Slept there the other day. The rooms were OK, I liked the beds but the pillow was so small… It was airplane pillow size and it was just one per person too. I usually like a lot of big pillows to hug and position myself but oh well. The bathrooms were clean and one thing I liked was the amount of towels they gave right off the bat. The building itself looked a little damp; I think it’s the interior color of the building. Breakfast was very limited though… I would have loved some bacon

First of all, I did not choose to stay here I was scheduled to stay here on a team trip. I’m assuming that it was selected based on it’s low price but seriously wish we would’ve splurged even a little bit. Rooms smell like musk. Stains on the walls and bed linens. Ants in the bathroom. Seems like sort of a sketchy place altogether because when we arrived there were 5 cop cars in the court yard area. The front desk staff were pleasant and the housekeepers seemed nice. Just counting down the days until I can leave.(2 days at this point)

I really like the staff here. I have stayed at this hotel for probably a total of 30 nights. The breakfast always sucks but the staff are friendly and helpful. I have noticed rooms being fumigated in the past but I stayed vigilant and always requested rooms that were far from these rooms. I let my guard down this time and was placed in a room directly next to a room that was being fumigated and I didn’t notice. Well I woke up at 3:30 with welts all over. I really feel bad leaving this review, but I have to. I won’t be staying here again until they have their bed bug problem under control. If they fumigate a room, they should really not place anyone in the rooms next to it. FYI, the problem rooms are the ones in the court yard directly to the left when you walk outside as well as the room on the other side of the wall that face south. Good luck with the bed bug battle. I really hope you come out on top and soon. I will stay here again once they have finally conquered this insidious enemy. Fair well Clarion Palmer Inn!

One smoking room in the whole building 2 washing machines $ 2 to wash and $ 2 to dry but NO detergent or vending machine to buy some Free pack and play for babies Free continental breakfast Just OK nothing special. I would have paid a few dollars more to get better amenities. So I’ll go somewhere else next time.

I came out of a company event in Manhattan and decided to take the route 1 corridor to find me a hotel — I always seem to find my way to a Clarion, simply because they are always clean and with a lower cost than some. Bang ! I walk into a spacious room with a couch and coffee table, a very comfortable bed and clean bathroom. I sell and lease hotels for a living — out of the many I have been to I will say this particular one is at the top of my list — paying $ 89 for this room on a Thursday night was a real treat for me — nice staff too.

Stayed at Clarion Hotel not knowing what to expect. It was reasonable clean and nice for the price and all the staff were welcoming and courteous. I was surprised about how nice it was and glad that I stayed there. I did have the misfortune of leaving something in the room. I called and went back the day I checked out and Raj the gentlemen working the front desk was courteous and quite helpful even checking the room and the housekeepers cart. It was scarf and I never did find it but it was nice that we exhausted all avenues. I thank Clarion and Raf for making my stay enjoyable.

A very old and smelly hotel. The hallways stunk and there was pee on my toilet seat and hair on the bathroom walls. The bed was nice but I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay here — it’s like a 70’s hotel that they updated some of. Super nice staff, though. The attached restaurant Pure had decent food but the bar tender was encouraging hookups and drinking shots. Not a great place overall for a business traveller.

Let me just preface this with stating the fact that I had no say in booking this particular hotel, this was all Hubs’s fault. Hubs found this hotel based on one of Travelocity’s «secret» deals with a rock-bottom price but the name of the hotel is hidden until you pay for it. We needed a place to stay in central Jersey while traveling from Boston to Baltimore by car on a Thursday night. So this was it and it was advertised as a 4-star place: non-smoking room, pool(who cares, it was late September?), close to the highways, and breakfast in the morning. We’ve stayed at the Westin in Princeton a few times and we should have stayed there again and paid whatever their going rate was and more. First off, this hotel is old. It needs some serious updating. The exterior of the building leads you to believe it’s some type of resort. It’s not. It was probably an old motel that was given a facelift in the early 90s and this is it. When they say it’s close to the highway, it’s actually ON the highway so if you have one of the front-facing rooms, it will get loud. On to the rooms. You have to walk outside of the lobby, through the courtyard(which looked very nice and new) and down to your room. Once you get to your room, you are in for a surprise. Oh look, more old furniture and bedding. There was an odd musk to the room. Honestly, I wanted bathe myself in Clorox after this event and I was glad I slept in sweatpants and a longsleeve shirt. Hell, I would have slept in a hazmat suit if I could. The stay wasn’t bad and the breakfast served the following morning was nothing special — reheated eggs and bread that was clearly frozen at one point or another and simply reheated. We stopped at a Dunkin Donuts on our way out of town. It needs a serious facelift. The staff was nice but I would have gladly paid much more to stay somewhere else.

Never stay here. Old and dirty. I booked a non smoking room. Upon arrival, all they had were smoking rooms. No chance to get anything else without paying over twice the price. After getting over that, I went to the Pure restaurant and bar attached to the hotel, entering from the hotel lobby. This happened to be their monthly swinger’s club gathering. They are all consenting adults so I won’t add my thoughts on that. However, at 1AM when the bar closes, they all go to their rooms, with whoever they are paired up with. Loud music was the most pleasant sound heard through the paper thin walls. Calls to the front desk were unanswered. I think they should have at least warned the«normal» guests about the orgy they were sponsoring. I’m just grateful I was not with family at the time. It was sad to see other families in the breakfast area the next morning. Must have been a very educational experience for them. Look up «Sizzle» in Princeton. the club actively advertises there monthly gatherings at the hotel and special room rates.

this reminds me of a creepy motel where people hide video cameras in the vents and then break in and assault you… ok, maybe it’s not that bad(and i’ve probably seen too many movies), but it’s didn’t help that i checked in after midnight and left at 7am the next morning(was there for a work day trip to Princeton). the front desk staff was very nice at check in and called me a taxi the next morning. pros: — great value and convenient location. — the rooms are very large and spacious and have both a mini fridge and a microwave. — the bed was pretty comfy. — bathroom had a heat lamp! cons: — i could hear my upstairs neighbors at some point in the night. — the bedding and furniture could use a little updating. — 2 in 1 shampoo + conditioner(never makes my hair feel soft/moisturized after) i’m sure this place is perfectly safe and fine during the day. they even have a pool so it would be a good place for families with children. i personally would probably not stay here again unless i was with someone else.

It is often said that you get what you pay for.. .. but in this case no matter how reasonable the rate, that is not the case here. The room I was in had very stained upholstery on all furniture, the couch was riped with the foam rubber coming out, the areas around the light switches were grimy, the bathroom was free of debris, but very worn and the shower had an adhesive mat on the bottom(usually put in when the bottom is wearing out) which was coming off. In addition the walls are so thin that you can hear every possible sound from outside and the room above. I will say the staff was very helpful and apologetic when I informed that I was cancelling the remainder of my stay after the first night and going else where, but they offered no real explanation for the condition(such as «that is an old room, we are renovating» or «good grief we can’t believe that and would never want a guest to have to stay in such a room»). If you need a cheap place to crash and there is absolutely no where else available, go for it, but other wise there are other hotels in the area with similar prices which can’t be worse.

We stayed here the first weekend in May, 2012, as we were in town for a family event. This hotel is very pet friendly, and friendly to people as well. It was not one of the finest hotels I’ve ever stayed at, but the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, plenty of towels, the included continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful. I would stay there again. The staff was just great, very accommodating, and the room rate could not be beat. Ask for Melissa… she’s top notch… and a dog lover!
