My primary doctor referred me here for a routine colonoscopy. I went for a consultation. The front desk told me there is no co-​pay because it is a consultation.
During the consultation I discovered that they could not give me a conclusive price on the procedure as they… ready for it? CHARGE BY THE POLYP! So you’re on the table all drugged up and they are ringing it up. ching, ching, ching!
I don’t know about you but I don’t buy things I don’t know what they cost.
Moving forward… a month later I get a bill for the co-​pay that they previously told me wasn’t due. I asked them why. They said it was because I complained of heartburn? That because of my heartburn now my appt was not just a consultation that it was diagnostic. I don’t know how they sleep at night honestly.
My thinking is that they made me pay the co-​pay because I didn’t agree to have them rip me and my bank account to shreds during a twilight sleep!
DON’T GO HERE!!! I won’t even go into the fiasco conversation I had with them about the difference in prices they have depending on «where» the procedure takes place. That’s all over the map as well. BTW. I DO HAVE INSURANCE! Anthem PPO. Normal insurance… This doctor is ripping people off in my opinion. Whatever they are doing may be legal but it’s not cool. It’s not about your health but all about your wallet. Find a doctor who cares about you personally, who is honest and who will give you an upfront price.
