This was a fabulous meal. Special for my little cousins birthday. The four of us had never been here before. I have been missing out. Service: a little slow but it was extremely crowded on a Friday night. Sweet girl who did her best to keep glasses full and answer our many questions. Food: ordered some delicious apps. I loved the pretzal sticks. Two fish fry, a pullled pork and a whole racks of ribs. Everything was huge. A whole plate just for the ribs themselves, all my sides were on a separate dish. Tender and so tasty. the fish had excellent batter and was fried nicely. Recieved a free scoop of vanilla ice cream with maple syrup for our birthday girl. Atmosphere: we would all like to come back for the actual tour. There’s also so much more on the menu i must try. And the adorable little store has great maple hard candy This is my new favorite place at the moment. Its fantastic.

My favorite place to go for breakfast! They have the BEST syrup and breakfast menu ever! Try the never ending blueberry pancakes, OMGSOGOOD.

A bit of a drive from Buffalo but the service, atmosphere and most of all the food was top notch. Chocolate chip pancakes, homemade sausage, a yummy pumpkin cappucino. Take a nice drive with a hungry family or older parents who miss downhome food — they will love the place. A charming store and beautiful grounds.

I found everything maple syrup today. I bet the hand soap in the bathroom had maple syrup in it. I think there was some maple syrup cologne in the gift shop(insert grin). This place was immaculate and gorgeous inside, hunting lodge style. Loved the puppet owl sounding off along with the wing flapping mechanical geese. The breakfast food portions we ordered were huge and the eggs and pancakes were spot on delicious. The sausage was huge and good, not great. The servers were sweet like maple syrup and efficient. The outside remind me of Disneyland meets Cracker Barrel. Overall a great experience in a far away place.

My family and I drove two house to get here from Buffalo so I wasn’t sure what to expect — I was pleasantly surprised! Walking in past maple syrup machinery and a gift shop, you enter a giant room dressed for an Autumn day at the cabin! There are flying machine geese flapping slowly above you while you dine, and a cute little racoon that pops in and out of his hiding spot! Adorable atmosphere sets the perfect stage for a Fall meal with the family. The lobster bisque extraordinaire was indeed extraordinary — extra chunks of lobster with a touch of sherry and fresh chives — yes please! The turkey served here is among the best I’ve ever had. Juicy and succulent, they serve their own farm raised turkeys on their turkey sandwich and with the turkey dinner. My turkey dinner was served with sliced turkey and gravy served over moist stuffing and mashed potatoes — delicious! If I go again, I’ll definitely request a turkey leg. Another favorite there is the breakfast, served all day with endless pancakes. The pancakes paired with their homemade syrup were perfect. The gift shop offered unique popcorns and seasonings with whirly pops, homemade soaps, fudges, candles, candies, caramels and more! Jams, jellies, salsas and dressings all made locally. A great fun shopping area to stop in while you wait for your food! There is also a short hayride that takes you up and around the small hill where you can see all of the tree taps harvesting for their syrup. To my surprise, we stopped at a small heated log cabin for free cider doughnuts, hot cider, and maple wine! I’ll definitely be back next year!

Me and my Partners family visit this maple farm at least twice a year. Once during the maple harvest weekend and another before it gets very cold during the fall. You can call it tradition. Depends on what time of the day you go, there might be a line. The wait will be no longer than 45 minutes. The dining area is HUGE so the line goes down quick. When waiting in the hall way, they sometimes have this operating and you can taste like maple cotton candy and some other maple products. Food was fantastic. They make a lot of things in house. Everything on the menu is good, but the Turkey dinner meal is pretty amazing. I normally don’t get it because it always put me to sleep. I normally get the whole rack of ribs with the maple bbq sauce. I got the maple avalanche for desert. I couldn’t eat it all and had to take some of it back home. That was also amazing. That is a must have item. Still haven’t gotten a chance to come here for a tour, but I will try to go on one when I’m back. Also, don’t forget to visit the gift shop and take some maple theme snacks and food home. I know i’m missing alot of details, but this is a place that is worth the drive and Can’t wait to come back here again.

I come all the way from Alabama and this is one of the places I have to go every year. Maybe even more than once. Family tradition. So good! The food is amazing! But it’s not just a restaurant with quirky décor! It’s on beautiful grounds with amazing sculpted wooden pieces throughout! They have quails you can go look at(great for kids) and an adorable gift shop where you should definitely take advantage of the sweets they make with the maple syrup. And, other than the food, the best part about that place is the hallway leading to the dining room is all windows to the pond outside and the other side is massive windows where you can watch how they make their maple syrup with signs that tell you some about it! If you’re within an hour and a half from it, you have to go! Plus, breakfast served ALLDAY!!!

Great vibes and good food I will come back here some day! 4 different types of syrup for pancakes and one being REAL maple syrup which they make there. local eggs(a bit buttery tho) and all you can eat pancakes when you order a meal and various options of pancakes. I would suggest buckwheat over buttermilk which I never had tried before but try them at your own free will. All other pancake options are mostly seasonal and they even had some not on the menu.

I consider Sprague’s Maple Farms to be a magical place. Everybody loves it! It’s the perfect place to go for any meal of the day. It’s about an hour and a half drive from Buffalo. My family usually goes when we are staying in Allegany. The maple syrup is PHENOMENAL! It is made on site. The outside of the restaurant is beautiful. The landscaping is gorgeous. They have a really pretty fountain up front that has two swans swimming in it. As you enter the restaurant, you walk by the vats of syrup being produced. They also have the maple farm behind the restaurant, which is really fun to walk through! The restaurant is decorated like a warm, cozy cottage(Antler chandeliers, wooden interior, natural decorations). It’s really a must-visit for anybody in the area– for both food and décor! Their breakfast menu is served all day, which is wonderful because they have the best breakfast I’ve ever had. You can’t go wrong with anything, but I would recommend ordering a waffle or french toast and drowning it in their homemade syrup. Alternatively, their omelettes are absolutely delicious. The sides of bacon, sausage, toast and home fries are all excellent. The portions are extremely generous and reasonably priced. If you’re not in the mood for breakfast, but you still want to try the homemade syrup, you have a few options. My favorite is the BBQ rack of ribs. The BBQ sauce is fused with their maple syrup. It’s delicious! The ribs are tender and flavorful. They also incorporate the maple syrup into their baked beans, some chicken dishes, and various specials. The dinner rolls are also sweetened with their syrup. For those who are looking for something without maple flavoring, they have pages and pages of other options. Whenever we visit Spragues, we are sure to split a bottle of the Maple Chardonnay. This wine is truly indescribable. It’s very sweet, but so unique and tasty! As if the phenomenal food and decoration isn’t enough, the service is always so great. The servers are all so incredibly friendly and welcoming. They all seem to get along like family. If you are remotely within driving distance of Sprague’s, it is certainly worth the drive! It’s such a happy, wonderful place to be.

This listing says no outdoor seating, but in fact they do have a couple tables out front in a kind of veranda area. Good to know for us, since we had our dog with us. The location is amazing – very nice to sit outside in the shade on a beautiful summer day.

From the moment you pull in the driveway, this place has amazed me. The beautiful landscape, the building itself, the huge parking lot. The restroom is spotless and decorated tastefully. Actually the mirrors are gorgeous! The dining room is huge and beautiful. It is full of things to look at, and it is CLEAN. They have really taken their time and pride in this cleanliness of this place. The staff is great. You can tell they like their job. They do very well at it too. Smiles all the time, quick to respond, attentive, and did I mention friendly??? The length of time to get our food was not long at all. Although it was early morning, so the dining area was not quite full. The food. Fresh, scratch made, hot!, and full of flavor! Juices are large glasses, not shot glasses. Serving sizes are enough to feed just about anyone. And if not… have the pancakes… it’s all you can eat! May be off the beaten path, but so worth it. We were camping at the state park and came for breakfast, stayed for the hike, and enjoyed the scenery!

Sprague’s is the best! The food is good, the portions generous and the restaurant ambience is fun and family friendly. I would give five stars, but because it is so popular, it’s sometimes REALLY crowded & a bit noisy. Breakfast is the BEST!!! And stop in to the gift shop for some syrup and goodies to take home with you!

Visiting Sprague’s is a family tradition for us. It is one of the few places we all agree on and get excited about going. but that is just for breakfast. I personally am not a huge fan of their lunch and dinner menu as they have few vegetarian options and let face it why go to a maple farm if you aren’t going to be slathering your food in maple syrup?! Without fail I order the french toast with ALL of the fruit or the Berries on a Cloud. Yes I order is with applewood smoked bacon. Yes I know that isn’t vegetarian and no I don’t care. It is that good. The coffee isn’t bad and the home fries are great. In the morning, especially on the weekends there can be a hell of a wait so send some scouts to stand in line. The line does tend to move pretty quickly though so don’t get too bummed if you have to wait. Keep an eye out for the moving critters in the dining room too. The owls head turns, the goose wings flap, the racoon peeks out of a barrel and I believe there is a woodpecker too. If you go during the winter they have visiting reindeer outside as well which is just super fun. Such a great place to go with your family.

I dream about this place, seriously. It’s the most adorable little setting, as if in the clouds surrounded by heaven and all the food is to die for. Everything is maple flavored! What more could you ask for? Wait, unlimited pancakes and coffee? Yea they have those too. Oh, and you can buy a JUG of syrup to take home? Check, double check. I moved to NYC away from the area a few years ago and every time i come back this is a must-stop. The berries on a cloud are incredible, and the maple sausage patties are unmatched. I do wish there weren’t birds in a cage by the door! It’s a little weird, and they freak me out.

Great food! A diabetics nightmare. Try the deep fried French toast, tastes just like a carnival! The buckwheat pancakes are very good as well. Be ready for everything to be maples flavored. Bacon as a side was great. Thick and not overcooked.

Came here for Thanksgiving. Who want’s turkey when there’s prime rib? It was tender and delicious. They cooked my rare steak a medium rare, but that’s fine. Still amazing! The roasted acorn squash with maple syrup was savory and sweet. Poutine is a smart choice to order every time.

Oh Sprague’s I live on the coast of California and spend my days telling people how much I miss your pulled pork sandwiches. Such delicious food, beautiful AND fun décor. The gift shop is pricey, but what gift shop isn’t? My only semi-«complaint» was coming into the restaurant: I saw the beautiful bird in the cage on the way in and asked the hostess why it was there(wondering if there was a back story). She smirked awkwardly, as though uncomfortable with my question, and said, «Um. I don’t know.» I’m sure she just couldn’t tell if I was being negative or curious, but it was a little awkward that she had nothing to say about the bird. But she was still great at seating us so I don’t want to make the mistake of coming off as though I had a problem with her! I truly love this restaurant and the warm lodge vibe it gives me. I can’t wait to go back to Cuba, and then I will drive to Sprague’s three times a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The best.

Stopped in for a burger. It was pretty good and was medium as I asked. But please, please do something about that god awful bird. It made a terrible racket. Maybe move it into another room when it gets that way? I think a screaming baby would have been more pleasant.

Everything’s better with Maple Syrup. Oh too true. I don’t live near hear, which is a shame since I don’t get a chance to visit this place nearly enough. But it’s probably good for my waistline. I’ve been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All good. And everything really is better with Sprague’s maple syrup.
