Great atmosphere, wait staff was incredible. Quick service, attentive, and awesome experience. We had bruchetta which was absolutely amazing, my husband had the chicken parm, and I had the chicken alba. I feel as though the chicken alba could have had a little more capers and I feel like the chicken may have been slightly undercooked… then again, I’m pretty paranoid about my chicken so it may just have been me. Overall a wonderful experience and I would definitely go back!

We came here for new years eve and were very happy we could get a table! They were busy, so the service was a bit slow, but not ridiculously so. We had the mussels and the lasagna. Now, neither of us like seafood particularly, but wanted to be brave, and we were handsomely rewarded! The mussels were great… just soaking in a buttery garlic sauce… so good… even better with the bread dipped in it. Yum! The lasagna, on The other hand, was not so awesome. It was like a ‘cheater’s lasagna’… It was just pasta sheets on top of one another and meat thrown in the center… No layers like a typical lasagna. It also lacked in the flavor department. I would recommend for the mussels… maybe not for the lasagna. Ps prices were more than fair and service was friendly!

If you are visiting Prescott or live in the area and want to find a place that makes you feel like you are part of an Italian family this is the perfect place for you. Me and a friend are visiting the area and we are soooo happy we stumbled across this place. Amazing food, good prices and beyond amazing service! The restaurant looks so beautiful at night because of all the lights they have set up, as if your sitting beneath the stars. I can’t tell you enough about how great it is, if your in Prescott go have a nice dinner there!

My boyfriend and I frequently stay at Hotel St. Michael in Prescott. Outside the hotel we saw this cute Italian place and were very enticed. Unfortunately the vibe doesn’t fit the food. Our waitress was authentic and very knowledgeable of the ingredients in the dishes. She was very helpful when it came down to wondering what was vegetarian. She even had vegetarian recommendations. Their Italian dressing was delicious! The potato soup was fantastic. The«lemon butter sauce with chicken» is NOTHING like the way it is described on the menu. It’s overcooked pasta drowned in a creamy sauce that doesn’t taste like lemon with 1 – 3 capers. It’s not good. It’s soup. Their marinara is good, but again the ravioli were overcooked. The garlic bread was cold, stale, and nothing short of store-bought bread.

I wanted to love this place so much, but it just didn’t compare to Papas or Rosas. It’s small and cute inside, they have a full bar which is nice. The waiter was nice and knowledgeable so that’s always a plus. The food tastes okay, better than Olive Garden for sure, but nothing to write home about. They totally messed up my husbands food. He ordered a baked tortellini with red sauce, they brought out Alfredo pasta dish that wasn’t baked. Mine was too rubbery for shrimp, and the manicotti lacked flavor. The Italian bruschetta was incredible though. Price was a little high but about average for decent Italian food. I wouldn’t say don’t come here, but I don’t know if I’d go back. On the plus, a little old man maybe homeless came in and they did take care of him by getting him some coffee. I think that speak volumes about a business.

I cannot rave enough about the phenomenal experience my wife and I had at Genovese’s. We were in Prescott for the day and wanted to find a nice Italian restaurant for dinner. We are so glad we came upon this place! Immediately upon arriving there was a wait out the door, which in the frigid cold of Christmas Eve tells you something – they must have amazing food. And oh did they ever! Not to mention numerous awards seen for best wait staff, best lunch spot and best Italian restaurant in Prescott! Upon entering we were greeted by Cathy(one of the owners) and sat within 10 minutes. The service was amazing and made me feel as if I’d been dining there for years. I ordered lasagna while my wife had angel hair chicken alfredo. Both dishes along with the side soups and garlic bread were amazing. I used to think that Buca’s lasagnas were the closest tasting to those in Italy but they have apparently met their match here hehe. If you’re in the mood for Italian and are in Prescott for any amount of time, do yourself a favor and come dine at Genovese’s. From the amazing hospitality to the delicious authentic Italian cuisine, you will not be sorry!

Ok. Thought this place was going to be good from reviews on here. But quite the opposite. Love Spumoni ice cream ½ reason went here, but they out, stuff happens so not the main reason for bad review. A. Service was great, friendly and attentive. Main reason for at least 2 stars. B. Food not«bad» but NO flavor. Had soup, no flavor mainly broth Sprite not brix correctly wrong ratio to syrup /water Linguini, clam with red sauce, sauce no flavor mainly water few clams and small portion Wife had Caesar salad with large chucks of romaine and little unflavored dressing Pasta noodles with mushrooms no flavor Would not recommend, but staff made me feel welcome, wish food had flavor

The service was average — forgot waters — forgot a soup — the soup was average — the chicken marsala was average and the linguini with clam sauce was above average the mozzarella sticks were above average — the cocktail was small but strong and the bill with tip was over $ 70 I would not recommend the restaurant as the value is not proportionate with the pricing

I had dinner there last Friday night while visiting Prescott. It was my first time to eat at this place and I am glad I did. It is a nice somewhat upscale restaurant that is attractively decorated with all of the lights near the ceiling. I ordered the Seafood Diavoli which is there seafood pasta dish is a mildly spicy tomato based sauce. It had shrimp, clams, mussels and calamari. The sauce is offered in 3 spice levels. I went with the medium and it was not that spicy and I enjoyed it. The meal was very good. It was a large plate of food and for $ 19.95 was worth it. It also came with a salad and the meal overall was worth a 4. Also the table service was very good too(4). I recommend this Italian restaurant for a good meal in a nice atmosphere. The restaurant is located a half a block off of the Square.

I’ve had their Alfredo and I was not dazzled by it by any means. It’s OK. They appear to have a Calamari steak that I am interested in trying. I’ll try that next time I go and maybe I will write a more favorable review for that.

Amazing food and service. True to Italian style of NYC. Owner actually is on site and is cooking. While the other owner is welcoming guests. Loved the calamari and pastas!

The food is meh, not authentic, pretty flavorless, heavey on their sauces and Mozzarella which I say is to cover their tasteless food… ordered their bruchetta bread and was shocked to see they used and served the tiny end pieces, unacceptable. 3 of us in our party didnt like the dinner salad when asked by waitress about it replied they were tasteless, she attempted an argument, but sorry i havd more class than that Ordered their manicotti, served in way to heavey sauce and drowned in cheese when found the actual manicotti it tasted very bland and as good as atore bought frozen, bland. Another ordered the baked eggplant parm, again very tasteless as if from frozen. 3rd ordered chicken picatta and its described as a light & delicate butter, wine & caper sauce when served it was pasta woth chicken drowning in a tasteless butter sauce. She sidnt eat any of it… if you like authentic italian food by pass Genovese’s not worth the $ 60 we paid and that was after the chicken picatta off the bill!.. oh amd their garliv bread absolutly tastless and if i were the chef Id be embarassed!!!

Fabulous, authentic Italian cuisine. Italian owned, family operated. Has won«Best Italian restaurant» for 3 years in a row. I had linguine with mussels(10 large, tender, & succulent) in the creamy sauce! Oh my, sauce light, fragrant & flavorful! Husband lived his spaghetti bolanese& tiramisu was wonderful. Meal served hot, not like it’s been sitting under a warming light, etc. Service was friendly, professional & immaculate & timely… but, not rushed! Joe, the server, brought me a sample of the alfredo sauce to sample, near the end of meal while waiting for dessert & lemoncello! Hmmmm… ROSA’S is over-rated compared to this. Great value…3 glasses of wine, 2 entres + 1 dessert & lemoncello = $ 52 + tip!

Came back for a second time, and it did not let down! This time we had the manicotti and cannolis, they were both very good. The staff is always the same, and always very friendly and attentive. Will always stop by when I am in Prescott.

Delicious Italian food made to perfection. We all four had remarkable meals that were very well prepared. We tried samples of the other’s and liked theirs, too. This is a new favorite place in downtown Prescott. We will be returning again. Bring your hearty appetites to Genovese…

Those coupons you get in the mail don’t count for a discount on carry out BUT of course is says nothing on the coupon itself. Don’t think that a take out order is REALLYTAKEN just because you called and spoke with someone. My order wasn’t ready three hours after I called it in. My first experience at this restaurant was terrible. I’ll taste the food and appraise it separately.

Excellent Italian restaurant. Make sure you try the stuffed mushroom appetizer and the cannoli dish for dessert. You won’t be disappointed. We also had the pizza Margherita — which the whole family enjoyed. We’ll definitely come back — especially for their light and fluffy cannoli!
