Love our local market, it’s has the essentials and when I don’t feel like cooking there’s a hot and cold food bar with many healthy options. Friendly staff.

I’d argue Bianchini’s deli potentially has the best sandwiches ever. Fresh ingredients, fresh bread, and great selection for $ 7 a sandwich. The grocery store itself is a bit expensive but quality is bar none. The Meat and seafood section is prime time with beautiful looking cuts of everything imaginable on display. They pretty much have land and sea dweller you could ever want. Produce is always fresh. The warm food selection always looks good, but I have yet to partake. Salad bar and soup station are clutch too. And I’d be remiss if i left out the daily fresh sushi, and free cheese samples.

This place is a cute little market. The employees are friendly and smile and greet the customers. I had the«firehouse» sandwich which was one of the best sandwiches I have had, very flavorful. It has triptip, roasted red peppers, peppercinis, tomatoes and lettuce. I also got a chocolate croissant, it was alright, a lil dry and just some chocolate chips in the center of it, so not chocolate throughout.

Check the expiration dates. I love this place but they always stock expired products!

Nothing but good things to report about this market. High-quality food. Want a real treat? The butcher regularly makes Greek-style lamb hamburger. Absolutely delicious.

I LOVE Bianchini’s! Their produce is amazing, and the customer service it excellent. On several occasions the employees have gone above and beyond to help me, most recently they cut up and plated a watermelon for me to take to a BBQ. Thanks for the great service and the friendly attitudes. I’ll keep coming back!

Ordered a sandwich today against my better judgement as the last time I did so I had a bad case of food poisoning. But as that was years ago I ordered a roast turkey with cranberry sandwich. Instead I received a rotisserie chicken sandwich and an argument from a surly counter guy. The chicken wasn’t even sliced but in big dry chunks which kept falling out of the sandwich. My last time there for sure.

I see a lot of reviewers writing about their deli/salad bar. I shop here regularly to stock my pantry/fridge. I trust their butchers/fishmongers to provide me with the freshest stuff. They actually grind their own meat. I cringe to think of the meat at Safeway. They give me advice too on how to cook it. My MIL says their prices are high, but I disagree. I think they are comparable, but not cheap like Traders Joe’s. I’ve never gotten bad milk(like I have at Safeway). They won’t have«buy 2 yogurts for $ 1» but it’s always fresh.

Best butcher shop in the South Bay, bar none. I’ve been to them all— Schaub’s, Belcampo, you name it. No one beats Bianchini’s price or selection. And if they don’t have it, they’ll get it for you. They have everything— every cut of beef, a large selection of pre-marinated chicken, burger patties pre-mixed with bacon(if you’ve ever eaten at Ricky Bobby’s in SF, you understand), all kinds of fish and shellfish— just everything. Plus this is a great little market for everything else, including a huge selection of fresh fruits that always live outside in the front of the market. Bianchini is a little more expensive than Safeway, and I sure wouldn’t buy my staples there, but for the meat-lover in me there’s no other place to go.

This is a wonderful little market. It doesn’t have everything, but what it does have is usually really good. It’s nice having a really good fish and meat market as well as fruit and vegetables so close by in town. The prices are higher than you’d find in a supermarket, but again it’s the things you’ll find here that count. The people who work here are really great too. Unfortunately, they don’t take Apple Pay and their loyalty program is not Passbook compatible.

Try the Bianchi Club and Godfather — great portion and so tasty. To boot, they slip in an Andes Mint w/each sandwich!

That was a disappointing experience. I asked the wine merchant if he had sweet white wines. I was hoping to get some good recommendations to buy/drink tonight. He said he doesn’t have sweet wines. I said like a Gewurtz. Then he pointed me to the cheap whites. Sort of a bummer. I asked about any fine whites. I had to call out a specific one for him to show me where they were. He had plenty of good Gerwurtz and Reislings in refrigerated section but couldn’t be bothered to point those out.

Been shopping here for years when I’m in the neighborhood yes their prices are a bit pricey but always fresh & many choices to choose from. A checker always @ this location I think his name is Eric? He greets each customer & engages with them like family would & appears to be the only checker that takes the job seriously. The other checkers seem to never be around when he call 4 back up. Bianchini’s sandwiches fill my appetite & like the dessert mint wrapped with the sandwich. If ur in da the neighborhood try it out see watchca think…

The people who work here really don’t seem to care about their jobs – I feel like they could care less about the fact I’m standing in front of them asking a question. The service at Robert’s down the road is 1000x better. The selection and items are above average though.

Extremely disappointed in the Thanksgiving turkey! It is frozen! Dinner less than 24 hours away, and I have to thaw it. I brought it back, and they told me it was«chilled.» They said to put it in warm water to thaw. Doesn’t sound at all like good advice to me. I have always bought my turkeys from Draegers in Los Altos and I am very, very sorry I did not do so this year. I have always thought if Biancini’s as top quality. Pricey yes, but always the best. This has really tarnished my impression of them.

I visited Bianchini’s Market for a lunch the other day. I came around 2 p.m. and the place had a couple customers at the time, mostly in the deli, like me. I ordered the portola pork lion sandwich($ 7.99). It had pork, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, mayo and a sweet bbq-like sauce, all on dutch crunch. The meat tasted good, but the other toppings were a bit sparse and unevenly placed. I thought the bbq sauce was a nice touch though– definitely different from other sandwiches that I’ve had. The dutch crunch was soft and fluffy, not as crunchy as I’m used to, but it was fine. Strangely, the sandwich was not cut in half. It was cut as 1⁄3 and 2⁄3. I’m not sure if the person behind the counter did this intentionally, but I did find it odd. I also got a cup of «gumbo.»(Sold by weight, the small container cost a little less than $ 5.) This was tasty, but unlike other gumbos that I’ve had. It was watery, very similar to minestrone– but with sausage added. The flavor was pretty good, but one thing I didn’t like was that the soup was too hot! It was my fault for not being more careful, but I burnt my finger(soup splashed a little) and my tongue(when trying to eat it). After purchasing the soup and letting it sit for several minutes before consuming it, I still somehow burnt my tongue/roof of my mouth. I guess soup being extra hot is better than cold– but I need to be more careful. Overall, this market is an okay option for lunch. The staff I encountered were not that friendly, but they did their job.

The deli sandwiches are delicious. Actually, all of the«to go» food looks delicious. The atmosphere of the store is quaint– it reminds me of what all small(independent) grocery stores must have looked liked decades ago. However, if you’re trying to simply buy staples, look elsewhere. $ 6 for a box of Wheat Thins? Maybe this isn’t an issue for people living in Portola Valley, but for us less… ahem… financially inclined people, it’s best to just come here for a few goods on the go.

this is my new favorite spot to get some coffee on the go in ladera! Pete’s coffee available by the bakery for 1.25 in my travel mug and there is soy milk available for us peeps with dairy allergies, yessss. loooove. other things I’ve scored here in the past are some gluten free and vegan cookies and the occiasional produce but its $$. some of my friends love the salad bar and soup selection but that’s not really my thing. There is some nice pre-made sushi to buy also. Staff is generally friendly and helpful. I’d love to see some more dairy free ice cream selections, bring it!

I might prefer the one in San Carlos more but I think it’s just because it’s newer and has a few more things I couldn’t find here. However this one is definitely closer to where I reside. They’ve got tons of produce sitting outside and the quality of deli, meats, seafood, etc tends to be better than your average supermarket but that’s also reflected in the price. Was eyeballing some Sauternes and Tokaji but resisted. Though now I know this is one of the few markets where you can pick up such things
