What a great experience it was to be at the Eastern State Prison with a teacher who clearly loves what he does.

I have been to a number of Princeton Photo Workshops. They have all been amazing. The most recent one I did was Nighttime Photography in Philadelphia with David Hartz. He was a knowledgeable, friendly, and patient instructor. It was a great evening. I also highly recommend Alan Kesselhaut’s Lightroom course. It really clarified both the organizational and editing features of the program. Alan is also extremely knowledgeable and open to questions about anything related to photography or post-processing. It was one of the most valuable courses I have taken. Also recommended are Alan’s Holidays Lights of New York workshop and Frank Veronsky’s Portrait Photography.

I just came back from a private 1 hour session with Alan and it was amazing! He explained everything with such ease. He listens to you and makes sure you understand what he is explaining. He breaks things down to describe what you need to know. I graduated with my degree in photography 9 years ago and taking this session with Alan was just want I needed to refresh my knowledge. I definitely recommend taking a class or a session. The different variety of classes they offer is great! I will signing up for more classes in the future.

I took the Lightroom workshop. The instructor went slowly and made sure we all understood everything, step by step. I was so happy to find this workshop so close to home. I am definitely interested in taking some more classes to perfect my skills! It is really worth your time to learn from such experienced instructors.

I have had the pleasure of taking several classes and workshops/trips with Princeton Photo Workshop, including trips such as Grand Central Terminal, Eastern State Penitentiary, and Grounds for Sculpture, and classes like Getting to Know your Digital SLR Camera. Their instructors, such as Alan(although all are great), really love photography and, just as importantly, love to teach. They have encouraged me to stretch my boundaries and get out of my comfort zone, and my photography has improved immensely because of this. I highly recommend any of their trips or classroom instruction.

I’ve taken several photography classes with Alan at Princeton Photo Workshop. I live in Northern NJ so most of the classes I have taken have been composition classes that meet in New York City. I did a couple Grand Central photography classes as well as a Holiday lights class If you are looking to learn photography or take your photography to the next level, Princeton Photo Workshops can help you do it. In addition to the photo composition tips, you’ll also get great tips on post-processing work. I drove all the way to Princeton from the George Washington bridge to take an HDR class. Alan is an expert at HDR and the class was totally worth the trip. I learned so much about software programs I was already using and those I hadn’t tried yet. My post-processing work has definitely improved as a result of that class! In addition to the excellent instruction, it’s also great to mingle to with other photographers of various levels.

Alan’s workshop was informative as educational. Even though I already had a workflow and process that worked I still walked away with valuable information that improved my photography. He took the time to provide extra tips and suggestions.
