I came here when I was destitute and had some back spasms. Thankfully, the clinic came through and helped me through a really rough spot. The staff is friendly and I felt completely better after the treatment. Highly recommended!

Once upon a time, I had a terrible pain spring forth from my foot out of the blue. As I sobbed on the phone to an advice nurse, she told me to come here. I was able to call and pick up an appointment within an hour on the same day, and got examined by a supervising adviser and treatment from a student. I walked in sobbing, feeling I was being stabbed in my foot with every step. I left, only slightly whimpering. I saw many different students while treating the problem, over the course of at least 3 months. They were truly a gift to me. I had no idea what was wrong with my foot, and they made it tolerable. They were bright-eyed, friendly, and easy to work with. Eventually, the pain went away mostly, but not entirely And when the time came, they were able to refer me to a Multnomah County health clinic, cutting through a lot of the bull that it can often take to get an appointment. If I hadn’t gone to this place, I might have resorted to amputating my own foot. But now I know if I am ever having random pains, they’re here to help. And if you need it, they can help you too.

This place is an undeniable gift for those with low income and no medical insurance. The student who I was seeing was in his final year and was just as knowledgeable as any full fledged chiropractor I’ve been to. Wonderful service for the community, and free as well.

The Gresham clinic will charge you $ 100 to have a student, who has been in school for just 1 year, perform every violent/quick adjustments on you. I strongly discourage anyone from going to Western States Chiropractic. every request I made via my physical boundaries was ignored by my intern. I went in for two reasons: to get a diagnosis of my acute neck spasm and an xray. I foolishly thought I could rely upon them to give me some insight into if there was anything structurally wrong with my neck. I wish I had gone straight to an MD. My intern bullied me into letting him crack my neck when I told him explicitly I did not want him to in the first minute of my intake. He just wouldn’t let up. Looking back I wish I had done the thing we women are told to do in cases of attempted rape– broken record: No. No. No. No. His treatment sent my muscles into further spasm. Instead going home with the stiff neck I came in for I went home with a stiff neck and a raging headache. Two months later now my is still disruptively stiff.
