have an autoclave machine or their tools were not sterilized. I strongly recommend not coming to this business if you don’t enjoy completely quietness and feeling uncomfortable the whole time. The ladies were quiet but it just felt as if they didn’t really enjoy their profession.

The worst place I have gotten my nails done in a long time. 2.5 hours later I walked out with uneven toes, nails that I asked to file myself because she wasn’t comprehending the difference between square and round and 6!!! uneven coats of shellac. They also used a pumice stone that had clearly been used on many other people. Gross.

One star because of customer service. My nails turned out fine but it took an hour and a half for the tech to complete a polish change on my solar nails. It took her a really long time to paint each nail. I appreciate attention to detail, but this was kinda extreme.
I asked how much it would cost when I sat down, was told it would be $ 20 since I wanted my polish removed and new shellac put on.
When it was time to pay, the price had been changed to $ 25. Wtf? Sorry, but that is not a way to gain the repeat business of a new customer. Also the technition at the station next to us was obviously sick, coughing everywhere and making no effort to cover her mouth. Very inconsiderate. People come to a salon to be pampered, not catch the flu or a cold.

If I could give no stars I would. I asked 3 times for acrylic fill and polish… she did solar nails and charged me 45.00 when it should’ve been 18.00… I will never go back and now will have to have them completely removed and redone.
They act like they understand but clearly they don’t or they are trying to take advantage.
I should’ve walked out, that is my own fault.
The color I picked wasn’t even right.

Smaller but clean and neat salon on 185^th and NW West Union. The woman who did my Shellac mani/​pedi was efficient and my nails look great. We will see how they hold up. I’ve never had trouble with Shellac in the past, so I hope this is the same. The ladies working there are quiet and professional. Not a lot of forced chatter, which I like.
Why not five stars? I felt a little unwelcome at first. I called two days ago for an appointment and still had to wait 10 minutes to get started. When I asked about picking a color, one of the ladies brought me only one tray of examples, with about thirty colors. I had to ask twice if there were more Shellac colors to choose from. There is definitely a language barrier here… though maybe that’s my fault.
I’ll be back, provided the quality over the long term is good.

My friend and I just left Ultimate. We walked in right before opening time and they graciously welcomed us in. Both of us had manicures. I must say mine was a treat. The manicurist was very attentive. I only wanted a high shine/​buff and she did it beautifully. Great value and great service. Go now.

I went to Ultimate Nails only for facial waxing and never to get my nails done. I was happy with the service. I always asked for Tina and she always did a great job. If there was a long wait she would ask me to come by at another time and that always worked very well for me.

After being in the Portland area for 2.5 years, I have *finally* found THE place that gets my eyebrows right! I had no wait, service was quick and efficient & the price was right; what more could you want?! I will be returning to try the mani/​pedi services and hopefully will have a one stop shop from now on!

We made an appointment for 2 but still waited 1 hour, they overbooked themselves, other clients waited as well. Luckily they put us in the massage chair… With water that got cold and pruny feet. The pedicure was good. It’s very rare that I tip under 20% but in this case. Having an appointment yet waiting an hour without being told we’d wait. And not Atleast being offered a discount or complimentary manicure.
I hate to say as convienient as it is to my house, we will not go back here.

I came here with my super pregnant BFF and the ladies were so nice! We called ahead to make sure they could fit us both in for pedicures and good thing we did because they were super busy when we got there. They did an awesome job on our feet/​legs including the hot wax at no extra charge. The chairs were really comfortable and the 5 year old that was with us was welcome to sit in one of their massage chairs. They even gave us free flowers on our nails since my BFF was having her baby the next day! They did such an awesome job that we decided to get the manicures done as well, at $ 37 for both it was a great deal. This will definitely be our new spot as their services went above and beyond any other place we’ve been.

Still love coming to this nail salon! They do a fantastic job on Shellac nails and you cannot beat the price of $ 25! All of the ladies that have worked on my nails have been fantastic. I’m going to be moving away from the area soon, but I still plan on making the trip out to have these ladies work on my nails!

I like to come here. When you get a pedicure, they treat you so nice. It’s so relaxing that I want to and almost fall asleep. They have very soft hands and take care of your feet very good. They also massage your feet and legs. All while you’re watching tv. Also the ladies don’t talk very much to you so you are able to enjoy your pedi and/​or able to talk to your friend. Manicures are also nice and they also massage your hands. Very nicely priced and reasonable. Highly recommended, 5-​STARS!!!

I have had acrylic fills before and they always lift and chip within one week. The people are nice and the customer service is ok, but I think the product must be cheap.
