This place is really great. The food is really good, the ambience is super chill and there is lice music on the weekends. Lillianna(the owner) is really sweet. This is definitely a great neighborhood spot!

Food is a bit pricey and slow to deliver but I understand they have a new kitchen staff and it looks promising. What I like most about the place is the layout. An eclectic and funky assortment of tables, chairs and couches. Really great coffee shop for meeting with a friend or doing your homework.

The worst coffee ever. My friends and I tried twice. The color is just light brownish water and taste doesn’t like coffee at all. Food is good but the place has no ventilation and I got really nauseous from bacon fume during Sunday brunch time. I really wanted to like it but sorry I’m not going back.

May be the best brunch in the neighborhood. I love it! People are very friendly. Coffee is great and you can listen to jazz live on Sunday morning.

Glad we found this neighborhood nook of an eatery. My family and I were looking for a place to have breakfast before our long drive back to MD. This is such a cute little place. Very earthy looking with wooden tables and plants surrounding. Seems like their menu changes changes daily as I was looking to have something in which I saw on another Unilocal review and they did not have it. I was happy with our order as I had the Mushroom Frittata-cooked well done and the side of greens was a nice addition, My daughter had the tuna melt– she enjoyed it and my brother had the breakfast platter which came with moist delicious scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, arugula greens, breakfast potatoes and toast. We all enjoyed our meal. Nothing fancy but did it’s job. Check them out of your in the area.

I’ve tried blessings several times and I’ve gatta say I like the fact that the menu changes consistently. I look forward to eating there because no matter what I know anything I order on any given day; is going to be delicious. This is probably why there is no physical menu… Because it’s not necessary. It keeps things interesting. Also great to get fresh quality food in the neighborhood and in a cozy environment.

Blessings is my favorite ever, period, the end. I’m a freelancer and live half a block away, so Blessings is basically my office 3x or so a week, and my boyfriend and I usually stop in at least once on the weekend as well. The positive are, in no particular order: CHAILATTES. They get their syrup from a local guy who runs his own small business and it is bomb. I don’t drink coffee, so I rely on chais everywhere I go, and I am hooked on this one. FOOD. I have brought many people here and no one is ever disappointed in a menu dish. Dave, the chef, and his assistant work wonders with just some hot plates and griddles behind the counter. On the weekends when it’s super busy, there can be a little bit of a wait. You’ll always be warned about it and you can eat a croissant while you wait. This is a win. VIBE. It’s super cute in here — lots of exposed brick, mismatched chairs, eclectic artwork. Totally unpretentious, shelves of books hanging around, and even a bench with kids toys for the young’uns of PLG. People that come here are friendly — I am admittedly kind of surly and distrustful but many people have struck up conversation with me here and they’ve all been lovely. It’s an excellent spot to get to know your community. SERVICE. Lilli and her staff are the NICESTHUMANSOMG. They are so sweet, kind, and friendly and its amazing to have somewhere that feels neighborhoody in the middle of Brooklyn. Amongst all of the positives, this is really the best one — I miss the feel of having«work friends» and Lilli and her baristas kind of fill that void for me. OUTLETSANDWIFI. Of the many, many days I’ve worked here, wifi has been wonky exactly twice — which gives it greater consistency than anywhere else that I’ve tried in the neighborhood. There are plenty of outlets in the back and by 11/12pm on a weekday, you’ll usually see all the camped out remote workers/freelancers in the back. I try to get here before 10 for my preferred spots, but people arriving all through the day are always able to sit. Blessings is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood and can easily serve as a go to for weekend brunch or your weekday coffice.

LOL if I can give it 0 stars, then I would, even that would be TOO high of a rating. So my friends and I try to get in since we are nicely blocked by some band that was in the way of the front. OK so we get passed them, as it’s a café right? We make our way to find seating, we are party of 3. We had to find the hostess. When I saw her, I told her we were three, there was a room to the back, we figured we can see if there are seats. This person asks if we ordered,… hmmm, no did we get seated … NO. then we ask where the menu, she ‘enthusiastically’ responds … its’ on the wall. Well what was on the wall was a ONE black board, above the counter, and illegible. She didn’t even give the time to say what specials were for the day. for starters– minus for NO hostess additional –minus for NO menu further — minus for lack helpfulness and not courteous to guest finally — minus for fire hazard of people blocking the doorway However I must thank them, because we continued our journey on flatbush and found awesome meal at another restaurant, which was the blessing of the day.

The sweetest place after a long day of roamin’, right next to a park and the coffee’s a foamin.’ The brunch is the bestest and the service is too good, once you stop in here, it’s an auto-good mood!

The café is located in an unexpected neighborhood on the east side of prospect park. Although the neighborhood itself is not too colorful, the café is opposite of its surrounding. The mismatched tables and chairs and hardwood floor gives off a relaxing atmosphere. The abundant of toys and colorfully painted toys yells, «welcomes family as well as board game loving groups.» They serve full breakfasts and brunch with eggs, pancakes and apple cider, as well as, quick pastries and coffees for the busy morning bees. If it’s cold outside you can sit inside near the windows for sunlight. If it’s warm, they have a small backyard with seating. HOWEVER, and this is a BIGONE, they have a open make-shift kitchen. I was there for about an hour and my clothing smelt of the food inside. I am wearing some fake leather jacket that generally rejects aroma absorption, so I am pretty shocked. Maybe the owner can get some quiet ventilation system? Or maybe just some standing foil to direct the smell elsewhere? Otherwise, I’ll be hesitant to stay there, that is unless laundry day fall on the same day.

I had to write a review right this minute because the bagel I am eating is so fluffy and crusty and perfectly cream cheesed. This is a lovely place run by wonderful people. Their coffee and espresso beverages are great and they sell cute plants also.

Lovely tiny café. I almost walked right past it but once inside this small café had a jazz band set up near the doorway and 2 small tables. More seating can be found in the back. Great tunes to listen to as you enjoy your breakfast /brunch. The pastry case looks tempting however I was on a mission for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast platter and a hot chocolate with soy. The hot chocolate is served in a mason jar with a handle. I sat at the bar. The wait for the food wasn’t too long. The eggs were incredible. The entire breakfast was delicious. Tender bacon, crispy toast and yummy salad. I’ll definitely visit again as its a short walk around the park from where I usually stay. Despite the number of customers that came after me, the lady taking the ordered remembered your name. That’s great customer service. My only concern about this establishment is the number of flies I saw. The flies were hanging out toward the seating area in the back of the restaurant.

Hey– Tried to stop by Blessings yesterday around 10:30 am and it was all closed up and looked very disorganized inside. Does anyone know what the deal is? I pray that this hasn’t gone the way of so many other small, family-owned places in Brooklyn.

Best coffee and breakfast food in the area. I’ve been coming here regularly since this place opened and I’m happy to say I still love it! For brunch, everything is solid but I highly recommend the veggie hash, breakfast platter, and french toast.

Great place! Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. I had the veggie scramble — red and yellow peppers, bok choy, good seasonings! Side of fresh mesculin with a light balsamic dressing. Also tried the sweet potato hash — YUM! Definitely try this. Cold brew coffee is a must, as well. Love the people who work here and it just feels like home. Come on the weekends for live jazz up front!

What a true blessing Blessings is! We just moved to the neighborhood and without a working kitchen, we needed a cozy place to eat and chill out for a few hours before we head back to the chaos of home renovation. The instant we walked in, we fell in love with Blessings. There’s a big bar counter, a number of small tables and seats. It’s not a large place, but somehow it makes enough room for everyone who comes in. It’s amazing how delicious and incredible the food is. And it’s all made without a full-fledged kitchen(I guess I shouldn’t complain about not having a kitchen at home). They’re slammed for business and with the small space, it takes a while for the food to come out(about a half hour wait). But it’s well worth the wait. Get a cup of coffee or an espresso drink and relax. When the food comes out, you’ll be in nirvana. My favorite is the bananas foster French toast. Two thick slices of Challah bread, slices of bananas fosters in between, sliced strawberries and blueberries piled high, topped off with freshly whipped cream and lying in pool of caramelized brown sugar sauce. HEAVEN!!! I can’t get enough of it. We’ve also gotten the breakfast platter(scrambled eggs, flatbread toast, home fries, bacon, and salad) and the salmon pastrami sandwich(salmon pastrami, fried egg on a croissant and salad). All very delicious. I’m also a big fan of their bacon. So meaty and crisp. My mouth waters thinking of it. The only down side is that the coffee is a bit weaker than I would like, but the food is so out of the park good that I can’t knock them down for it. We just get an espresso drink instead. The serving size for both the drinks and food are generous and the prices are reasonable. We love Blessings and we feel blessed that we found it.
