Always someone to help you at the front door, reasonably priced.

I didn’t get his name, but an Ace hardware employee at the corinthe square location, went way out of his way to help me. I needed flower seed packets and it’s out of season, so I couldn’t find any (I’d been to 6 stores) and I had a special event planned where I needed them. So, this employee said «hold on, I’ll be back» and he went out in his truck and brought me in a dozen flower seed packets, no charge! His own stash… can you believe that? He was about 21 years old, tall, blonde, good looking, medium build, what a great guy and an asset to Ace hardware.

Besides offering a full line of hardware, and everything else one would expect from a hardware store, this place could give lessons in customer service. Despite having up-​to-​date merchandise, shopping here is like stepping back in time when «mom and pop» businesses were the norm. You’re greeted the minute you walk in the door, and you’ll always be asked if they can help you find anything. A lot of the clerks are high school aged kids that are the cream of the crop as they are mature, friendly and professional.

Best hardware store ever. Staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. Has everything you would expect from a hardware store. I always try to go here and avoid Lowe’s and home depot.

A nice little hardware store. As with the Hen House and CVS in the Corinth Square shops, this is an abbreviated version of a store. In the case of a hardware store, that’s not a bad thing. I don’t need 18 versions of a hammer or drill to choose from. What you won’t find here is a full range of choices for major home repairs and renovations. Go to Home Depot for that. WhAt this store does offer is everything you would need for a modest sized home project, which is what most home projects are. They carry a nice selection of paint, lights, plumbing supplies, and home and garden stuff (even stuff for outdoor grilling). This store is good enough that I find myself coming here as my first stop when working on a home project, which says something.
If there is one negative, I would say don’t get keys copied here. I tried 6 times to have duplicates of my house keys made and final just got a refund, which to their benefit they just gave no problem.

People actually greet you when you walk in. They help you find what you came in for and take you to the item. They don’t just point or tell you an aisle to go to, like Lowes or Home Depot.
If you have a question on how to fix something they will explain exactly how to do it; they even help if it something they can do in house.
Managers are great, checkers sometimes a little slow if it is busy, but a great local place to go.

Incredibly slow service. The staff seems very nice, but they certainly cater to those with nowhere to be. I could actually feel myself getting older as I waited in the never-​ending checkout line.
The store is clean and seems to be well organized. The staff is happy to assist shoppers who have questions, but be prepared for a lengthy discussion rather than a perfunctory answer. Don’t get me wrong, I like the service, but sometimes one just wants to know where the wire cutters are, not a whole lesson on which ones do what with anecdotes of personal experience.
A great variety of products that go beyond hardware. Westlake Ace Hardware is a great place to browse through homeware, equally as well as paint or tools.

Employees are always friendly and always ask if they can help you as soon as they see you.
They are the polar opposite of Home Depot or Lowe’s.

This is an excellent hardware store for one simple reason, the employees. Every time I come in here I always get the help that I need and sometimes even more. The employees are well versed on the products and can tell you how to use them, or offer alternate solutions if the original suggestion or idea doesn’t work. They have offered excellent solutions for our slippery porch as well as home security, and assisted in helping us find the correct bolts for drilling into plaster. The store itself is well organized as well, the aisle are well labeled and as mentioned before the employees can almost always help you.
