I hadn’t been there since my daughter was a baby(about 5 years ago) and I was impressed by how many large/size 10 clothes they had. But then I just couldn’t bear to buy anything, shirts for $ 7 and pants for $ 15? No. And then I decided to ask about winter clothes-big mistake. The owner was just plain rude. «What do you mean by winter? Ten year olds don’t wear coats.» And it went on like that for a while. So between the prices and the salty women who work there I won’t be shopping there.

I really want to love this store. Kitsap county just doesn’t have many children and baby consignment shops, and Rumple New Skins is located in a convenient area for us. The inside of the shop is kept very clean and organized, and the staff has always been friendly with me. Not overly friendly, but friendly enough. However, I just can’t get over the prices. I am seeing used children’s shoes in there, priced over $ 28. Prefold cloth diapers by Bumkins priced more than brand new ones from . A set of three Snappis(which sells on Amazon for $ 9), priced at nearly $ 13. Clothing that should obviously be priced at $ 2 tops, hanging up with tags reading $ 5 more. $ 5 for ONE onesie. One USED onesie. I can’t get over it. I would rate this shop much, much higher if it weren’t for their prices. I feel like I am shopping consignment by atmosphere, yet paying retail prices. I’m sure that’s how they make a profit, but dang. I’d rather spend that money on brand new items if that’s what I will be paying. People like to shop consignment for a reason – to save money. It feels as though this shop is doing a little price gouging if you ask me.

I’ve recently become addicted to children’s consignment shops as I’m currently pregnant with #3 and as we had given everything away we are starting from scratch. I have been to my fair share of consignment shops and truly enjoy this store. Staff: I was greeted immediately upon entering and asked if I needed any assistance. The ladies were super friendly so I don’t really get what other reviewers have mentioned in regards to the service.(this is my 2nd visit and they were kind and helpful my first time around) Clothing: Everything is in great clean like new condition. It was so well organized!!! The prices are very reasonable for the quality of items they carry. They have sales all the time and are nice enough to point them out when you come in. I like how the racks are not overpacked with clothing, but just enough to find exactly what you need. Furniture: they have a great selection of gently used baby items such as cribs, crib bedding, playmats, high chairs, strollers, and pack in plays. Compared to a lot of other stores there quality is excellent and very clean. Toys: they have a great selection of gently used toys. I took my husband on my recent trip and he too was surprised by how well organized and clean their toy area was. Everything was placed together so it was easy to find which helped to prevent missing pieces. My overall impression of this store is: As a parent of multiple kids I realize now the importance of saving $ for activities and other things. It’s wonderful to have a place to find what I need for a newborn, 8 and 6 yr old all in one place in great condition without breaking the bank. I would recommend coming here first before going to a big box retail store. You will NOT be disappointed!

My mom and I decided to stop in the other day, and we were less than impressed with the store. The toys were all in decent shape, as were the books. They also sell brand new items, such as See Kai Run shoes. Our real problem was with two very important things. The prices, and the customer service. Upon walking in, we were mildly acknowledged with a «hello» despite the store being completely empty. I wouldn’t think things would be too busy on a random Monday mid-morning to get chatty! Hello, how are you what a cute little girl and can I help you find something isn’t that difficult! Poulsbo is such a small community, an independent business owner doesn’t really have the luxury of employing rude and off-putting people in their children’s USED clothing store. Then, I got to browsing through the clothing and found some crazy prices! Most of the Gymboree items were priced far above their sale price at the actual store. Pardon me, but I’d never spend more money on second hand items that I could find cheaper in the actual store it came from. I will not be patronizing this store again. A little customer service goes a very long way, and the owner would be wise to realize this.

I’ve been shopping at Rumple New Skins for 8yrs. Its a great source for Gymbo, Hanna Anderson, Children’ Place and other children’s clothing. I’ve found the price to be a bargain for most clothing. The staff to be polite and informative. The store to be clean and child friendly with a play area for kids to play at. Located just as one enters Poulsbo its worth driving the extra 10mins from Silverdale to check out the deals.
